  • "Great food and ambience with enjoyable live music in background. A great place to go and have a great meal and wine, and relax with friends for a very enjoyable evening."

  • "A little slow to start along with service but well worth it when it came out. Appetizers, entrees, and dessert were divine."

  • "Wonderful evening with friends in a fantastic atmosphere, featuring great food & service. Since Veritas opened in College Station years ago, I've never been disappointed, frequently surprised by their creative offerings. The staff has seen some turnover, as you'd expect in a college environment, but has maintained a quality in service & professionalism that equals the other fine restaurants in the area."

  • "We wanted something a little more special for an anniversary dinner than our standard restaurant fare and found it in spades at Veritas. The wait staff was excellent, the food was sublime, the atmosphere was intimate yet comfortable, and the experience was well worth the price. We ordered the four-course meal, selecting based on our preferences and recommendations by our server. Each course was expertly prepared and plated. The food was visually appealing as well as delectable. Every moment was a great memory. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Overall one of the best experiences for Valentine's Day. Everyone on staff was masterful in their given position. We will be dining here more often. The only thing that was unfortunate was they were sold out of our dessert choice. The dessert that we fell back on was absolutely fantastic! Worth every moment."

  • "Our experience was fantastic! Justin was our waiter and he did a great job. The food was unbelievable and the romantic vibe was even better than I could have wished for. 10/10 would recommend :)"

  • "Food was well below average, and extremely overpriced."

  • "I'm not the type of person who has ever spent three figures in a restaurant, but I wanted to do something really special for my 5th anniversary with my girlfriend. Veritas wasn't my first choice, but it was still accepting reservations the day before. Neither my girlfriend nor I drink wine, so I can't speak to that quality, but the food was amazing. We got the crunchy signature roll for an appetizer, as it had the only seafood we like, and everything was combined perfectly. She ordered the filet mignon while I tried the Wagyu steak, as it's not something I have the chance to eat very often, and neither of us have had a better steak. They were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Veritas met and easily exceeded my high expectations."

  • "For a nice place, I was a bit disappointed. Made a reservation a week ahead, arrived when the restaurant was nearly empty and they sat us over a cold air duct - so had to ask to move. we had two different menues, and it turned out my first choice was on LAST week's menu, so wasn't available. What we had was fine, but for my special birthday dinner, I was hoping for a really nice evening out and was a little disappointed."

  • "I love to eat and drink wine. I don't, however, like to spend a great deal of money if it's not worth it. This is. While I wouldn't eat here on a monthly basis, this is my go to choice for a nice dinner out with an intimate group. Or I wouldn't mind sitting at their bar enjoying a bottle of wine with my husband."

  • "Veritas serves well cooked food...that's REAL food! Honest ingredients, attractive presentation, sensible portion sizes. The flavours of ingredients speak for themselves. Sauces are refined. Such a treat to find food that is not covered in salt or cheese or something from a shaker! The menu is varied and interesting. Waiting staff are reserved and pleasant. And if there was background music, we couldn't hear it, thank goodness. Just the hum of conversation in the room. We started with calamari as an appetiser. I had a interesting salad of mixed beets and leaves. My lamb was tender and pink and served on a bed of sauteed sprouts and fennel with a rosemary reduction. I finished with pistachio ice cream. All delicious!"

  • "My wife and I along with great friends visiting from North Carolina enjoyed good wine and a great dinner at Veritas. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating and allowed us to enjoy the evening together."

  • "Despite reservations we sat at our table for over 15 minutes before a server came, only after we asked about the delay. It was not terribly busy and the apologetic server said there was a "mix up". Afterwards all was good with excellent drinks and cuisine."
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "Excellent all the way around! Service, detail, lick your plate food, wine knowledge = all outstanding! Recommend the mushroom filet or the sea bass for main. Calamari with sweet Thai sauce is a great opening"

  • "We ate at Veritas Wine and Bistro for a birthday luncheon. Each meal was artistically presented, the portions were quite large and everyone enjoyed their selection. We will definitely return for future lunches and/or dinners."

  • "Our group of 7 had lunch at Veritas the other day. We made reservations (and added another person at the last minute) and our table was set up and ready for us when we arrived. The wait person was attentive but not hovering. The bread and dipping sauce that was brought to the table while we waited for our food was delicious. There were enough choices on the lunch menu to satisfy all in the group. I had the 1/2 sandwich with soup and salad. It was all delicious and just the right amount for lunch (unless you are very hungry). Two had the grilled fish option and said it was very good (it looked good). Two had the Sloppy Jose and also said it was very good (large portion). Two had the burger and were also very satisfied - very large burger."

  • "Loved the food. The red bell pepper soup was to die for! Unique. Someone in our group had the $45 burger that was unbelievable. I had the red fish - delicious. We shared a dessert because we were too full to eat a whole one. We had creme brulee and it was fabulous. The waiter was wonderful and accommodating. It wasn't noisy, so we could actually talk to one another across the table (party of 6)."

No special occassion just need some one on one time with my husband to get the romance back. We have been having relationship problems and trying to get the love back. We had the best time talked, listened to eachother, laughed and got the romance back that night. We will deff be beack! Oh yes the food was amazing and the live music which we LOVED!! Thanks so much agian"

  • "Stephanie did a great job taking care of us. The fish was excellent, cooked just so. We tried the new dessert, "the fifth", and it was outstanding. The espresso was a bit weak, we prefer it more in line with European standards, but it was still good."

  • "We discovered this fabulous restaurant about five years ago through a friend. It is our favorite in College Station and we make sure to eat there at least once every game weekend and any other time we visit."

  • "Loved everything about our dining experience---again. Not sure why this isn't the top rated resto in C-Stat,but if one if making that call based on the quality of the meal, this is your place."

  • "Started with a great salad and moved on to Asian Carpaccio. Never had it before and I know I will never find that combination of flavor again. Thinly sliced meat and I wanted to slurp up the juice that remained on the plate. The sea bass was amazing! The flavor danced around my tastebuds and all I could do was appreciate the magic. Dessert was a combination of items, my favorite being the spicy peanutbutter cup. We made our reservation for 6:30 and the place was empty, but by the time our salad came the restaurant was filling up."

  • "We treated 4 A&M students to dinner at Veritas and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the wine. The service was superb; our every need was met. The food was beautifully presented and many of the dishes were excellent. Menu has something for everyone and the steaks and duck were very well prepared. Very good wine menu - only one choice of Reisling but it was German and excellent!! Overall experience was very good."

  • "Not only is Chef Tai the Food Network recent winner of the best food truck in the U.S. But he owns the best restaurant in College Station, Texas. Sort of Asian-French fusion, his spicy tuna sushi is fantastic. We often order his sea bass dinner- always beautifully prepared with a miso i think. Both his beet and strawberry salads are favorites. He also has great beef. We also recommend his lunch plates with soup, sandwich and salad sampler. Each sandwich is unique And delicious. Nice wines too! We often come for lunch and order his plates of soup sample, half sandwich, half salad"

  • "Nice treat for your college student. Nice wine list, good food. Main room is preferable. Back room feels like just that, a back room"

  • "We dined with you on Friday night and I really enjoyed the Sea Bass. My husband said the steak was ok but not great. I think the price of our sweet potato fries are outrageous. $7 for fries and there is only enough for maybe two diners. The service was marginal. It did not seem that busy but it took our server forever to bring us drink refills and when it came time for our check it took him 15 minutes to bring it back. When it was brought back it was wrong. He knew what his tip was since we had 7 at our table. I think this was the problem. We will not be returning for dinner. Lunch is a much different experience and a better menu. Prices at dinner are a little high for what you get with your meals."

  • "What a great place to relax... Quiet but lively atmosphere. Great wine selection to chose from. For Fresh oysters and shashimi there is no place I would rather enjoy an evening."

  • "This menu both food and wine was such a surprise!! I had the Wagyu my dad had the Monk Fish, both were phenomenal! Wine list is extensive with a knowledgeable staff!! Our server was very kind and helpful! It was a warm evening so the keep the front covered and closed to block the sun, so it is a little deceiving when you approach the restaurant. But once inside the vibe was fun and inviting! We were in town for the TAMU/ Alabama game and everyone was hospitable and welcoming!"
