  • "Great place, menu and service, the best experience I ever had in a while. I'll recomend it to all my friends. We will back soon."

  • "Venice Ristorante was the perfect place for a bachelorette party! The staff was amazing and the food was incredible! We couldn't have asked for a more fabulous place to celebrate at (at for very reasonable prices!). I would recommend this to any group - one of my new favorite Denver restaurants!"

  • "I had the sea bass...amazing. My husband had the Osso Bucca, also amazing. If you love Italian food and beautiful presentation, you will love Venice Ristorante. I took pictures of everything from appetizers to dessert...beautiful."

  • "I took my fiance here for her birthday dinner at her request. It was great! Our server Sarah was attentive, the food was very flavorful, the wine list is on an I-pad and extensive. Great place. We'll be back well before the next bithday."

  • "We have always loved Venice. This was the first time we were disappointed. This dish I normally get had mussels, clams, calamari and prawns. This time it had tiny clams and shrimp - the taste was very different. The ambiance always was really attractive and inviting. Now, it looks tired and in need of a paint job among other things. The normally crowded dining room had very few people, and it was a Thursday night. Not sure what is going on, but we will NOT go back. Geri Schmidt"

  • "The food was amazing, the waiter was awesome, and I would definitely go back there again!"

  • "The server was preoccupied and somewhat rude. The decanters were all dirty, we tried three. Our party of 6 was crammed into a table next to a pillar which was awkward and tight. There were curtains in our way. The chairs we're wobbly, we swapped out other chairs and they were still questionable. Lastly, the food was mediocre. Chicken was a little cold. Venice used to be our go to place with out of town guests. I won't go back."

  • "Venice is my favorite restaurant for business lunches in downtown Denver. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and welcoming. The ambiance is outstanding. My guests like the varied menu, including the usual favorites and the daily specials. Venice is simply the best!"

  • "Cannot say enough about the wait staff - Julio was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met, drinks were replenished without us asking. When I asked where the restrooms were he didn't just tell me, Julio walked me to the restroom. The food was delicious and we would definitely dine here again."

  • "My girlfriend and I went to Venice for 5280's "Restaurant Week." Every course was great and the service we received was borderline impeccable!"

  • "We had my sister's birthday party here on Saturday, a group of 10 people. The service was absolutely fantastic, the food was amazing! The presentation was very cool. Spiro was our waiter and he was absolutely great - very accommodating! Everyone had such a fantastic time and we all agreed that we would be back. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Having gone to a number of Italian restaurants in Denver --- including those places rated higher (inexplicably) and costing twice as much --- this is a "must try" for anyone who loves Italian food! I've been to all the "usual suspects" when it comes to Italian cuisine in the Denver area, such as that place "which shall remain un-named" (but is located in Governor's Park), and I consider the Italian food at Venice Ristorante to be superior to most other venues in the area. They also have a pretty decent wine list......probably the only area I can think of which could stand a LITTLE improvement, but not by much. And the service.....outstanding! Again, if you're a lover of Italian food, I encourage you to try this place out! Great place!"

  • "Instead of being directed from the bar to the dining area, we were taken down a hallway, past the bathrooms, and sat at two tables pushed together in a dark, isolated room that appeared to be the employee locker room in the kitchen. There were literally people cooking right next to us and it was very loud. There were lights above us that were burnt out. No explanation or apology was given to us. My reservations were made over a week in advance and there was plenty of empty tables when we arrived. We made the best of it, but I was embarrassed and felt as if we were robbed of the true Venice experience. The food was mediocre. My friends were not impressed. I didn't make a big deal of it, but I wish I would have. I will probably not go back."

  • "We arrived 5 minutes after our scheduled reservation time and were told it would be about 20 minutes for our table as several couples were ahead of us waiting to be seated. The hostess admitted they overbooked the reservations. We went to the bar, ordered martinis only to be told they were OUT OF MARTINI GLASSES and if we'd mind a rocks glass. We did mind but didn't want to change our drink order. By the time our drinks came (one in a martini glass, one not), our table was ready. We transferred our bar tab and sat down."

  • "We checked in for our reservation, and were told to go to the bar. No one offered to serve us, so we stood there for 15 minutes, and finally asked about our table again. They took us to the back of the restaurant to seat us. Food was excellent. Server was good, but it was a loooong dinner. It took forever to get our wine opened after they brought the decanter to the table. Took forever to get dessert menus, and then dessert itself. We were there for over 2 hours. And the seats are hard wooden, not very comfortable for 2+ hour stay."

  • "The beautiful ambiance, complete with fresh flowers on every table; food, elegantly presented and delicious; and served impeccably, all combined for a wonderful birthday celebration. Though we frequently enjoy Venice, we started a new birthday celebration tradition last year, and we will continue the tradition into the future! Our sincerest thanks and appreciation to Chef Christian and Paco, General Manager. Our celebration was outstanding!"

  • "We had been hyped about eating at Venice Ristorante and had expected something special. The only thing specifically wrong was that we had to wait over 30 minutes for our dessert, even thought our waiter and the manager went back to check on it multiple times. That aside, the food was good but not exceptional, the room temperature was uncomfortably high, and the noise level was made louder by a blaring speaker that a neighboring table requested be turned down but it never happened. We won't be back; there are so many wonderful restaurants in Denver, why return to an "okay" one?"

  • "This was a very good place for my date and I. The wine selection was very extensive and the waiter Dominic was very helpful, personable, and attentive. I will be back!"

  • "Menu was great. Wait staff was excellent. It was a snowy night and we really appreciated the valet parking. We will visit again soon."

  • "I went here with girlfriends from work. We had a great time. It was nice that we could all talk and hear the conversation. Stopped at the bar first, great drinks! The fried calamari was fresh, but not as crispy as I would have liked. Otherwise it was a good meal. The staff was very courteous!!"

  • "I have been to Venice before and it was great...so I am rating based on a normal night with just a couple or a small group. I would not recommend them for a large group or a very busy evening."

  • "Our reservation was at 7:45 and we were not actually sat until 8:15. After we were sat we did not see out waiter for another ten minutes. I have worked in fine dining in the past, and I know that when a guest has to wait that long, it should always be addressed by a manager and never ignored. As for the food, I have only good things to say!"

  • "The restaurant was extremely noisy, granted it was restaurant week, and difficult to have conversation. Food was very good. It was so busy and hectic that it put me off of Restaurant Week."

  • "My wife and I love Venice and hope our experience on Saturday (2/22/14) night was a fluke because it was chaos in every area except the bar. ALL reservations were being sat late by about 30-40 minutes. Pacing of courses wasn't very good for us and others around us; entrees were hitting the table as diners were about 50% through their salad course. Certain thing were just lacking like crispy pancetta on the spinach salad or warmth in my coffee (it came out luke warm). Table next to us got half their entrees and the other half came out about 10 minutes later. One lady had tiramisu spilled on her purse. The wine was great and the food tasted very good it just that everything else was really subpar. Again, it was not the norm for Venice"

  • "Delightful menu for Denver Restaurant Week. Service was impeccable."

  • "This was the first day of "Restaurant Week" and this restaurant was over booked, the kitchen over worked and our poor waiter was trying his best to pull it off the best he could. The place was so noisy I could not hold any kind of a comfortable conversation with my dinning companion. The pasta dish was very under cooked and very salty. You would think a noted Italian Restaurant would know how to cook pasta. It was just too much for this restaurant to handle. I hope the rest of "Restaurant Week" goes better for them."

  • "We were so impressed with Venice when we dined there during resturant week. I do not think of Denver as having spectacular Italian food in general. Venice was a wonderful surprise! Food was wonderful, service was great and I felt like we were in Italy again! We had the veal which as well prepared without too much breading and delicious. We also really liked the calamari. We will definitiely be going back soon!"

  • "Great food. The Caesar salad was outstanding more for the bowl than the taste, tho that was good too. Service was pleasant and responsive. For a restaurant week menu Venice did a very nice job."

  • "Good (not great) food, terrible service. Won't be going back. Nothing else to say about this place."

  • "food was mediocre , service was mediocre at best , we enjoyed the extensive wine list , and the ambiance would have been great if the heat was not cranked up to 90 , the hostess staff seemed untrained and un friendly. . Our young waiter did pretty good till the end of the meal when he informed us they had run out of all the deserts offered , he offered canolis , but not a fan of ricotta cheese we said we would just skip it no big deal . he came back literally 10 seconds later and informed us they had some how found the deserts ???? Just didn't get that welcome feeling i like when i visit an establishment in my neighborhood"

  • "Venice was clearly not ready for the restaurant week rush on the first night of restaurant week. When my date and I arrived we were seated and then immediately told we had to get up because that table is actually for a table of 16 people. So then we had to go wait another 10 minutes to be seated. The maître d' was very rude. The server was friendly. The pasta at this Italian restaurant was undercooked. My entrée was supposed to have a potato cake. I got tasteless mashed potatoes. When dessert finally came out after an extended wait, the cheesecake was still frozen. There was a large amount of time between each course. I'm sure this is a good restaurant any other time of the year, but we were first timers here and won't be returning."

  • "Our waiter, Driss, recommended a great wine which was served in a unique carafe and he provided outstanding service all evening. We noticed that many of the patrons knew him so this is very much a regulars' dining spot. This was our third visit and the food was once again excellent."

  • "Before you read this review book your reservation first because this place will not be a disappointment. Great spot for a special night out and you just have to fill your desire for some Italian food. Presentation was very good greeted with a friendly smile and professional manner. Seated immediately with another friendly staff greeting you with a warm welcome. Check out the lounge/bar you will find a formal seating with a warm area to enjoy your glass of wine with friends or business associates."

  • "We had an early reservation so we could be on our way by 7 to make it to the theatre for a 7:30 show. Our waiter saw to it that we had our bill by 6:50. Two of us had the sea bass, one halibut and the fourth had pasta bolognaise. All four entrees were excelent. For desert we shared the "best ever" Tiramisu and lovely Profiteroles. The bottle of wine ended up not being a favorite but it is the one we selected. This dining experience was an excellent choice overall and we will definitely return."
