It was easy to make reservations and when we arrived everything was ready for us. It is a small restaurant with a small wait staff but was surprised at how efficient Antonio, the waiter, was with our large group and surprised at how fast the food was ready. We took up the majority of the restaurant. The dim lighting and surrounding were great and the food was excellent. Every dish that we had was really good and got to try several of my friends different dishes that were also excellent. Then came the bill which I was shocked at how inexpensive it was. By far one of my favorite dinners while in San Francisco with all of my friends. There is no kids menu but the staff was happy to suggest some alternative dishes for our kids. The food is excellent and I think it's likely a lovely place for a romantic meal. We had a large table in a semi private room. We were surrounded by walls lined with fantastic wine. The food was fantastic, except since we started dinner so late they were out of a couple of dishes and our first choice in wine. It was very busy upstairs so our service was a bit slow. Only other negative would be the lack of a full bar. I probably wouldn't have booked the reservation had I known that. The wine list was fantastic, we ordered a few bottles and really enjoyed the choices. The gnocchi was the best we ever have tasted. They offer gluten free pasta which was light and flavorful.
