  • "good service. okay food...we got scallops & the filet but will try the pastas next time. most enjoyable was the piano player in the bar area. the bartender needed to be more attentive/personable. enjoyed the evening & planning on returning."

  • "We had a wonderful young attentive waiter named Vinny. The wine was delicious. The bread was tasty as it was sourced from a local European bakery. Best ciabatta in town though..... Greek Salad- Tasty Crab cake- Poor dish- burnt not much crab present Veal- Poor shoe leather cut with grain Ribeye- best dish of the night still average needed the sweet element from the Caramelized onion to cut the Gorgonzola. Lasagna- in edible over cooked pasta and red sauce was tasteless. Creme brûlée- fair Molten Chocolate Cake-fair "

  • "We had a great experience at Vesuvio Bistro. It was for a b-day, & our first time at Vesuvio's. The food was top notch, the best we've had in Little Rock. I ordered 2 Appletinis, 1 was made by the owner & the other by the bar attendant, you couldn't tell the difference! The wine selection is beyond great! I got the bacon wrapped pork w/ apples & it was fantastic. My fiance got the ribeye w/ gorgonzola, & it was to die for! Both entrees came w/ mixed veggies, which were great (usually veggies are a last minute thought, not here!) & cheese potatoes that were so good! I ate everything, which doesn't happen often. I will definitely be back, & will recommend this place to everyone I run into! I couldn't stop thinking about our meal the next day."

  • "Having been here many times, dating back to when Rosario was alive & I had a birthday celebration pat the restaurant, I return when I can. My friend & I went to high school together, and I was looking for a quiet place with excellent food, for us to spend her one evening together to catch up on the last 30 years of our lives. We were not disappointed, everything was perfect, thank you Santo!"

  • "Pleasant dining spot in west Little Rock. Certainly would return."

  • "I was not impressed with their pork loin or veal. Both meats were extremely tough and chewy. I was disappointed. What i enjoyed most was the wine and tiramisu. The service was okay."

  • "Again we were pleased at the fine service and excellent food at Vesuvio. It is in our top three of best places in Little Rock. One of the things that makes it such a great choice is the varied menu. There is something for everyone and it's fun to try something different each time we go. Excellent!"

  • "My wife's favorite restaurant in LR. Food was good."

  • "Vesuvio is an outstanding restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant. There was live piano music playing during our dining experience. The wait staff is very attentive without being intrusive. There is great attention to detail. I chose one of the daily specials, thinly sliced beef tenderloin over a delectable version of mashed potatoes with a side of sauteed zuchini. Presentation was lovely and the tenderloin perfectly cooked and seasoned. The other diners in my party were equally impressed with their selections, a wide variety of different pasta dishes. Pricing is very reasonable, our cost about $25 per plate. I would highly recommend this restaurant. In my opinion it is the best value for quality dining in Little Rock."

  • "Vesuvio's offers a wide assortment of entrees to please both simple and more complex appetites. From savory pasta dishes to hearty meat and seafood specialties, the results are always delicious... And don't forget to try the wonderful salads and delectable gelatos and sorbets!"

  • "Vesuvio Bistro is always great food and great service. The new location on Breckenridge affords an even more comfortable dining experience because the space allows for better conversation and, well, space. It will continue to be one of my favorites."

  • "We dined on Saturday, March 29, 2014. The food was very good, and our server was efficient and professional. This is now our favorite Italian Restaurant. I recommend the Eggplant. It was great."

  • "My wife and I have been dining at Vesuvio's for many years starting with their old location. They moved into new wonderful remodeled space (much larger) and still manage to put out great food every single time we visit. It truly is not only some of the best food in LR but it is as good as you will find in much larger cities. In comparison, St Louis, which prides itself on it's real Italian cuisine (and it is GOOD) is not better than Vesuvio's. We ate at an Italian restaurant in the Four Season's there and although the food was very good Vesuvio's has it beat. Great wait staff."

  • "We moved from Little Rock shortly before Vesuvio Bistro moved to the current location. We took our first return trip since July to rekindle our taste buds. Food is as great as ever. The new location is much larger but maintains the cozy feeling of the old location. Waiter was fantastic -- pleasant and great suggestions. It was a great place to visit with friends."

  • "I was very satisfied overall with the restraunt. Service was excellant and also the food. Had been looking for a Italian Restruant in the Little Rock Area. Found it this one is a GEM. Would highlyt recommend for all ages and occasions."

  • "We dined here all the time, however since the original owner passed away, the restaurant has gone down hill. The charming quaint intimate lounge like restaurant gone forever. The portions the flavors no longer are there. Not even the pasta named after the owner Rigatoni Roasario tastes good. The only thing that remains the same is the bread and olive tempenade and wine."

  • "We were looking for a new Italian Restaurant in Little Rock on the internet, and found that this place had been open for some time but we had never heard of it. Their new location doesn't even have a sign! We were so pleased to have a new place to go out to dinner that not only has great food, but a wait staff that truly gave us the feeling of being in a five star restaurant. It wasn't too crowded and everyone in the restaurant seemed to be having a great dining experience as well. We will definitely be back."

  • "I went to this restaurant with a small group from out of town. We had a very pleasant experience and the food was very good. Our waiter was very good at explaining the details of the dishes on the menu. I ordered one of the evenings specials, sea bass with mashed potatoes. It was delicious, although it wound up being $32 for the plate, far more than anything on the regular menu. One of the other diners had the same dish and enjoyed it as well. The other diners in my party had pasta, including one who ordered the house specialty, finished in a large wheel of parmesan cheese. Every one enjoyed their meal. I would recommend this on the ambiance, service and quality of food, but I'd caution to ask the price of the specials before ordering."

  • "Exceptional food and service as usual. Nick was our waiter, and he was superb. We enjoyed 2 different salad "daily specials" as well as a pasta dish and double cut pork "special of the day". I expect the pasta to be exceptional as this is an italian restaurant, but the pork chop was amazing as well...perfectly cooked and very tender. We will definitely be back!"

  • "I had the tuna, which I love. Unfortunately, it seemed to be rolled in sea salt, which made it way too salty to enjoy. Quite disappointing. The rest of our food was excellent. I was having a serious chocolate craving, so I was disappointed there was not chocolate crème brulet."

  • "First time here and the food was very good and the service was great. We talked with the owner and we could tell he took great pride in his establishment. We would definitely come back."

  • "Wonderful Date Night! The food and wine were fabulous. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and helped us select something perfect to go with our meal. He brought out a couple small samples to taste since we could not decide between two of the bottles. The piano player added a fun vibe as well. I love the new location!"

  • "A wonderful place for a romantic date night. Some of the best Italian food in Little Rock. A nice wine list and some great desserts!"

  • "A little pricey for Little Rock. Portions fairly small. Main entrees should include a cup of soup and salad that would make it more affordable. Excellent service. Good food and nice departure from typical Italian fare. Quiet/elegant dining experience."

  • "For a sure thing, Vesuvio's the bet. This week we encountered the best service /best server anywhere, ever. Well done, Vesuvio!"

  • "Took my date to Valentine's day dinner (so I can't comment on regular menu). The restaurant handled this busy night with aplomb, tables were arranged to provide maximum seating but not too close for comfort. Food was most excellent, and wait staff was the most attentive and responsive I've encountered in a great while. My date and I were able to converse without a problem, with table noise and the live piano as comfortable background noise. Try to score a table in the center of the restaurant, where the kitchen and piano are in view."

  • "My fiancee and I went for a late-Valentine's Day dinner and had an absolute wonderful time. The ambience is top-notch, the wine list is impressive, and the food is incredible. We had one of the salad specials with goat cheese, pecans, and pear slices, and it was quite possibly the best salad I've ever enjoyed. The entrees were incredible as well. Everything was cooked and presented with loving care."

  • "Went there for the day after Valentine's day with my sweetie, it was my second trip there. The service is excellent, relaxed but extremely knowledgeable. All the staff have an eye for detail, including a fellah who saw an additional plate on our table, swooped in and quietly apologized, and removed it with a minimum of intrusion. We hadn't even noticed the plate... The salads are delightful, and the antipasti offered are always amazing. (Note: the gorgonzola and the asiago are INCREDIBLE.) She had the pasta, delish, and I had the osso bucco (braised lamb shank). It fell off the bone, so tender. This is one of my all-time favorite places, definitely something for the special occasion. Once in a while, ya just gotta treat yourself!"

  • "Overall experience was good though we enjoyed previous visits more because of more of a food selection> I knew it was a fixed menu for Valentine's day but the food wasn't AS good as our prior visits. Lobster lasagna a little dry. Asked for bread and it wasn't toasted, warmed, etc so it was very bland and dry. All of that being said, we'd give it another try since previous times were great!"

  • "Totally pleasant experience. Food was outstandingly well prepared and conceived, served expertly and pleasantly, and the ambiance was excellent. Highly recommend this place for all occasions."

  • "This was my first time dinning here and I LOVED it. I do not live in Little Rock but I travel here frequently. I now know where I will be eating next time I am in the area. I took my girlfriend here and she loved it as well. They had a special menu for Valentines Day which was unfortunate because I was looking forward to trying items from their full menu. Nevertheless, the options that they had were lovely. It was a four course romantic meal for two. The live piano music made the dinning experience that much better. I cannot wait until I come back."
