  • "This was our third or fourth visit to Vibrato Grill. We took a family member this time and she thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our waiter was excellent; the food was delicious, and the music enjoyable and of high-quality."

  • "Wonderful ambiance, great service and amazing food. The lamb chop lollipops are addictive!! A bit of extra room on the floor for dancing would be perfect. Would also like to hear some Tijuana Brass in the background when the band isn't playing."

  • "1. I should have called and to confirm when the singer would start. we had early dinner but the show started after 09:00 p.m. in Blue note .. there is two sessions .. just did not know. 2. The diver scallop dish was way tooo salty.. and the short ribs dry and without much flavor.. disappointed the kitchen not putting out solid food. 3. The venue was way too noisy to hear the singer.. the patrons are more interested in talking to themselves than to hear live music.. a bit sorry for the music act on stage.. Perhaps service should stop at 09:00 p.m so you dont have constant waiters hovering in front while the live music is made to be the focus.. Drinks can continue .. my first Los angeles supper club experience and was not overwhelmed.."

  • "I was looking for some place with an "LA" vibe. It was my wife's birthday and we haven't been living here long. Herb Alpert? Jazz? Can't go wrong? Not exactly. Vibratto is located in a non-descript strip mall in Bel Air, but inside it is nicely decorated. In theory, all seats are set up for a view of the stage. There is good lighting and nice art. Anna Mjoll was pleasant enough. Given the Herb Alper imprimatur, I was expecting outstanding. The food set a new standard for mediocrity. But for a meal that with drinks was about $100/person, I think we should get more. Short of having a real name that I want to see such a John Pizzarelli, etc. it's unlikely I'll go back and I LOVE music."

  • "An evening with Steve Tyrell & his marvelous band is a "must-see" event! You will never find a better venue than Vibrato. Truly a gem! Food is always outstanding & service is top notch."

  • "John Proulx is a talented Grammy-Award winning composer/pianist. His fresh take on the standards are inventive & delightful. His voice is reminiscent of Chet Baker. Go see him at Vibrato - you will not be disappointed."

  • "You never know who might drop in! Mary Steenburgen gave a lovely performance of her original song from the movie "LAST VEGAS" - "Cup of Trouble" as well as a sweet tribute song to her husband (Ted Danson) which she had written just for him. The great Grammy-award winning composer/pianist JOHN PROULX accompanied her. Their duet together was wonderful."

  • "I find more and more that restaurants are disregarding open table reservations perhaps because there have been too many no shows or they are so overbooked, they just don't care. We ended up sitting at the bar, no big deal except for the band was very lackluster in their performance. We did splurge and got a limo so after 45 mins we were out of there!"

  • "I went there for my anniversity. The food was amazing, the service impecanble, and I really like that they gave us flowers when we got there and everybody seemed to know that it was my annyversity. I recomend on making reservation, they will give you a better sitting."

  • "My son's Spring Jazz concert went upscale at this marvelous venue. We got a great table with a plum view of the stage. The food while pricey was quite yummy. However, the kitchen divided our Cesar salads beautifully, but forgot the dressing and getting enough some required some nagging. Other than that the service was adequate. We stuck to the more affordable menu items -- the tuna tarter which needed a kick seasoning wise, the Kobe hamburger and a side of mac & cheese. My dad loved the lamb chops and my daughter and I split the salmon which was quite tasty. The ambience for the music rocked and I filled out the survey thanking Vibrato for letting our upper school band play there."

  • "I planned a night out to celebrate my husbands birthday and Vibrato did not disappoint. Service was excellent and the music was wonderful. We will definitely return!"

  • "Had been here one previous occasion, which was great enough to bring me back for a dinner with my parents. The food was terrible. A $42 steak should taste like one, not old and inedible. I honestly thought Sizzlers quality trumped all our dishes that night. We all felt ripped off and left with the sense we'd never come back. I would never run a business that would put such ugly tastes in the mouths of my clients..no pun intended."

  • "Took a chance and brought my fiancee there for a very special dinner during our only night in L.A. The place is amazing. Superb food, excellent service and the jazz show was spectacular. Yes it might get expensive, but this is a once in a lifetime experience."

  • "Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Agree checking out the menu on-line I had already had my mind set on ordering the ribeye. We both love ribeye. It was disappointing when we were handed revised menus because there meat order didn't come in. Only steak available was the Filet Mignon. So as to not ruin his birthday I just adjusted my request and tried the salmon. The food and service were great however I came to this spot for the steak and there was only one steak selection available. Not a great first impression. When confirming reservations one she be advised the menu was completely chopped down. Not steak choices or veggies. There was no corn available either. Not too sure I'll be returning"

  • "This place was money well spent. As a college student, every expense is weighed heavily. I wanted to make my mom's birthday exceptional. I wanted to take her somewhere special, unique, fun, and fancy. I researched many restaurants, specifically with live music and made a reservation 2 weeks in advance. Vibrato was perfect. The wine was great, the service was professional and polite. The food was decadent. The music was fantastic. Really, it was a great show. My mom loved it; she felt lively and pampered which is exactly how I wanted her to feel. Definitely a success."

  • "Beautiful, cozy and friendly restaurant. Excellent drinks from the bartender (Gregg). Great venue for jazz. The Petite Filet Mignon and sides (asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes) were prepared as requested, in a friendly and timely manner, with a nice Cab. Went very well with the music and ambience. Would definitley go back."

  • "This was such a wonderful neighborhood find. I will now smile big every time I drive by Vibrato Grill, remembering the great time I had there. I cannot imagine that a Saturday nite could be more of a huge party than the Wednesday I was there. It was relaxed and high energy at the same time. It was also a star-studded extravaganza. The band with Brenna and Tom Jones were beyond amazing. Everybody should go here at least once. You never know who you might see."

  • "I'm from east coast and was looking for place like Vibrato for valentine's night. I really enjoyed the live music and quality food. Definitely recommend it for people who look for a romantic night with their partner."

  • "For my best friend's birthday dinner, I wanted him to enjoy the atmosphere of wherever we eat and relax. Since the space is somewhat small we had to move the table to get in and almost bump elbows with our neighbors. Good thing one couple left and we adjusted our tables for more space. The music was awesome, food was cooked well, but the flavor could have more to it. Our server Adrian was awesome. Louie Cruz Beltran (Louie Louie) who played the percussion and sang with the band were wonderful and very interactive with the dinner guests. He introduced a woman named Betty Bryant in her sixties with a very powerful sexy voice."

  • "I can't speak enough of this place. It is pricey but you get the level of service you should expect for the price. Not a place you would go for a quick lunch. Take your date out here for a very special occasion. He or she will love it. The live music was spectacular. Nothing bad to say about the place at all. When you leave just go out and observe the city night lights of LA from the top of the hills."

  • "Vibrato's has been on my dining and jazz wish list for awhile. I made the trek from Orange County as a Wednesday treat to enjoy an evening of jazz. I was treated to a combination intimate dining and recording studio. The acoustics are so well done, you can truly enjoy every nuance of the performance. To top it off a foodie's menu. I paired the jumbo shrimp brûlée with the roasted ruby beet salad - what a treat! I highly recommend the journey up Beverly Glen drive and I will be back."

  • "We had no idea this was here, but so glad we found it. The entire ambiance is perfect for an evening of fine food and entertainment. Excellent fine dining. We brought our own wine. (Corkage fee is $25) Appetizers, salads, dinner, dessert. All choices were very good."

  • "Our dear friend turned 88 this year and wanted to celebrate at Vibrato - she loves the place! The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. They were able to switch our seating so we were a bit closer to the restrooms and no stairs to climb. Beautiful orchids awaited the birthday girl - compliments of the restaurant. Our waiter was superb - charming, helpful, knowledgeable and handsome to boot - he added tremendously to the celebratory aspect of the occasion by giving really special attention to our friend (which she loved)! The food and drink were excellent, and the classy atmosphere is like no place else. The music was perfection - making the night truly memorable!!"

  • "Per the above, it is outstanding overall. The night we attended the crowd was less than attentive to the music and more engaged in their table conversation. The level of table talk affected our enjoyment of the performance."

  • "I really enjoyed my evening at Vibrato Grill Jazz Club. The quality of the salmon was excellent! The waiters were attentive also. I loved the music most of all. I look forward to hearing the blues performance as well as jazz performances. I will return to Vibrato as soon asmy schedule permits. Thanks for a wonderful night."

  • "Hostess ignores you until you make a scene to get her attention, then instead of walking you to a table, she just points and lets you navigate your way through a crowd to a table. After that, the waiter is supposed to bring menu's, but on this slow night (830 PM on a Sunday) it took over 10 minutes to get a menu, 15 to get bread, and 20 just to get a water and a drink order in. This all happens when there is no music, and many many waiters standing at the bar talking to the bartender. I would not recommend this place, it has potential and the food is amazing, but the service staff is the largest detractor. I almost left after how the hostess treated my party."

  • "We took the time to find this restaurant that has jazz and foods that can comfort us. It was $45 per person. We ordered beet salad, ceasar salad, fillet mignon, wild salmon and for dessert pudding and chocolate lava cake. Overall the foods were not amazing at all except the salad. Fillet mignon taste was too plain, salmon was okay. Then for dessert Pudding was too sweet and for lava cake, there is chocolate inside which is too bitter."

  • ""Relaxed" is the single word I would use to describe the overall experience. A combination of outstanding music, laid back, but attentive service, and very good food produced one of the most romantic evenings in a long time."

  • "The night we went to Vibrato it was packed and loud. Not great for talking. But the food was excellent and the service was really good and the entertainment was fun. A quieter night would be better next time but overall it was great."
