My entre, the 'ear' pasta, was good, but a little bland. (I like things very spicy, and this was not spicy at all.) The veal dishes are incomparable, which is what we usually order. The seabass is a delicious alternative. We've tried many appetizers and salads in our many trips here, and they've all been delicious. We've settled on the pear salad, since it is delightful but not too filling. Every dessert we've tried is yummy, but our favorite is tiramisu, followed closely by the profiteroles (filled with chantilly cream rather than ice cream). The breads are fresh from the oven. The entire service staff is warm and friendly, but we have a favorite waiter who makes the dining experience especially warm and friendly. This is our favorite Denver area restaurant.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dining experience to date.This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had in a while. The food was excellent and our waiter Alberto was wonderful. He allowed us the time to actually enjoy each course and did not rush us through at any time.
We have already recommended the restaurant to family and friends, and we will definitely be dining there in the future.

Ours was a bit beat up and had kind of a "circus" look to the cover. I think if the menus were updated, I would give the ambiance 5 stars. The burrata cheese plate was good- not great, calamari plate was good but under seasoned. The entrees were very good, pasta cooked perfectly. My son's dish was served with wild rice, and it was grossly undercooked and inedible. The server took a clean fork to it right in front of us, and agreed. We enjoyed a complimentary dessert and proseeco as we celebrated Mom's 71st birthday. The restaurant is incredibly noisy when full. It is difficult to carry on a conversation at a table larger than 2-4 people. It was very crowded and we arrived at 6:55 and were seated as soon as we arrived. This place is a "Gem" in a shopping center.
The waiter was a seasoned gentleman by the name of Christopher Robin. He was very friendly, professional and knew his wines. The owner quickly came over to welcome us and wish my wife a Happy Birthday (it was in the reservation).
The service, food and wine were all excellent. If you want flavors that dance all over your tongue then this is just the place for you. From the crusty bread and rustic lavosh to the velvety chicken marsala... "molto delizioso!!!" P.S. It was my birthday and Venice Ristorante prepared the most elegant and luxurious plate of canoli, tiramisu, chocolate covered strawberry, and creame anglaise. I wanted to dig a hole and live in my tiramisu for the rest of my life. Heaven! We were set up at a nice table by the window in the bar area, which proved to be private and not as noisy. The food as always was great. We all ordered something different, which was unusual. I had the pear salad which comes nestled inside a strip of cucumber. I was eyeing my friend's ceasar salad in the parmesan bowl. Both were great. I ordered a spicy shrimp dish-I forget the name-but the shrimp was perfect! Our server was good, but talked a bit too much and there were long waits between dishes, bill, etc, but he may not have wanted to interrupt. It was our anniversary dinner and even though we dined on the 5280 menu we were still offered a complimentary drink to help celebrate our anniversary. The service was fantastic! Our server was very helpful with the wine selection and was very attentive and friendly. By far the best Italian food we have had since moving to Denver from New York City! The pear salad was light and refreshing. The service is truly outstanding. Our favorite waiter makes us feel like royalty. We have never had a bad meal here or even an off one.
