  • "My husband and I are parents of six with a passion for food, and an oppurtunity to have a night to ourselves. Your Chef prepared a beautiful six course meal paired perfectly with white and red wines as if he knew us personally! The waitress was very prompt and a had knowledge of everything she placed on the table. Last but by far not the least the desert course had four breath taking deserts which truly no words can describe. Thankyou! We look forward to returning for our next date night!"

  • "We went there with family for lunch and really enjoyed their menu. The Rubben is huge, the sirloin were excellent, but the best is their fries and sweet potatoes fries, a must-have."

  • "The omakase was again outstanding. The sauces did not overpower the primary food - they enhanced it. We especially enjoyed the sea bass. Finishing with three delectable desserts, coffee and kahlua ended the evening perfectly. Good company, outstanding service ( thanks Sam ), and pleasant atmosphere were the icing on the cake."

  • "The menu doesn't change often, so I have dined my way through most of the items. Most are excellent, all are at least very good. If you are new to Veritas, the servers are knowledgeable and will point you to some of the most popular items. Even if you are in a college town far from major urban areas, don't shy away from the seafood. It is fresh and sophisticated as any you will in the fusion genre. It is also great to see the entrepreneur, Chef Tai, in the kitchen and out amongst the patrons. Foodies should sit at the chef's table which is really a counter with a great kitchen view. There you will learn that every member of the prep crew has been with the establishment since day one. That might be the best recommendation of all."

  • "My boyfriend (a total foody) has idolized Chef Tais food since he was in the food truck on A&Ms campus. We went to Vertias on Monday for his 21st birthday and each ordered the 6 course meal. It was phenominal. No words. He and I were in hog heaven and love everything about this place!!"

  • "This was the first time in more than 3 years I've gone to Veritas. Main reason is I no longer live in College Station. I took my wife to Veritas for her birthday and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great."

  • "Food was delicious! Problem with flies (2) near the window seat. Gnat ended up in my wine. Yes, we were sitting inside."

  • "Seated promptly with an 8:30 reservation. Courses were timed appropriately and the service was not overbearing but sufficient. An overall pleasant and memorable dining experience."

  • "I've been to Veritas several times, and went back to one of my standby's, the steak sushi roll, with succulent steak wrapped in steamed rice with a tender chunk of asparagus in the middle. The teriyaki drizzle and soy fusion to dip in was as good as always. Will be back again and again!"

  • "We took my mother here for a belated mother's day dinner & the food & service were outstanding. We ordered the bacon jerky to start, which was perfectly sweet & savory then we each got a different entree, all delicious. The service was impeccable, the right amount of assistance without being overbearing. Great job & we'll definitely be back."

  • "I decided to take my husband to Veritas for our fifth anniversary. Veritas is the perfect spot for a romantic lunch or dinner. The lighting is not too bright, the tables are spaced nicely apart, and it was fairly quiet. I ordered the lunch trio (salad, salad, and steak) and my husband ordered the Ruben. The salad was served on the same plate at the steak, which I didn't care for, I really wish the salad would have been first, but it was okay. I also wish that the soup would have come in a larger container, but that is because it was incredibly creamy and delicious. My steak was a bit over-cooked, but they made up for it by bringing me a new steak. We will definitely be back! (Would say more but I've run out of characters)"

  • "Wonderful evening with friends in a fantastic atmosphere, featuring great food & service. Since Veritas opened in College Station years ago, I've never been disappointed, frequently surprised by their creative offerings. The staff has seen some turnover, as you'd expect in a college environment, but has maintained a quality in service & professionalism that equals the other fine restaurants in the area."

  • "We wanted something a little more special for an anniversary dinner than our standard restaurant fare and found it in spades at Veritas. The wait staff was excellent, the food was sublime, the atmosphere was intimate yet comfortable, and the experience was well worth the price. We ordered the four-course meal, selecting based on our preferences and recommendations by our server. Each course was expertly prepared and plated. The food was visually appealing as well as delectable. Every moment was a great memory. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Overall one of the best experiences for Valentine's Day. Everyone on staff was masterful in their given position. We will be dining here more often. The only thing that was unfortunate was they were sold out of our dessert choice. The dessert that we fell back on was absolutely fantastic! Worth every moment."

  • "I'm not the type of person who has ever spent three figures in a restaurant, but I wanted to do something really special for my 5th anniversary with my girlfriend. Veritas wasn't my first choice, but it was still accepting reservations the day before. Neither my girlfriend nor I drink wine, so I can't speak to that quality, but the food was amazing. We got the crunchy signature roll for an appetizer, as it had the only seafood we like, and everything was combined perfectly. She ordered the filet mignon while I tried the Wagyu steak, as it's not something I have the chance to eat very often, and neither of us have had a better steak. They were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Veritas met and easily exceeded my high expectations."

  • "For a nice place, I was a bit disappointed. Made a reservation a week ahead, arrived when the restaurant was nearly empty and they sat us over a cold air duct - so had to ask to move. we had two different menues, and it turned out my first choice was on LAST week's menu, so wasn't available. What we had was fine, but for my special birthday dinner, I was hoping for a really nice evening out and was a little disappointed."

  • "I love to eat and drink wine. I don't, however, like to spend a great deal of money if it's not worth it. This is. While I wouldn't eat here on a monthly basis, this is my go to choice for a nice dinner out with an intimate group. Or I wouldn't mind sitting at their bar enjoying a bottle of wine with my husband."

  • "Veritas serves well cooked food...that's REAL food! Honest ingredients, attractive presentation, sensible portion sizes. The flavours of ingredients speak for themselves. Sauces are refined. Such a treat to find food that is not covered in salt or cheese or something from a shaker! The menu is varied and interesting. Waiting staff are reserved and pleasant. And if there was background music, we couldn't hear it, thank goodness. Just the hum of conversation in the room. We started with calamari as an appetiser. I had a interesting salad of mixed beets and leaves. My lamb was tender and pink and served on a bed of sauteed sprouts and fennel with a rosemary reduction. I finished with pistachio ice cream. All delicious!"

  • "Despite reservations we sat at our table for over 15 minutes before a server came, only after we asked about the delay. It was not terribly busy and the apologetic server said there was a "mix up". Afterwards all was good with excellent drinks and cuisine."

  • "Excellent all the way around! Service, detail, lick your plate food, wine knowledge = all outstanding! Recommend the mushroom filet or the sea bass for main. Calamari with sweet Thai sauce is a great opening"

  • "Our group of 7 had lunch at Veritas the other day. We made reservations (and added another person at the last minute) and our table was set up and ready for us when we arrived. The wait person was attentive but not hovering. The bread and dipping sauce that was brought to the table while we waited for our food was delicious. There were enough choices on the lunch menu to satisfy all in the group. I had the 1/2 sandwich with soup and salad. It was all delicious and just the right amount for lunch (unless you are very hungry). Two had the grilled fish option and said it was very good (it looked good). Two had the Sloppy Jose and also said it was very good (large portion). Two had the burger and were also very satisfied - very large burger."

  • "Loved the food. The red bell pepper soup was to die for! Unique. Someone in our group had the $45 burger that was unbelievable. I had the red fish - delicious. We shared a dessert because we were too full to eat a whole one. We had creme brulee and it was fabulous. The waiter was wonderful and accommodating. It wasn't noisy, so we could actually talk to one another across the table (party of 6)."
