Diner Reviews
  • "Chose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and exceeded my expectations!! This restaurant provided the best service from the time we walked in to the time we left that evening!! We started with the meat and cheese sampler, and then split the papparadelle and osso bucco!! Each course was better than the last!! I am so glad I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday!! "

  • "Had been wanting to go for awhile but never seemed to get there. Went for a special occasion with my wife and it lived up to all the hype. Treated well, great service, food was delicious and dessert was outstanding. Highly reccomend for business or personal outings. we will be back. "

  • "Nice anniversary evening out, I had let the restaurant know about our special occasion. My wife was greeted to “happy anniversary “when we gave our name to the greeter. The service was excellent and made for a very nice evening for the two of us."

  • "We had a wonderful meal here and would come back in a heartbeat. The food was fantastic, the service was impeccable and the ambience was wonderful. Very nice wine list with a great range of choices. It is clear why the restaurant has been around for 20 years!"

  • "Food was better than ever, noise level very acceptable, they were busy so our service was good but not great."

  • "Came here for our Anniversary dinner. I let them know on the comments in OpenTable and they were very prepared. They sat us at a nice table and the service was great. They even prepared a special anniversary desert free of charge. I would recommend this restaurant I had a great experience."

  • "I have been here a few times in the past year since moving to Atlanta. Coming from the northeast, I have experienced all kinds of Italian restaurants and I would put Veni Vidi Vici up there with the best of them. The staff is very friendly, very knowledgeable and always around to refill your drink or take your order. The Hostess even took our coats for us and hung them, and once seated she handed out the menu's and placed the napkins on our laps. Nothing too crazy, but little touches like this bring you back. Since my first visit, I have brought any visitors here as I know they will be impressed and enjoy the great food. Oh, its also cheap. For the quality of food and service, I would have expected the bill to be double what it was."

  • "Beautiful, open dining area, and a little more compact menu. The fish that we both ordered was delicious! Taking the advise of our server, we found the trout to be the best that we have every tasted. The service was excellent. I even found my favorite wine, which I had ordered in the past."

  • "We had a 7:45 reservation and was finally seated @ 8:20. The service was slow and my entree was so salty that I didn't finish it. We have been there before but probably will not go back."

  • "This place was outstanding from start to finish. Our waiter was engaging and extremely helpful. When we asked for a small order of pasta prepared anyway he wanted, he told us that he would surprise us with a very special pasta. And indeed he did. The pasta had duck , tomatoes and mushrooms in the sauce. Our main course of rabbit and fennel was a delight to our tastebuds. The Tarfulo dessert finished off a perfect meal. AND all of this was more than reasonably priced. I want everyone to go to this restaurant, including foodies, romantics, and just plain I want to eat some good Italian food at a reasonable price."

  • "We enjoyed the VVV charcuterie board and the grilled octopus as appetizers. I have sampled the grilled octopus at several highly rated local restaurants and this was the best yet. The meats and cheeses were also excellent. We shared a pasta dish as an intermezzo. We tried the agnolotti filled with braised short ribs and it was also wonderful. For entrees, two of our group ordered fish - the trout and the branzino and both cleaned their plates. I selected the osso bucco. It was an enormous portion and very well balanced with the saffron risotto. Server was helpful and attentive without being interfering. This was an excellent fine dining experience."

  • "I took my mother-in-law to Veni Vivi Vici as a special treat for her (me too!). We went to see David Garrett at the Atlanta Symphony Hall after dinner. I knew the restaurant was close and went there about 15 years ago. I remembered how good it was then, and was delighted to see it was still great! From the hostess to the waiter to the food and ambience, we had a really nice and memorable dining experience!"

  • "Had dinner here before the theater. We were there early and provided instructions we had 2 hours to eat and drink before leaving for our show. Wait service was very slow. We had to keep pushing our youngish waiter to pick up the pace. We ordered a bottle of wine well in advance and it arrived (after hounding the waiter) after our meal. Come on guys. His response "The bar is very slow" I don't care, the place was empty still as we sat down at 5:30 pm. Unfortunately we had to cancel our dessert. It did not arrive on time. Took the waiter 30 minutes to get our after dinner drinks and still no dessert. Told him to keep it, we have to go. Food not so memorable, not bad, just not great. Go somewhere else before the theater."

  • "I took my husband here for his birthday / anniversary and he was astonished! Service was on point , food was flavored to a T and ambience is perfect. I did not expect him to like Veni Vini Vici nut, he fell in love with it. Now he declared it as the usual spot for special occasions. We'll be coming here all the time."

  • "For more than 20 years VVV has been one of our favorites. Now? Not so much. The newly truncated menu is a big disappointment. There is not even one beef item offered, just two veal items (Parmagiana and chop) and a limited number of fish and pasta dishes. Worst (for my wife) is the absence of her beloved scallops served on 75 minute polenta. This has been a place not only for a lovely dinner for the two of us, but one we were pleased to share with guests. No more. We were told that the City of Atlanta has made VVV discontinue the use of their wonderful rotisserie. Bah! Although we were told we could call a day or two in advance and ask for scallops, but what about the rest of the menu?"

  • "It was my first time in Atlanta and although I had read many reviews on the place I was still skeptical as I am picky and selective. Upon our arrival the hostess was extremely polite and professional and after being seated our server was not only attentive and funny but was very personable and professional. The food was excellent and very decently priced. My wife being a non meat eater was delighted and impressed with the options and flavor of everything we were served. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone who asks and would like to return again, next time I am visiting the area."

  • "Veni Vidi Vici has been around for some years, and to it's credit still has a terrific and attentive wait staff. Unfortunately, the food doesn't quite live up to the service. My wife's fish had so much salt she couldn't finish it, while my fish was more on the bland side. The overall experience was more "ordinary" than I would have expected"

  • "I was in town for a business meeting and staying near the airport. This restaurant was worth the 20 minute taxi ride for a delicious Italian dinner. I was in a party of 9 and all of us got different dinners from seafood to veal to pasta. The food was rich, nice portions and a good variety for all tastes. The service was moderate and at times we had to remind our waiter of various things (ie; our drink orders) however for me that wasn't an issue and definitely didn't overshadow the experience. We shared a couple desserts and they were well done. Definitely recommend this restaurant!"

  • "Our server was quick and efficient, but it got to the point where it was a little annoying. She acted like she was reading off a script and wouldn't lighten up, and she came by about every five minutes to ask how our food was which got very annoying."

  • "Visited Veni Vidi Vici for the first time this past Saturday evening. My husband and I were hosting a large group and were pleasantly surprised that we were put in a private room. The food was all very good - but the best part was the outstanding service we received. We will be back."

  • "My wife and I dined here over the weekend to celebrate life and had a blast. The mood was right and food was delicious. Only minor issue was the server wasn't as attentive as he should have been. My wife had the Lasagna Matta and I had the Orecchiette. Simply amazing. We will be back."

  • "My wife and I found the personal service to be impeccable, attention to detail superb and great ambiance. Because we have traveled abroad and experienced great authentic Italian food we thought this is the one area that could be improved upon."

  • "Whenever I'm in Atlanta I want to dine at Vini Vidi Vici. This trip I went with my cousin Philip and we wanted to visit. Our waiter times everything just perfectly, not pushing us to order. And when we ordered only pasta he continued to wait on is as though we'd ordered appetizers, followed by salads, entrees, and desserts - as though we were his most valuable diners. And our pasta was delicious!"

  • "We stayed at the Renaissance and were looking for a good restaurant with a decent bar scene near by. Great food, great recommendations by our servers, and wonderful atmosphere. My husband and I will definitely be back to eat here again. It was close enough we could walk to a couple of other bars / lounges after dinner for a drink and close enough for the complimentary hotel shuttle to pick us up afterwards as well."

  • "It has been several years since I last dined at Veni, Vidi, Vici, and I'm certain now that we'll be back much sooner this time around. The service was spectacular and the food was prepared perfectly. The menu has a wonderful array of options and our evening specials were outstanding options as well. Highly recommended."

  • "Service was excellent. I got seafood pasta of day. It came out 5 minutes after ordering and pasta was stuck together like it had been sitting in the kitchen waiting for an order. Wife's pasta good but not as good as Pasta Di Pilcinella. Prices reasonable."

  • "Veni Vidi Vici was wonderful! Easy to park with the Valet service and a great location in Midtown Atlanta. The food was truly delicious and the wine list was great with a wide choice of Italian wines to choose from. I had the agnolotti which was bursting with flavors...it was fresh and wonderful! My husband had veneziano (Atlanta flounder) which he said was very light with a delicate taste. I will take his word for it since I do not eat seafood! The finish to our meal was amazing and I highly recommend it...the Kit Kat bar. OH MY...this little piece of heaven was quite honestly worth ANY calories it contains. There's plenty for 2 people and enough to satisfy my chocolate craving until Easter (6 weeks away). Excellent waiter!!"

  • "Delicious wine, bread, and pasta! Did I mention the bread?! Soooo good. I loved everything but the atmosphere... I felt like we were sitting in a giant room with very little character. It wasn't very busy (on a Saturday night!), so that might have had something to do with it. Great meal - I would go back."
