Diner Reviews
  • "Always good experience. Always a good experience. Always a good experience."

  • "I first dined at this restaurant in 1992. Even though the bocci ball courts are now gone, the restaurant and food are still top notch. Although I was a bit perturbed that we waited 25 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, I was not disappointed in the service or the quality of the food. There is a freshness and finesse to the food that I frankly have not found elsewhere in Atlanta. The food here rivals anything I have experienced in Florence or Sienna."

  • "We had our usual wonderful dinner at Veni Vidi Vici this past weekend. We were delighted to see that Travis appeared (we had been away for about 9 months) to wait on us again. He is such a delight. Our dinner was great and the service even better!"

  • "My husband and I had a gift card and hadn't been to VVV in many years. We are on a low carb diet and thought we'd be breaking our diet that night but surprisingly, we didn't have to! We split an app (shrimp, lightly breaded), salads and fish and Brussels sprouts for dinner. It was all amazing and the service was excellent! Low carbers don't be afraid of this Italian restaurant."

  • "one dinner was sent back because was too tough. one fish was good, but very small portion and pasta was OK. Disappointing this visit."

  • "We brought our two daughters, 12 and 15, to celebrate their mom's birthday. The menu was perfect for both adults and kids. the charred octopus hors d'oeuvre is great. Order it. Food was interesting and tasty. All in all, this was a fine expereince."

  • "Our food was cooked well and quite interesting. Our waitress was extraordinary in every dimension. She knew the menu, made food and drink recommendations and helped us work through options that were gluten free. The speed of service was excellent and overall friendliness of entire crew was excellent. I highly recommend"

  • "A combination of good food, good service and an excellent environment. Enjoyed the evening and comfortably sat late and relaxed while enjoying the food and wine. Add to it an excellent midtown location with very convenient parking in the same building. Will be back."

  • "Title says it all. The live music was nice, but the food was expensive for the quality that was delivered. The wine list was impressive, but the whole experience just seemed to lack that special touch. Not sure what was missing."

  • "I am writing to air my complaints about the very poor service that we received at your restaurant. The staff's attitude and lack of communication had spoiled my evening . I imagined this will be a nice place to celebrate my friend's birthday but after what we went thru I'll never return . The food was not even close to what we call Italian food. Ms. Mary Murcio was the issue and this place will not be on our list ever again. Best Regards,"

  • "Went with two friends for dinner. We had a wonderful and delicious dinner. Timing was perfect. We were able to have a conservation with shouting at each other. The only problem we had was getting there. Our reservation was at 7:15. Unfortunately, traffic in midtown is horrific during that time. Being aware of this, we left early to get there on time."

  • "Yasmine was an awesome server. So engaging and friendly. We enjoyed her input, comments and conversation tremendously. Only thing we were not thrilled about was the manager not letting my mom (mom obviously being a "senior") know that there was a main level restroom when she inquired about it but instead confirmed the restroom was located downstairs. Not looking out for the needs of the customers for sure."

  • "What makes Veni Vidi Vici special is its service. A team of people keep the glasses filled, the bread basket filled, and our wishes met. Suggestion: to allow birthday celebrant to choose a complimentary dessert from the menu."

  • "The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. We ate early so the atmosphere was nice and quiet. We loved the dessert menu, too!"

  • "Celebrating out 19th Wedding Anniversary, we decided to drive into the city to one of our favorite. It was as good or even better than we remembered. We had the Osso Buco and Pappardelle. Both great dishes. It was so worth the drive. The wait staff was superb and make the event even better."

  • "Bartender was extremely rude and obnoxious. Had we not had other guests coming we would have left. Acted like he was doing us a favor to take drink order and we were the only ones in the entire bar. Our server Connor was exceptional and made our evening. We eat at all of the Buckhead group restaurants while visiting Atlanta and live in Boca Raton. We are regulars at Chops and send a tremendous amount of our clients to that restaurant. Doubt I would return to VVV after the bartender episode."

  • "We have always made This a must stop every 6 months when we came to the Gift Show. While our server tried her best, they were badly understaffed and it caused the timing of our meal experience to be terrible given our expectations from earlier visits and the high prices they charge. Main course came out before we finished our appetizers. Sent it back until we were ready. Obviously when it finally came to the table it wasn't hot, nor the sides we ordered. Our server had much too much territory to cover and was never in view when needed. If this was a moderate restaurant we wouldn't have cared. But at their prices, we did. Too many restaurants to experience in Atlanta now to put up with this type of experience at this price structure."

  • "Chef Jamie and his team did it again. We met family at VVV for dinner, they were driving through and are from Chicago. Everyone absolutely loved their meals. Our service was fantastic, they gave us the space to really visit, but were attentive to our every need. We will be back as this is one of our favorite places. :)"

  • "We had reservations but decided to eat at the bar. The Bartender was great but had the worst hygiene. We witnessed him with hands on the floor as he's entering & exiting the bar area & wiping his nose without ever once washing his hands before touching glasses or serving food. Thank goodness the wait staff served our food. Again, he was a great bartender outside of his cleaning habits. We love Veni Vidi Vici, but we will not be coming back any time soon. We made the mistake of not informing management before we left, which is our fault. We usually do our due diligence to inform management of any issues to ensure that they have the opportunity to address them. My wife & I both grew up in the restaurant business."

  • "Veni Vidi Vici is a fine dining experience. I had the deconstructed lasagna, and it was outstanding. The bread basket stays full of tasty treats and the sides are delicious as well. The restaurant was surprisingly busy on a Monday night, adding to the fun vibe of a nice dining experience."

  • "Expected very good, as normal with BLG Restaurants, but this was one of our best experiences....every dish, from salad -pasta - fish - desert was notable. Also service was pleasant and top notch; will be back with friends."

  • "I dined at the restaurant with an Italian friend who grew up with traditional italian fare. We shared the grilled octopus that was as good as any I have tasted. I ordered the seafood risotto. There was a generous portion of seafood in it. The shrimp were a good size. I had the sauteed spinach with garlic which was just right. The bread pudding was outstanding. I was planning to have just a few bites. However it was too good to not indulge. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Our water was refilled before we requested it but with no interruption to our conversation. The servers were friendly but stayed in the background. It was a wonderful evening. My italian friend was thrilled with the food. We both highly recommend VVV."

  • "This is a very nice restaurant. The food was not spectacular, and given the price range, there are many better Italian restaurants in the area. The prices were not outrageous, but the food did not impress. It was good, but certainly not great."

  • "ate here last Sunday- everything was fine- good food, good service- my son is a vegetarian and they went out of their way to accommodate him."

  • "This used to be one of my favorite spots but I have to admit it has slipped a good deal. Menu did not appear to be as robust as before and the food was not what I remembered. Appears to be in decline unfortunately. Not sure I will return."

  • "Loved the Sunday chicken/veal special! Delicious. Service was attentive and outstanding!"

  • "While we have been there before and had great food and service, this time we experienced many problems, primarily associated with the server. Our evening was not going great but I did not say anything until the manager came over and asked how our dinner was. By that time I let loose with my complaints and displeasure. Being as polite and as courteous as she could be, she immediately took action to get us another server and did other gracious things to make the evening be a positive experience. She did not want us leaving upset and went above board to make sure we were pleased and would come back. This is the quality of the employees of the Buckhead Restaurant Group; they have great managers who get the job done!"

  • "My experience was better this time than in the last 3 times I visited the restaurant. The wait staff was attentive and took care of our needs. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I still think that this restaurant has a ways to go to step up to the level of food and service of the other Buckhead Life Restaurants."

  • "Lobster Ravioli & Crab Risotto were amazing. Excellent service and live music was refreshing. However, n=menu ordering was Strange: I've eaten at Veni Vedi Vici, last year with a large group. I feel that the menu was much easier to order from back then. This time, when the waitress read off the specials, we were immediately in love with 2 items, but they happened to be appetizers."
