"My husband and I had THE MOST FANTASTIC experience. Our servers, Ingrid and Julio, learned how much we loved the beignette dessert. Well, Julio volunteered to get us the recipe. My husband and I left, thinking that everyone was busy and we didn't want to tie up the table waiting for the recipe. Guess what - the next day we got a call at our hotel and they had delivered a package for us! At the front desk was a package from the Ritz Carlton (we were at the "W"), inside was a personally handwritten note APOLOGIZING to us that they didn't have the recipe ready for us when we left; included in the bag was the recipe AND THE INGREDIENTS!!!! I am amazed, moved, and now completely committed to this restaurant AND to the hotel chain that hired them"

"There is an outside seating area which overlooks the ocean but the evening I was there, it was too windy to sit outside comfortably. The inside dining area was beautiful, the service was impeccable and the food was mostly good. My boyfriend loved his steak but I wasn't crazy about the swordfish. I found it tough and salty. We both enjoyed the Nutella dessert, it was small and perfect finish to a meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Side note: Open Table indicates that valet is $5 with validation from the restaurant, but it's $7."

"Second time back in a week. Love the food. Horribly understaffed. The manager seem to have no idea that the servers were way overwhelmed. It took us 20 min to get a drink."

"Quite spot during a crazy week. Music at restaurant entrance was a nice touch. Food was great. Lamb Shanks, fresh seafood both notable. Dont sit by the door the servers use for the patio - VERY windy. Overall it was great - we have already been back."

"Disappointing.

The first time we ate here we had a decent experience, however this time was a game changer. They brought our salad and entree at the same time, before the appetizers. The cocktails were horrible, and the food wasn't as good as the last time we came, we were convinced the had a new chef. After all the times the messed up or order, we thought they'd at least offer a free dessert, but they didn't. The service was worse than TGIFriday's, not up to Ritz Carlton standards. They raised the price of the valet, making this restaurant on the D LIST."

"Ate here two nights. The first night the service was very good. The second night it was fair. The waiter rarely came around and the busboys as someone else pointed out in a review act as if they are afraid of the customers."

"We have eaten a number of times at Via Luna at The Ritz-Carlton, tonights meal was the best to date. The crab cake appetisers were fresh and full of crab meat, the entrees of scallops with risotto and slow braised lamb were very good. As you expect from Ritz-Carlton the service was very good. We sat outside and watched the world go by as we ate our dinner."

"Food was good but nothing special, especially for price. Waiter made a mistake with wine selection but made it seem as if we, rather than he, was mispronouncing name of wine which was reason for the mistake. In general, waiter treated us a bit disdainfully, as if we didn't have knowledge or taste to appreciate the restaurant."

"The food was very good, but not perfect in every way as I ahve coem to expect fom the Ritz. The risotto was very undercooked, indigestible, not al dente. The rib eye steaks were good, but overly fatty. Plus were we were seated was too dark to see if meat was cooked to order. The seafood was the best part of the main dishes. But even though the Scallops "rest" to get happy, they should come out hotter than lukewarm. Dessert was worth leaving room for. Better for a good night out than a very specical night if you will be anxious about everything being perfect. Mainly b/c you cannot count on them accomodating your dining requests. The waiter service (William) was so great we couldn't bear to complain to him. He is the only 5 star there."
