Via ViteOutstandingThe food, atmosphere, and service were just perfect.
Thank you,
Josh5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMhighly recommended!I went in for lunch with a group of coworkers and everything was great. I ordered the cioppino, which was out of this world. Then i finished with the spinach ravioli due to our server ashley's recommendation. It was amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Food was great, service was impeccable.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointsWe had a terrific dinner experience on a busy Saturday night. Chef Pietoso personally visited the tables to explain the menu, answer questions, and check on our experience after dinner. The personal touch was greatly appreciated and added to the experience. Food was excellent as usual and was a hit with our birthday guest. THe lamb shank is amazing as was the fish special. We have been to Via Vite several times before and will continue to eat there in the future. HIghly recommend.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBlew Our Socks Off!We had a terrific experience at Via Vite. The drinks we ordered while waiting for our table were very well made. Our server was very personable and knowledgable. The chef came to our table as we were perusing the menu and offered suggestions. What a nice experience. We were celebrating my daughter's graduation from Xavier University and this was a fun, hip and happening place to be that evening.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGood FoodAte here on a Friday night. Service was very good. Water was kept full. Chef came by to check in and talk about his dishes. We live close by and Via Vite is always a sure bet for good food and good atmosphere. Not cheap but the food and atmosphere are worth it. Very nice place to take guests or have a special occasion dinner.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMService and food was great.Service and food was great. Very nice atmosphere. THe insalata caprese was outstanding. THe chef came out to all thetable and introduced himself and thatwas very niceandrefreshing. Will definitly return and recommend to friends.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Downtown Lunch SpotI have had lunch at Via Vite many times and this time did not disappoint. We were seated immediately, even on a work week day when the Reds were playing an afternoon game. Our service was timely and not intrusive. The food was wonderful and our waiter even made mention of my guest's birthday and offered dessert. All in all a great lunchtime place whether for a business lunch meeting, celebration or a lunch out with friends.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Soup in Town!I am not a foodie and certainly not accustomed to writing reviews however the cauliflower soup I had for lunch the other day deserves to be noticed. Three of us were there for a business lunch, two of us ordered soup. I was accused of sounding like Bill Murray in "What About Bob" while eating my soup. It was heavenly. It was a special and OMG it was special.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMReally great ItalianWe got gnocchi, spinach ravioli, and pasta with meat sauce and all were great. They can make gluten free pasta as well! Wonderful restaurant, and we would highly recommend it.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our favorite restaurantThis is our favorite restaurant in Cincinnati-excellent food and moderate prices make this a place we come to frequently. When the weather permits, we love being outside.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNew favoriteIf you go, you have to try the assorted brushetta and the chocolate creme brûlée! They were absolutely fabulous! We had a great server and the owner came out to make sure we were happy. It's our new favorite place!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptionalWe had a tremendous experience as always. Chef Christian takes the time to visit our table to make sure everything is great (and it always is) and he also made sure to thank us when we left. The food is always great and the service is also very good. It is our favorite restaurant to go to.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVia Vite was very good asVia Vite was very good as usual. The food is interesting and different. My only comment is that they have very few meatless choices and many of the dishes looked a little heavy. I had the pork lion and it was exceptional. The noise level was a little higher than I usually like but it was a busy Saturday night.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways excellentWe go after the ballet because they serve late, food is outstanding!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMVia Vite is a consistentlyVia Vite is a consistently very good place to enjoy a night out and some really good food.
Chef Christian is wise enough to know that the customers love to see him soliciting their opinion.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant is a gem. This restaurant is a gem. Everyone there is nice and accommodating. We had a party of seven and the food and wine offerings were terrific,
And they handled everything with ease.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food celebratingExcellent food celebrating a birthday meal for my Mother. Pastas and pizza were great, tuna with cauliflower was spectacular.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMun sat restuaranti wanted to take my lady out to a nice dinner and i had heard some reviews about this place, so i made reservations. once we got there we were directed toward our seats by a nice friendly hostess. our waiter asked us for our drinks and we ordered a bottle of wine. once he brought back the bottle it took him several minutes to open and he even broke the cork off inside the bottle. he said he had opened many bottles before but clearly he did not, its not that hard to open a bottle of wine with a corkscrew. once we ordered our food it came out shortly afterwards. nice display of food but the portions were not compared to the prices that they cost. also my lady ordered the special, lasagna and they were out of it, not good at all.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe potato leek soup withThe potato leek soup with truffel oil was fantastic. The service was great as well. Great prices for the happy hour.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOur party was seated in aOur party was seated in a small room on the second floor. Very quiet, great to relax and enjoy a meal with family.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently Fantastic! GreatConsistently Fantastic! Great Neopolitan pie, awesome pastas and salads.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always have a wonderfulWe always have a wonderful dinner at Via Vite. It's hard to choose among the salads, the main dishes and the deserts because there are so many that sound amazing. We go there for special occasions and have a full dinner with 3 courses - way more food than we normally eat. But it is also great for a light dinner, like one of the bigger starters or a big salad and a glass of wine. It is on the noisy side and they keep the courses coming, so it's not the best place for a lingering romantic dinner. But the people watching is great, both inside the restaurant and outside on Fountain Square, with is easily visible while you are dining.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sunday BrunchWe had another delicious Sunday brunch - eggs and sausage over polenta, and a yummy asparagus and spinach quiche. I noticed two families with one child each, and saw there is a children's menu. While this is primarily an adult restaurant, I think it would work well for the "well-behaved" child. Our waiter was very sensitive to our need for timely service, as we were going to a play.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPlace and food was great.Place and food was great. Service was very good although the food took a little long as well as the time to get to our table.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable ExperienceExcellent experience the service was impecable. The chef took the time to come out and explain some of the plates we had. His attention made our experience memorable. The weather was nice so overlooking Fountain Square while dinning outside was a big plus.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVia Vite's Chef is No. 1How often does the chef visit your table, shake your hand and HONESTLY ask if you are happy with your meal? Only at Via Vite!
The evening's special will be exactly as described in the menu (lamb shank) and will offer a truly enjoyable feast.
Upon returning to pick up dinner leftovers (stored in their fridg. while we went to the theater), he addressed us by name. Considering how many people he sees in one evening, remembering our name says valuing the customer is no. 1 on his list.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMItalian delight!Wonderful restaurant! We ordered the Crispy Gnocchi for an appetizer and it was great! The homemade lasagna tasted superb and the portion was so large that it was also lunch the next day! We then ordered the Caramel Complexity for dessert! Wow! Caramel gelato with a caramel mousse layered between two crispy pastries. Best dessert ever! The chef visited our table at the beginning and the end of the meal!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat place to meet a friendgreat place to meet a friend as always, delicious food, great atmosphere4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Italian in Cincy!Via Vite is always one of our favorite casual dining experiences in Cincinnati. The food is authentic Italian and the service and atmosphere are exceptional. It is a Cincinnati must!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVia Vite--FABULOUS!!The food was fabulous...unique and flavorful and worth the price. The chef visits your table; how refreshing!! The view is great and it's a perfect place to go before a show at the Aronoff!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good TimeWas a little worried that they wouldn't be able to accommodate our 12:15 reservation as they were pretty busy. However the staff was wonderful about getting us a table and we were accommodated in one of their private rooms. The food was spectacular and the wait staff was very knowledgeable, I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Would recommend to friends without hesitation.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was perfect and we wereIt was perfect and we were in and out in time to see the show!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fabulous andThe food was fabulous and the service great. Ambiance is a little "cold" for my taste and it tends to be somewhat noisy. Very ejoyable and great food. We will be back.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA downtown gem.Awesome food prepared and presented to whet your appetite. This should be your go to place for pizza if you are dining downtown.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been to this restaurantWe have been to this restaurant several times. Each time is a great visit. We love the view of the square and feel like we are in the middle of all of the city action. It was especially nice that the chef came to our table twice to check in. We also had the BEST server for our table. She was very knowledgeable and took her time to make sure we were getting what we needed. I found out that she has been there since the opening of the restaurant. They are smart in keeping her... what a pro!
We will be back.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMgroup of 8 all had pasta dishes....group of 8 all had pasta dishes....everyone raved about the food3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOk but not impressedThe service was outstanding. The chef walked around and greeted everyone. My complaint is that the olives had way too much lemon zest on them. It overpowered the whole entire olive appetizer. I am a lemon lover and I had to eat a piece of parsley to clean my palate. We also had the mussel pasta dish. The mussels were cooked but they were unlike any other mussels I tried. They center was hard and chewy, think eating a piece of stringy fat. Overall my pasta dish was good and waiters excellent3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is awesome! We haveThe food is awesome! We have gone several times and it has always been amazing food!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe sausage and caramelizedThe sausage and caramelized onion pizza is awesome!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI love their lasagna! ItI love their lasagna! It is a wonderful Friday treat. The Brussels sprouts are sooooo good and I never eat Brussels sprouts. It was an overall excellent dining experience!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding dining in downtownOutstanding dining in downtown
Cincinnati! One of - if not the best spots in the city!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food I've tastedI had some of the best food I ever tasted. Caramelized brussels sprouts, potato puree, pizza, salad of the day were all amazing with interesting flavor and texture combinations. I can't wait to go back.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWow, talk about a restaurantWow, talk about a restaurant hitting its stride. Every time we go, it gets better. The food and the service are outstanding! Chef Christian is so visible and invested in making your meal into a great dining experience. He helps you pick out your wine and your dish if you ask him questions. He is very easy to engage and has a great deal of personality.
Reminds me of Behle Street in its heyday when Tommy would roam the restaurant and thank you for coming or also Grandview Tavern before all of the drama...3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved the restaurant..notI loved the restaurant..not the food. The arugula salad was disappointing in that is hard hard to eat and not much flavor and the muss els with marinara sauce was more like mussels in a bolognese sauce. Couldn't taste the mussels for the heavy sauce. I will go back and will order the caesar salad and a pizza. They both looked great!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNice location. We were seatedNice location. We were seated by the window so that we could do some people watching. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass, and the dessert Caramel Complexity.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was fantastic. WaiterFood was fantastic. Waiter was a little too much in our space----didn't need to be "bothered/interrupted" as much.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time for dinner andFirst time for dinner and this is just a special dining experience. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Our server, Max, was knowledgable, attentive and full of personality. Was nice to have Christian Pietro stop by several times to see how we were doing. A really wonderful experience.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food, GREAT service! We were a group of 9 celebrating a birthday. The service was beyond expectation: the server went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Two of our party did not like their dishes as they didn't have much flavor. The managment was eager to make ammends by offering another entree, but we had tickets to a show, so we didn't have time to wait. Everyone else thouroghly enjoyed their food (myself included!),so I would definitely reccommend it to others.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall experience was good.Overall experience was good. They should mix in some side dishes with the entrée. For the price you pay, you think you would get more food with it. You get more at Outback for less. I am all for a romantic setting, but you can get that at almost any place downtown and get more food. My filet was delicious, I just wish it had something else with it. Oh, and $9 for a salad? Really? I'm not cheap by any means, just ask your waitress. She was great and was tipped great, but you may want to re-evaluate your pricing. Probably won't be back.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff was very helpfulThe staff was very helpful and friendly. We had my 2 two year old grandsons with us and they took special care to see to all our needs.
thanks so much for a great evening!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
