After seeing Wicked in the theatre, I took my gran and mom to Cero, close to home, to rejoice in the experience! Have been to Vero a few times, enjoyed it! This time we had a great night, the staff is 5 star. My mom ordered the trout special, but they said that it wasn't available so it would be sea bass instead, which mum said fine- but only after thinking about it, do we realize that she got trout hidden under potatoes- which was strange in itself. Gran and I had linguini de mare, very good, new bowls perhaps, seemed like a small portion for $19, and the trout was more than that, and to my mind too $. Other than that, I love Vero, would frequent many times again, love the staff and food is good, just small for the price!

Was once a favorite neighborhood spot for us, but it has clearly gone downhill. Mushroom salad was tasteless and lacking in any mushrooms. The waiter forgot to submit the order for my main course, which cam quickly afterwards but seemed to be thrown together. It's really too bad because it's a great spot.

I dine frequently at this restaurant and was surprised at the quality of my meal during my last visit. The veal was tough and the pasta was not cooked properly and stuck together. My recommendation is 'Never on a Sunday'.

Service: A vegetarian in our party ordered a dish after checking 3 times that it did not contain was no meat. On his first mouthful he bit into a piece of meat! This is totally unacceptable to a vegetarian. One would expect an apology from the manager. When a bad mistake has been made the manager usually offers compensation - often restaurants will give free desserts. We received nothing - NO compensation, and NO apology! They simply did not care! This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Food: Mushroom salad with parmesan had 2 measly little strips of Parmesan! Salad that was described as having figs contained ½ a fig - a tiny piece. Are they too cheap to include the ingredients described? The penne pasta was mediocre.

Found the service to be friendly and attentive. The restaurant is quite pretty and well set up and is in a great location. We went early as we were going to a movie afterwards, therefore, the restaurant was quiet and very enjoyable.

Went to Vero for Mother's Day. To keep it short and sweet 1) the person who greeted us was rude and told us we were late for our reservation even when we were on time (may have been a glitch in the system); 2) they provided a time limit for eating even though the person who confirmed on the telephone did not bring this up (later reversed); 3) we were seated in the very back corner by the kitchen when the restaurant was practically empty; 4) we were informed after sitting that the credit card machine was down; 5) the apology for 1-4 above was one glass of wine for a party of 6; 6) waiter forgot to bring said complimentary wine until he was prompted. The food was decent but after the series of misfortunate events, I will not be back.

I picked Vero, after a friend introduced me to it. The first time I ate here, it was on a Weekday with 3 other friends. The waiter was very attentive and the food was excellent. This time I came with one other friend only and on a Sunday. The service was ok, but not as attentive, the waiter that started to serve us, went home halfway thru our dinner. The specials my friend and I picked were very good, especially the celery and leek soup. Overall the dinner experience was good, but not superlative, like the first time!

Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was great! Ran out of the Amarone we were drinking but offered another equally good selection at same price. Busy with local community business - seemed like a hangout place on a Saturday night for locals. Noise level high when full.

My mother in her nineties always enjoys going somewhere different. But she is very fussy. Since we had never been to this restaurant before thought we would take her and give it a try. She is particularly hard to please. But we ending up having a nice table as restaurant not too large and some tables by the front door will experience a cold draft in winter as it was a exceptionally cold the night when we went. The food was well presented, and as a whole tasty and good. Service was good but not excellent, and although no table clothes my mother was happy which is a hard thing to achieve. So I would rate the evening a success.

We went there for father's day lunch. The service is exceptional. I especially like that fact that price on the menu is lower when compared with other restaurants of the same class. Food portion is very reasonable - that is - not too big. We ordered frittata, panini, and pasta. They all tastes very good! Some pasta are freshly made too.

Maybe it was mother's day and they were very busy, overall service was VERY slow. We had to wait for at least 30 mins for our dish to come out. Food was flavourless. When we asked for coffee refill, the server gave us the look and then ignored us just because they were out of coffee. He did not have the intention on brewing a new pot. I would not go back.

This is one of the few restaurants along Bayview worth patronizing. I dined here twice last week. The first time both my guest and I ordered the fish special which was a sea bass with risotto. It was absolutely outstanding! The second evening my guests enjoyed their salad (arugula with mushrooms) and mains: papardelle bolognese and a seafood pasta. I had the bison special - not as flavourful as I might have expected - and the vegetables were sparse and overcooked. Verro's complimentary bread and olives are always tasty, although the night I had the sea bass, the bread was burnt. The space is small and often feels crowded - noise level is high. Just the same, we keep returning. My adult son loves all of their pizzas.

The food tasted very good and the service was very attentive, although at the beginning of the evening they seemed to serve with a sense of being "rushed". The restaurant was quite busy but there were empty tables. The lamb I ordered was a bit greasy with too much of the "jus" surrounding the plate of vegetables so they were rather unappealing as they cooled down. The other dinner ordered was reported as very good.

Overall, we had a below par experience. First of all, we were not greeted warmly when we entered the restaurant. The service only continued to suffer throughout the night. The restaurant was listed under vegetarian/vegan section on OpenTable, yet there were almost no vegetarian/vegan choices on their menu. They offered to accommodate, but they seemed most unwilling to. The ambiance was excellent, however, my guest and I felt very uncomfortable due to the service, or the lack thereof. We ended up finishing our meals as soon as we could so that we could leave quickly. We could not enjoy the atmosphere that the restaurant had to offer. Bottom line: Would not recommend this restaurant due to the horrible service.

Service was exceptional. Great touch to let us do a tasting of the house wines to choose which one to drink by the glass. The egggplant parmesan was the perfect texture and flavour which is very hard to achieve in such a busy hotspot. Main course portions of seafood pasta and veal were generous and excellent.Living in Toronto there is so much choice but Vero should not be missed and will become a regular go to.

We had a wonderful experience at a reasonable price. Our server had a very good knowledge of the menu, the food and drinks (especially the pizza), had a very good taste, and because I booked through OpenTable, I got an interview with the manager. He asked me about the OpenTable system, and if I like it and they should keep it; I said yes. The pizza had a very good taste, and it was all at a reasonable price. This restaurant is a must try for all you people who like Italian food.
