Started with the appy of meatballs...this was one of the best meatballs ever and their homemade sauce...well...it's as good as homemade!!!! I had cavatelli with broccoli rabe and crumbled sausage...and hubby had the chicken marsala...both were delicious...the cannolis were to die for!!!! The ambience and the service cannot be beat! Had the small carafe of wine...probably would not do that again...wasn't very good...but you get what you pay for! Bartenders wandering awkwardly, having to leave the bar to find a glass, etc. A restaurant of this caliber shouldn't be using sour mix from a gun, resulting in a margarita that is muddy and overly sweet. Excellent service @ the bar where we had a 'before our meal' cocktail. Friendly, professional and expedient service while we dined. Tasty appetizer of meatballs in a marinara sauce, good solid entree of Cavatelli. crumbled sausage with Broccoli Rabe. We love the cheese and meat appetizers that come with a fig jam and bread, always very high quality. This time got the wine dinner, selected wines were very good. The slow cooked pork dinner is delicious, try it. The gnocci appetizer was ok, I thought could use more flavor. tiramisu dessert was great. My wife's risotto was also terrific.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, Verace is a greatAs always, Verace is a great place for dinner or even lunch. The wait staff is always accomadating and attentive. This particular visit they were short staffed so service was a bit slow. Also, they had a person in training which slows things down just a touch.
They made changes to the menus without causing any problems, such as leaving out mussels and adding clams.
