Diner Reviews
  • "The view sells this place. The food was ok...not bad...not great...good enough to recommend just bc the view is that special. A group of us went for brunch and I ordered the spinach omlete. It was lots of imitation egg with little filler. The side salad and potato was more enjoyable. The crab ceviche was pretty good."

  • "We were apprehensive when we arrived and there was pandamonium at the hostess desk and were told to step aside until our appointed time, 10 minutes hence. When we returned at the correct time we waited another 10 minutes in the crowd and were finally shown to a noisy table in the center of the room. After that it was completely wonderful in every way and the bad part disappeared. They really saved the day and it was the best experience in a long time!"

  • "When visiting the PAMM dining at Verde is a must! I especially enjoyed the crab ceviche appetizer and the guava margarita!"

  • "If you are a PAMM member, they offer a member discount. Very convenient place to eat on nights when PAMM is open late. Unfortunately only open during same hours that PAMM is open. On most days that means it closes at 5 PM."

  • "Simple but satisfying menu, portions on the small side, tasty, nice presentation. Hip elegant style- hard surfaces make it a little noisy. A wonderful accompaniment to a new bold museum experience. Wait staff attentive. In good weather would be a delight outdoors."

  • "Fantastic food, great service but the atmosphere was not elegant., felt like a food court."

  • "A nice restaurant and good food but why are the outside tables so limited when the terrace is so large. We were denied outside seating even though tables remained empty. Dining or drinks outside are a major attraction for this restaurant and the Museum should take full advantage to promote this opportunity"

  • "What an unexpected treat! My husband and Inwent on the third Thursday of the month since we heard they have live music or a DJ outside. The food was great we had the Beef Carpaccio, Ceviche and the Citrus Sashimi to start all were amazing! I had the Burger and my husband has the Filet both were on point. The service was perfect our waiter Nico was excellent! Once we went outside the ambiance was great they have beer and wine specials a drink of the day along with music and a stellar view of ocean and downtown Miami. I highly recommend you make a date night out of it was fantastic!"

  • "My first time to the new museum was terrific. Easy to find, used valet parking which was great as my friend has problems walking. I had made a lunch reservation which was a good thing as the restaurant was super busy. The food was good, service by our waiter was fast and very friendly. Had a guava margarita which was delicious, the crab ceviche which was terrific but small, then the cheeseburger with fries, good but overwhelming, the portion of fries could have fed 3 people easily. So, small appetizer, huge fries, but all good. We were so stuffed we skipped desert inside, but after touring the museum, got espresso and a lemon tart (very good) and ate that outside by the wate"

  • "The new art museum is truly complemented by this lovely, if busy dining spot, We especially liked the ceviche AND the donuts for dessert. We are transplanted Philadelphians and were delighted to find a Stephen Starr restaurant right here!"

  • "We have eaten three times at Verde. Each time the food is quite good. The major draw back is the beyond slow, inattentive service. Our server arrived about ten minutes after we sat down, saying she would be back with water. Fifteen minutes later, she returned without the water. it took another thirty minutes to receive our drinks and another 45 to get our first course. One of the four dinners arrived incorrectly, but no one asked how the food was. As our dinner plates were being cleared, our bread arrived. The wrong dessert came to our table...twice. There is either not enough help or they are not well trained or the kitchen is in some mind of disarray. Once Verde fixes this it will be a lovely place to dine."

  • "I highly recommend Verde. The food is delicious, the scenery is very nice, and the service is excellent. What a pleasure to leave the ice-box that the museum is (the temperature of the AC is insanely low, a disaster for the environment and a terrible inconvenience for the visitors) to have an outdoor lunch in a viable temperature. The inside part of the restaurant is of course way too cold. The chicken under a brick is outstanding!"

  • "Five of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the museum followed by dinner at their restaurant. Both inside and outside dining areas were well done, and fortunately the outside option is available even in inclement weather due to sufficient covering and space heaters. The zucchini pizza was light and flavorful and both the cheeseburgers and chicken were good choices. Although the menu was small there should be something to appeal to everyone"

  • "The new Perez Art Museum in downtown Miami is a MUST SEE! First class venue with gorgeous views of Biscayne Bay. It is extra special to find Verde, located inside the museum, is first class restaurant as well. I met friends for a birthday lunch and tour of the museum. Verde honored our reservation on time (although the place gets crowded). The food was excellent and fairly priced. Delicious beef carpaccio, chopped salad and grilled chicken club sandwiches were enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend Verde. Right now, they are only open Thursday nights for dinner (same night as the Museum)."

  • "Feels like a work in progress, like the museum. Very limited, basic menu and uninspired decor...very casual, a step or two above an upscale cafeteria or diner. Where's the relationship to Miami's exciting Latin vibe and varied cuisine? Feels like I could be having the pizza, salad or burgers anywhere...except for the great waterfront location and interesting architecture. Convenient for lunch if you're visiting the museum or in the downtown area but not worth a special trip for the food."

  • "Excellent. The food was amazing, from the appetizer, to the dessert, even down to the coffee and drinks. Must have the passionfruit caipirinha. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger, best cheeseburger I ever had. My husband and I shared the snapper, delightful. We had a crab ceviche appetizer which was to die for and the piece de la resistence was the sugar doughnuts with caramel sauce. Hard to resist licking your fingers on this one. Must be beautiful to dine here on Thursday nights for dinner when the museum is open late. Will definitely go again."

  • "It is not often you find a great little restaurant in a museum, I would make a special trip to downtown Miami just to eat here. I wish you were open for dinner more than once a week. The poached shrimp salad was fantastic. The turkey on brioche excellent. For dessert the chocolate pudding with vanilla custard and crunchy cookies.... heaven. We even took home homemade cookies and brownies from their coffee bar. you've got a winner."

  • "You can't beat the beautiful views from the Verde restaurant's bottom floor location along Biscayne Bay. The variety of food choices were quite good, especially for a family. We enjoyed the squash pizza, warm shrimp salad, and the Verde burger. All were delicious. Our desserts of Thai donuts with dipping sauces and the chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream were unique and yummy. The only drawback was that the service was a bit slow. I chalk that up to the restaurant' recent launch. Our server was very kind and knowledgable, but wasn't quick to refill our water glasses and slow to bring the check. The longer wait took time away from our time to view the museum. However, I would definitely dine there again."
