  • "My girlfriend and I come here from time to time to reset with a wonderful evening. There usually is a little bit of a wait, which is fine by us, as they have a very pleasant bar with live music, an incredible selection of Scotch and the best Moscow mule (cocktail) I've ever had. The wine selection might be daunting if it weren't for the sommelier, who can advise the perfect pairing with any dish. As far as the dishes, we have yet to have one that isn't delicious. The crab cake is one of the best I've had, the steaks leave me longing for my next visit, and the sides are varied and well executed. I particularly recommend the Australian Wagyu Strip Steak."

The service was genuinely outstanding. Staff was very attentive without being overbearing, they were all so polite, and we never felt rushed. Everyone who walked through the door behind us got same story, "you're table is not ready yet but please have a seat in our lounge...which she knew was completely full." After finally getting to our table, manager who sat us apologized for the "confusion." Sorry pal, the only confusion was on your end. A/C was not working and my wife kept getting dripped on from the vent over her head. Stepson agreed to switch with her to save her two-hour hair-do. Lobster bisque was sub par and steak was not worth $45. Manager did remove $50 from bill which brought it just under $200 for three people."

The crab cakes, topped off with large lump blue crab, were by far the best I have tasted since moving away from the Louisiana coast. The entire staff was extremely knowledgable, friendly and very attentive to our needs without noticeably going over the top. All of our entrees were prepared to perfection with an elegant presentation. Since this was our first visit we didn't veer far too from the norm (chopped salad, 12 oz filet, scallop potatoes and asparagus). The crab cake was so delicious, we asked our waitress to bring a second one with the main course! We cannot wait for our next "special occasion" so we can sample more of the entrees and side dishes."

The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly."

We were so impressed by the service and bread pudding, we went back later in the week just for dessert and coffee. Again...fantastic!! We were in Houston on vacation. So, while there we also had dinner at Brennan's and Mark's American Cuisine. Vic & Anthony's was far superior to both of these other restaurants. Our 2 visits to Vic & Anthony's were very memorable experiences during our week away. We will DEFINITELY go there again when we go back to Houston!!"

  • "I did enjoy my food. My wife not so much. She was very critical of the salad. We found the cake lacking. The wait staff was highly professional and very attentive. Overall all a few minor degrees of separation with 'other steak restaurants'. Unfortunately we won't be rushing back but in all fairness my wife favors a menu that isn't surf and turf heavy. Unfortunately I would tell a friend V &A is similar to all the other big name Steak Restaurants."

  • "4 of us went to Vic & Anthony's for a retirement/birthday dinner @ 5PM on a Saturday. From the moment we sat down our servers were very attentive. They made excellent recommendations and all of the food and beverages were fantastic. Although they recommend business casual attire, I did see people with Jeans on and dressed casually. The dining room we were seated in had moderate noise levels so this is not a quiet romantic type of place to attend (at least not at the time we were there)."

  • " I took my boyfriend out for his birthday dinner at his all time FAVORITE steak restaurant, Vic and Anthony's. He ordered the filet and I had their rock lobster. We had broccoli and fried onion strings to accompany our entrees. Our waitress was wonderful! Very attentive to our needs. She brought out my boyfriends favorite chocolate cake for dessert with a birthday candle. Super sweet of her! We only go inside the loop for very special occasions and Vic and Anthony's is always our first choice for dinner."

  • "We went for an anniversary dinner. Huge mistake! We were seated in a back corner by a fire escape door, with a dripping water vent above us. When asked to be re-seated, which we could tell annoyed everyone including our waitress, who was never around much again all night. I ordered a bone in NY strip medium, which showed up rare. I asked a near by waiter to please have warmed a bit more(our waitress was no where to be found). They cut the steak and re-heated it, needless to say was then dry as shoe leather. Middle of dinner our waitress grabs my empty cocktail glass, never to return with a new one. If your looking for a high end steakhouse that takes care of you this is not it. Too many great steak places in Houston, we will not be back."

  • "We live about an hour away from downtown, but I had heard nothing but great things about Vic and Anthony's, so I decided why not. They seated us promptly (15 mins early of reservation time). We got our drinks and waited a while before she came back for our dinner order, which was fine as we were in no hurry. The food was by far worth every penny. We then waited 35 MINS FOR VALET. I asked a worker for help and he just walked off. I complained of this to the guy working the desk, and he rudely told me "he must've been busy" and as I was telling him of our problem he literally turned his head and started talking to someone else. This completely killed the whole night. They were so disrespectful it made me never want to return to the place"
