Vibrato Grill Jazz...etc.Steak FoodieVery elegant, intimate and cozy restaurant with great live jazz. Seating and service was prompt. Waiter was non existant once. The wine wine list was on point. The ambuance of the restaurant was very complimentry to my beautiful date. Romance with a pop is the theme of this restaurant. The selection of food wasn't among the best in steaks but the creamed spinach was to my liking. We were never asked to leave due to the 2 hour 15 minute limit, which is understood. The place wan't very full (early - it filled up later). Their cocktail menu was really fun and quite good. And, their wine list was quite nice. The jazz was top notch - not too loud as to subdue conversation - but present enough to truly enjoy it. The food - while good - wasn't great. All the dishes we tried were well prepared, but nothing stood out as a "must try again!"
I will completely recommend this place, however, as an experience. Our server was amazing, and the ambiance was incredible. Our only complaint is that the waiters gave us 3 dishes on our table all at the same time - app, salad, and main. It was too much food in front of us, it was hard to focus on the band.

This past weekend, we made it work. The decor is warm and friendly. The performances were great. The food was very good. The service was well-intentioned, but over worked and forgetful. Our waiter was honest, nice and apologetic. Overall, we will return and we will look forward to it. The food and service were excellent as always. I had my favorite roasted beet salad, followed by the wild organic salmon. Both were delicious and well presented. The atmosphere at Vibrato is gorgeous, with tasteful decoration and lighting. The sound system and music quality are unmatched in the LA area. I loved the layout, small stage and comfortable, close setting. The tables were set that I felt I was in a small jazz bar, loved it. Vibrato has great food and wonderful ambiance. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday celebration and we had a great time from the sea bass to the pear almond tart, the food was delicious. My only complaint would be the beet salad which was skimpy at best. The Gypsy All-Stars were playing and they had everyone riveted and moving to the exotic sounds. I don't usually mention the sound level first but it was just right. What a shame it would have been to have fine musicians and not be able to hear.
FOOD: My crab cake special was delicious as was my friends' bone in rib eye (she declared it better than a top in steak house which shall remain unnamed). They have amazing service and a bottle of chardonnay and flowers were set up at the table when we arrived. The jazz band was wonderful as we sat in the front enjoying the music and our food. Upon our 6:15pm arrival, only a few tables were seated. We suggest you request the first floor unless you really do not care about the entertainment. Ordering was easy, our server was excellent - answering all questions we had on the menu. One guest at our table raved about the lamb chops, I was quite pleased with the sea bass preparation and flavor. The farmhouse salad was delicious and large enough for two people. Desserts were good too. The music was nice, not very loud and all seven of us could hear our conversation. By the time we left, the bar was packed.
