A word from Ventuno
Ventuno is an island restaurant inspired by the frascas of Italy, small farmhouses which opened themselves up to friends and neighbors with wine and homemade food.
Executive Chefs Gabriel Frasca and Amanda Lydon, with Chef De Cuisine Andrea Solimeo, delight in imagining Nantucket shellfish, fish and produce in Italian hands. House-cut pasta and simple takes on the bounty of sea and land are complemented by a carefully curated Italian wine list.
Drink and eat our entire menu on either dining room floor or bar, or the open-air back bar, with comfortable service and the inviting breeze of the ocean.

  • "Quaint Nantucket home gone restaurant with dining on multiple levels. We went with our 2 teens who can be a fickle bunch and they had something for each if us including my veggie 17 year old. By the time we left bar was packed and a line was formed waiting for tables. Highly recommended place in the town of some many notable restaurants."

My husband was disappointed in his meatball appetizer..marjoram or some spice he didn't like, the flam was great The bass was excellant, the steaks very good, Kale salad yummy, pasta dish with Barlett tomatoes did not have enough tomatoes, corner table in bar area too confining for the men in our party, the service was perfect 500$ price point was high.. not everyone was totally happy with their meal, which for 500$ one wish that wasn't so"

  • "The ambiance delightful. The food was good...service was aweful. Had to ask for water and bread. Two dinners were served the other two almost 10 min later. We had to ask , twice, for the other meals. Then when we were done, we sat with dirty plates for a long time. The staff was not that busy as we had an 8:45 res. and the night was winding down."

  • "Ive been vacationing on Nantucket for over 20 years and there are those restaurants which I will always frequent during my stays - Ventuno is one of them. Both my parents are off the boat Italians so for me to say the food is good means the food is really good. The pasta dishes, meatballs - all of that is decadent and delicious. They also offer items on the menu for people that may want something other than pasta - I love their scallop dish. Out of this world. Visit, dine and hit the back bar afterwards. You wont regret it."

  • "This gem was recommended to us by an "On Islander" & are we glad! The kale salad was beautifly split in the kitchen for us. Our entrees, Sea Bass for Rich & Organic chicken for myself were perfectly prepared. The wine list has wonderful selections from very high end to moderately priced. The waitstaff is attentive without being overbearing. The Host came to our table and chatted with us for a bit asking if it was our first time & how did you hear about us. We will defiantly return next visit to Nantucket!!!!"

  • "Went here with a 2 1/2 yo well behaved toddler. The chef even came out to make sure that my toddler's food was put on a cold plate so that he wouldn't burn himself. Everyone went out of their way to ensure the best dining experience possible. The service was impeccable and when my usual well-behaved toddler wasn't so, everyone was accommodating. The food was just beautiful. We had the pork and beep meatballs (the best we've ever had), ricotta and honey crostini (amazing) and kale salad (barely could tell it was kale). Parpadelle with duck and Sea Scallops and shrimp were stunning and tortellini was delicious. We are foodies from NYC and we can't rave enough about this place. We hope to visit again this time, with a more rested child!"

  • "The atmosphere at Ventuno is welcoming and friendly. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and shown to a quaint table in a smaller room off of a larger one on the second floor. At no time were we in need of our waitress. Our glasses were always full, the table was promptly cleared for the next course, and we never felt rushed. Choosing my selection for dinner was a challenge! The chicken parmesian arancini and polpette antipasti were delicious! I can also recommend the fritelle de ceci. I chose spaghette alle vongole for my main course to leave room for dessert. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the garlic was just enough to flavor and not over power the dish. The wine list is extensive. It was a wonderful experience!"

  • "Always reliable (as was its ancestor 21 Federal). Excellent food, top notch service. Best bang for the buck for high end dining on Nantucket. So glad the new proprietors did not mess with the layout/decor too much. 21 Federal was a Nantucket institution and its new incarnation has not strayed too far from its venerable past in vibe and overall quality."

  • "The food, once it arrives is really delicious. The service is non existentent. The servers do not suffer from bad attitude but just need training. Our server was completely in that the dark about the wine list and the when asked about gluten free options, we were told that they had gluten free pasta then the person with the gluten allergy was given bread by the same person. It was actually funny. Go for the food, bring patience for the service."

  • "If you're looking for traditional Italian, this is not the right place. There is hardly anything traditional on the very PRICEY menu, which in itself is very odd. The waitress was very far off in here estimate of portion size, so instead of ordering half portions, we ordered full, and ended up having far too much leftover food and paying an extra $36 for it... As for the food, there was far too many flavors going on, and a serious over usage of garlic in the spaghetti with clams. Other weird notes about this place..one small slice of bread is served person, fried lemons in the calamari, a very uncharming atmosphere. If you like hoity toity dining, this is your spot, otherwise, don't expect to enjoy it for the price."

The dish was really good but the amount of the full portion was like a half portion at any other restaurant. Felt the price was ridiculous.... Otherwise it was good...."

  • "Our server, although pleasant, continually interrupted our table conversation instead of waiting for a break in the conversation. It happened so much it was noticed by everyone at the table. If you want to be a high class restaurant, be respectful of the people talking. The bus person also tried to clear individual plates b4 others were finished - several times - our guest finally had to say - cant you see, not all of us are finished!!!! Other than that, the meal was delish! Thanks."

  • "Have been to Ventuno's a number of times. This time we had a tiny table for 5 people. Which could have worked had the plates not been the size of ufo's. MUCH to big for table's diameter, so the plate edge overlapped the end of table over your lap. The food was good but the kitchen was VERY slow. We were there for almost 3 hours for an app, entree & coffee. Upstairs is overwhelmingly noisy...what? What? What?"

  • "Not this time unfortunately! The food was still very good but the evening was ruined due to excessive noise levels from the bar. I realize it was Wine Festival weekend and that the bar was more crowded than usual. However, our table was in an area right next to the bar and the people kept encroaching into the dining area. We asked to be moved but was told that was not possible. Not sure why since there was a table for two in the next room that was vacant for most of our time there. The manager offered to buy us a drink but that really didn't do much to make our dining experience much better. The service was a bit slow as well (however our server was very nice ) We will not be back for awhile, especially during any special events!"
