I had the Porcini Tortilleni in brown butter sage sauce, and it was excellent.....
Would definetly come back.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Very GoodReally interesting decor (sort of 'homey' - perhaps Italian countryside) -

Sat downHad 6pm reservation. Sat down with no wait and was greeted immediatly by a very friendly waitress. Had a great App and was enjoying the relatively quiet ambiance until we noticed that dinner was taking a long time to be served. After 50 minutes, the waitress appoligized and told us it would be out shortly. We were served dinner 60 minutes after getting our App! To their credit, the food was amazing...just wish we didn't have to wait so long. On a side note, the chairs are really hard...I know, sort of weird to complain about, but after waiting for so long, that's what we were thinking. Definitely will go back and give it another go simply due to the food being exceptional...just hope it comes out a bit sooner!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVia 45 was Excellent!Having read rave reviews about Via 45, I was anticipating a savory meal. The chefs did not disappoint! My husband loved the grilled romaine salad, his grouper dinner was delicious, and he enjoyed sorbet for dessert. I have food allergies so it is always a challenge to eat out. The staff was attentive to every need, making sure to note my allergies so the chef could be informed. I enjoyed an avocado salad, gluten free pasta with eggplant, and a special dessert. I will definitely return to enjoy dinner again at Via 45. The food and service are outstanding.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA little pricey, but excellentA little pricey, but excellent food and generous portions.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!7 of us dining. It was a Tuesday night, but made a reservation. We ordered Tom. mozz. artichoke appetizer along with the sausage and broccoli rabe. Very good, however, the size was very small and the price very big. We also ordered 3 caesar salads to share. The bread by the way with the infused olive oil is amazing, the waitress said its actually pizza dough. We ordered, 2 chick parm, 2 chick francaise, Steak, eggplant parm and shrimp/tilapia special. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent, our waitress Diane was amazing! For dessert we had 1 peanut butter choco ganache and 1 brownie. The total bill w/o gratuities was $283.00. I do think the prices are high, but the dinner experience was worth it. Will return and tell my friends.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Food & ServiceThe food and service were excellent and we look forward to returning!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMVery niceIt was the occasion of our anniversary and we wanted a special place to dine. Via45 is close by and is dependable for fine food and relaxed service. The staff was most accommodating to my bride's gluten free diet and very helpful. I was slightly disappointed when their entire meat portion of the menu was 3 chicken dishes. Other than that, it was a very nice evening. One thing, they have gotten quite popular, so reserve a couple of weeks ahead if you can.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around greatThe decor is great, the foot is fresh and incredible. Friday night May 6 at 6PM Service highly attentive. Menu varies..so you are always anticipating "what's cooking tonight". Limited (but in a very good way that they can concentrate on making it great) selection, but something for everyone. I reserved online and got a call back the day before dinner to confirm, and ASK IF I HAD ANY FOOD ALLERGIES SO THEY COULD PREPARE AHEAD FOR US!!!!!!! Have none -but amazed that they cared to adjust cooking to ANY NEEDS!. But, that is how these folks work. these gals are destined for a bigger venue. Have the ingredients of healthy seasonal flare, coupled with perfecting sauces, food quality, and value. BYOB. Really great night and VERY pleased..you will be too. Enjoy!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food, great peopleThe owners of the restaurant are also the chefs, and they use local ingredients in their made-to-order dishes.
It's the perfect date spot, or a great place to go out with friends. I'm not so sure how kid friendly it is, though it's not exactly kid un-friendly (we've brought our little ones there once or twice).
My wife & i get there about once or twice a month & have never been disappointed.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFRESH!If you do not appreciate the painstaking effort of assuring freshness...you should not be eating out! To be greeted (Table by Table) personally by the proprietor is a "A". I never ever eat pork outside of my wifes cooking (she was born in Cuba, enough said) I had the 14oz. Pork Chop, It was PERFECT especially after seeing this 1 1/2" chop itwas PERFECT!
My wife had the Skate fish that was the best seafood dish shes' had in awhile. With four adults plates being cleared to nothing left...Veggies, Deserts to ream about till my next visit!

Via 45 is our favorite restaurant in Red bank!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst and foremost the foodFirst and foremost the food was delicious. All four of us enjoyed the appetizers and meals.
Our only issue was the seating. Do not sit at the first table by the hostess stand. Every single person walking in goes by you and bumps the table; even the hostess and waitress had some trouble getting by. They should not have a table there; it was quite distracting and bothersome especially to my friend sitting in the aisle. We will be back, but won't be sitting there.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a lovely, leisurelyIt was a lovely, leisurely dinner, with good service and great food!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMVia 45 is our favorite restaurant.Via 45 is our favorite restaurant. We were disappointed to learn that the waiter who had taken care of us the last few times had left but our current waiter was an excellent replacement. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We will certainly return soon.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent! My favorite local restaurant, always delicious food in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA Diamond in a sea of restaurantsLiving in Red Bank, we have many excellent restaurants to go to and during our 2 years there, we have visited many, but NONE like Via 45. In a word it was OUTSTANDING ! The food was fresh, prepared to order, served with a smile and our overall experience on Easter Sunday was excellent. Coming for a family in the restaurant business my standards are high and I must say the restaurant exceeded my lofty expectations. I would recommend Via 45 without any hesitation or reservation and look forward to dining there again and again and again !!!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is great as is the service.Food is great as is the service. We ordered the Clams Bianca, Scallops 45 and Whole Grilled Bronzino and all were outstanding. This was our first visit to Via 45 can't wait to go back.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I had a concertMy husband and I had a concert at the count basie - made reservations at Via 45 - oh, my goodness it was outstanding - I ordered short rib ravioli with cream mushroom sauce, the best ravioli I have ever had - the olive oil dipping sauce was excellent - my husband ordered the tuna, it was a little over cooked for our taste, but that was probably due to fact we were not clear to the wait staff. I would go back again and again.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful diningWe had a wonderful dining experience, although there was some obvious tension amongst the staff as the hostess did not show up for work. Despite the slight tension, the food was delicious and the service was good. We will definitely be coming back again & again!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent! Excellent restaurant....highly recommend.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I have beenMy husband and I have been to Via 45 about six times now, and each visit was memorable. All the entree choices are wonderfully prepared, and the menu is handwritten and changes daily, depending on what is available at market each day. It is a BYO restaurant, and the ambiance is friendly and cozy. It's very eclectic in decor, and I feel like I'm dining in someone's home. Via 45 is chef-owned and operated, and the attention to detail is obvious in every dish they prepare. You won't be disappointed. We would highly recommend Via 45.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food - Rushed ServiceVia 45 has been my favorite restaurant in Red Bank since it opened. I have dined here countless times and have never had a bad experience. The food as well as the service has always been outstanding, until this last visit. The food is still outstanding, however, our server lacked training. She rushed us saying said that there were reservations after us so be ready to order by the next time she came back?? Seriously? We barely just sat down. Via 45 is known for it's cook to order meals. You have to plan to be there for several hours if you are ordering several courses. It's a slow & relaxing dining experience which is one of it's assets. Not so if with the server we had. The owners need to be mindful of their servers-it can be a detriment.2/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved our dinner at Via45!We loved our dinner at Via45! Our waitress was very nice and helpful. She explained that the menu changed everyday, but the chefs were willing to create whatever we wanted as long as they had the ingredients. She recommended the chicken parmesan, which was not on the menu (eggplant parmesan was and they had chicken), so I ordered that. It was so delicious! My husband had the pork chop which he enjoyed every last bite of. We split an artichoke appetizer and an apple tart for dessert - and everything was made with attention to detail - and you could taste it! The restaurant felt very homey and cozy, and we are looking forward to going back again soon!1/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Via 45. The ownersWe love Via 45.
