  • "I took my relatives here to showcase the city's fantastic French cuisine. The setting of the dining room is very typical Old Montreal with exposed stone walls but contemporary furniture. The wine list is extensive but not overwhelming with a good price range. Our server was knowledgeable and made a great recommendation for our table. The food may have been a little too sophisticated for one of my guests but it was enjoyed. This is a great place to try something different and adventurous in French cuisine. Wonderful staff and setting made the experience a lovely one for my tourists."

  • "Our group of 7 arrived a few minutes before our reservation. We waited as our table was prepared. We started the evening with some great drinks. The espresso martini, apple martini and Belvedere Mule were all excellent. Dinner was delectable. From trout gravlax, salmon tataki, magret de canard and the evening's piece de resistance: chocolate braised veal cheeks, every dish was prepared with care and beautifully presented. For wines, we ordered both red and white. Carnivor, the red, was a big hit. For white, we ordered a Chablis from the wine list, based on our waiter's recommendation. It was a perfect choice for the fish dishes. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. All in all, a great dining experience. We will be back. Merci :)"

  • "We went to the New Year's Eve 6 course prix fixe dinner at 6 pm. It was well worth the walk in Arctic cold weather through snow and ice and -40 C wind chill to have dinner. The food was amazing and the service excellent. We also had the wine pairing with the food, and all of the choices were superb. My wife and I do not normally take pictures of our food, but it was plated so well and was lovely to look at as well as eat, we wanted to remember how it looked. Next time we are in Montreal, we plan on returning!"

We tried the Verse for the 'Taste Montreal' week - with a prix fixe of $39 for three courses, It was the the perfect way to indulge our sophisticated palate without spending a fortune. Everything was Excellent! The decor was beautiful. Service was really good, the food was delicious. They even have a list of wine at $40 which is good for a family man on a budget."

Dessert looked like a fun house and flavors didn't work together. Service is very nice and strives to make guests comfortable. Would rather have a much simpler, less muddled menu that does true justice to local ingredients. The room is incredibly cozy and comfortable. I just wish the menu was more substance and less show off."

The crowning achievement of the night however was a dessert dubbed "Summer Camp" that included three delicacies - a mini creamsicle, a tiny ice cream sandwich and a s'more.
