Diner Reviews
  • "Shrimp ravioli was incredible!! My husband's dirty martini was bland but I loved my preseco drink. His filet with foie gras was really good too. Loved the bread and different spreads!"

  • "From the warm welcome, cozy athmosphere to the sublime execution of all dishes our party of four ordered, it was all impeccable, memorable, delectable! If you haven't yet been it is a must in Montreal. If you have, then as per these posts I'm sure you've become a regular as we will be... Merci Thierry & Fadia for a meal which we are still talking about... La cuisne de Thierry est est exécutée avec discipline, finesse mais surtout avec une attention sans prétention. L'accueil de Fadia est chaleureux et amical. Les deux font de ce restaurant un vrai bijoux auquel on a déjà hâte de retourner. hmmmmm arrancini à la pâte de truffe, tartellette aux champigons, viandes assaisonnées et cuites à la perfection, frites maisons et bien plus encore :-)"

  • "Not a foodie place. Felt like Westwood back in time ten years. Dated food and presentation"

  • "I had received great customer service from Fadia, very smiley and accomodated my sitting requirements. Thank you!"

  • "In one word : excellent! The quality of the food here is absolutely outstanding. Loved the shrimp appetizer and the chicken in the coq au vin was so tender it practically fell apart. Highly recommend."

  • "The food was really good, unfortunately the service is not what you expect for such a fancy place. Instead of asking for our coats the waitress/hostess scolded us for trying to put them away on a hanger, when we wanted to order she would not take our entrees first and then the main courses, she said she would do it all at once (I'm sorry but as a customer I order what I want and when I want, not at the waitress' convenience). When compared with other restaurants in Montreal, the place is average. For what we paid I would have expected a much better service."

  • "It was worth the wait to get into this restaurant. I ordered the Land Menu, which was delicious, and I don't consider myself a "meat" person; I usually order fish when I go out to dinner. The beef carpaccio was lovely! As was the veal chop...wow! Service was great, as well. No complaints about anything. We look forward to going back in the future, and trying all their other dishes!"

  • "We went to Vertige during the Plateau restaurant week. They offered a special 3 course menu that was delicious. We will definitely go back. Vertige is on a street with many restaurants, some of which are pretty bad (and over-priced). If you find yourself in this neighborhood Vertige is my recommendation!"

  • "Nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La nourriture, le service , le décor. Le foie gras au torchon était excellent ainsi que le plat de morue. Carte des vins très abordable. Nous y retournerons."

  • "We never had tapas before. It was a great dining experience for us. The hostess and owner were great and met our needs before we even knew we needed anything. Great service and wonderful food. Thank you!!"

  • "The whole experience was perfect! We tried the Menu Decouverte de la Mer, Great decor, great food and very good service. I will go again for sure!"

  • "One of the best meals I have ever eaten in my life."

  • "Not much else to say. The food was very good. Some may say it is a bit noisy but excellent for a dinner with friends!"
    Dined on 10/18/2013
  • "Service is mediocre, as is the food. Ordered their "house specialty" sweetbread and it was way overcooked (rough lumps of sweetbread, not remotely creamy). The noise level is a bit loud, so not great if you are trying to be romatic or have a conversation. The staff seemed to be spread too thin, so it was unattentive and lacklustering. There are better options in Montreal than this."

  • "We hadn't been to Vertige for a long time and now we are kicking ourselves. Great food and service! The lobster rice balls are to die for. We'll be back"
