"My wife and I dined here for our 7th wedding anniversary. The server, David, was great and knew his stuff. Mixed drinks were -very- strong. I had a very good, rich french onion soup to start and my wife had a very good "chopped steakhouse" salad. I had the 14 ounce bone-in filet which was perfectly cooked and she had the surf'n'turf - 6 ounce filet and half lobster tail. All were excellent, though they cook over an oak wood grill and the smaller filet was almost overpoweringly "oak-ey". Dessert was a good chocolate suffle.

Only complaint was the table next to us had the steak au poivre, which is sauteed at the table. That left us covered in smoke for the second half of our meal. VERY expensive - $200 total for the night with ti"

"If you are looking for something a little bit different, give this place a try. The food and service are excellent. The menu has some really interesting items. The Dover Sole was cooked to perfection."

"The food and service was very good. I am not sure my husband and i would go back, as we are not big sauce people, and the food from appetizer to main meal is covered in sauce. Again it was very good if you enjoy food with a lot of sauce. We have been to france many times, and they do not heavily sauce their foods."

"It was very good .... however, I had the duck and my husband had the fish. The duck was no where near as good as his fish. You just have to know where a restaurant's chef strengths are..and the fish and steaks are more his forte."

"Old school french restaurant. Absolutely outstanding in every regard. We are grandparents and love our kids and grandkids but really enjoy the policy of not allowing children under 18. This restaurant is relaxing, romantic with great food. The duck confit is wonderful."

"Viande Rouge is more than a dining experience -- it's a complete sensory extravaganza. You step from a strip mall into what seems like a French bordello, although no bordello ever served food like this. The greetings from the staff, sights and sounds (terrific background music) are just a tease as of course the drinks, wine and food are the real reason to come here. You can get a great steak at many places in town; you can get a decent French meal at a few others. Nowhere can you get both in same place with this overall experience. Only warning: leave your diet at the door! Maybe best of all it had been several months since we last went there and remarkably the bartender and other staff remembered our drink and other preferences."
