Diner Reviews
  • "We had reservations but decided to eat at the bar. The Bartender was great but had the worst hygiene. We witnessed him with hands on the floor as he's entering & exiting the bar area & wiping his nose without ever once washing his hands before touching glasses or serving food. Thank goodness the wait staff served our food. Again, he was a great bartender outside of his cleaning habits. We love Veni Vidi Vici, but we will not be coming back any time soon. We made the mistake of not informing management before we left, which is our fault. We usually do our due diligence to inform management of any issues to ensure that they have the opportunity to address them. My wife & I both grew up in the restaurant business."

  • "My husband and I went to dinner there earlier this week expecting a hearty Italian meal. We were disappointed, but the service and ambiance is great. It just wasn't for us."

  • "Veni Vidi Vici is a fine dining experience. I had the deconstructed lasagna, and it was outstanding. The bread basket stays full of tasty treats and the sides are delicious as well. The restaurant was surprisingly busy on a Monday night, adding to the fun vibe of a nice dining experience."

  • "Always high quality authentic Italian cuisine; not crazy busy on Sundays"

  • "Expected very good, as normal with BLG Restaurants, but this was one of our best experiences....every dish, from salad -pasta - fish - desert was notable. Also service was pleasant and top notch; will be back with friends."

  • "From the time we arrived until the time we left we thoroughly enjoyed VVV. The greeting was warm and friendly both at check-in and our table. The menu has something for everyone and both of our entrée selections (papperdelle and pugliese) were wonderful. We have never been disappointed with VVV and always look forward to an opportunity to dine there."

  • "I dined at the restaurant with an Italian friend who grew up with traditional italian fare. We shared the grilled octopus that was as good as any I have tasted. I ordered the seafood risotto. There was a generous portion of seafood in it. The shrimp were a good size. I had the sauteed spinach with garlic which was just right. The bread pudding was outstanding. I was planning to have just a few bites. However it was too good to not indulge. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Our water was refilled before we requested it but with no interruption to our conversation. The servers were friendly but stayed in the background. It was a wonderful evening. My italian friend was thrilled with the food. We both highly recommend VVV."

  • "This is a very nice restaurant. The food was not spectacular, and given the price range, there are many better Italian restaurants in the area. The prices were not outrageous, but the food did not impress. It was good, but certainly not great."

  • "While we have been there before and had great food and service, this time we experienced many problems, primarily associated with the server. Our evening was not going great but I did not say anything until the manager came over and asked how our dinner was. By that time I let loose with my complaints and displeasure. Being as polite and as courteous as she could be, she immediately took action to get us another server and did other gracious things to make the evening be a positive experience. She did not want us leaving upset and went above board to make sure we were pleased and would come back. This is the quality of the employees of the Buckhead Restaurant Group; they have great managers who get the job done!"

  • "ate here last Sunday- everything was fine- good food, good service- my son is a vegetarian and they went out of their way to accommodate him."

  • "This used to be one of my favorite spots but I have to admit it has slipped a good deal. Menu did not appear to be as robust as before and the food was not what I remembered. Appears to be in decline unfortunately. Not sure I will return."

  • "We have always enjoyed the attentiveness, food and ambiance of Vini Vidi Vici. I hope that we have many more of our special occasions with them."

  • "Lobster Ravioli & Crab Risotto were amazing. Excellent service and live music was refreshing. However, n=menu ordering was Strange: I've eaten at Veni Vedi Vici, last year with a large group. I feel that the menu was much easier to order from back then. This time, when the waitress read off the specials, we were immediately in love with 2 items, but they happened to be appetizers."

  • "Wonderful food, well prepared. Our server was friendly and paid close attention to details. Our first visit, we will return."

  • "My experience was better this time than in the last 3 times I visited the restaurant. The wait staff was attentive and took care of our needs. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I still think that this restaurant has a ways to go to step up to the level of food and service of the other Buckhead Life Restaurants."

  • "The service is one of the best we've experienced in Atlanta and the greater North Georgia area. We wanted to enjoy a leisure relaxed dinner and from the minute we were seated, we were not rushed, nor were we forgotten."

  • "Every thing was very good but some of the 'wow' factor was missing. Had the grilled smoked octopus appetizer on top of greens (very good but not great...both greens and octopus were chewy), the swordfish (wonderfully moist and flavorful...our favorite) and the seafood risotto which was very tasty but not as creamy or as al dente as expected. Server seemed distracted (ie. wine had tiny bits of cork in the glass and we ended up removing them ourselves with a spoon as we couldn't get his attention although it did not seem to be a busy night. Also had to request more olive oil with our bread...just little things. We will definitely continue to return as this restaurant has always been a favorite and we are hoping this was just a slow Monday."

  • "It's been a while since I visited this restaurant- until now. The staff was great but unfortunately the food did not measure up to how I remembered it in the past. For instance my lasagna had zero flavor. It was truly like there was a mistake back in the kitchen. Hopefully it was just an off night."

  • "The food was delicious and Travis took exceptional care of us. He was attentive, personable and made sure that we had a great experience. We will be back to enjoy another wonderful meal on the patio very soon!"

  • "Friendly greeting upon arrival. Excellent wine recommendation at bar before dinner. Bar tender was friendly and helpful to us and exhibited great customer service. Service in dining room was superior. Menu offered many tempting items. Food was excellent and we will definitely be dining there again soon."

  • "Tucked away in Midtown - my favorite spot every time I am in Atlanta. Amazing food and service! Recommend the duck and chicken ravioli -- yum!"

  • "Used to be much better, with a larger selection, and more interesting combinations. Downsized the menu considerably, and lost much of what I found interesting. What they did have was good, Italian food, but nothing spectacular."

  • "the service and food were superb. the mushroom soup is a definite delight. we had the pugliese and the sicialiano and both were outstanding. the chef and the staff did a great job. this was our third visit and was our best visit. Next time if I go on a Friday I am going to splurge and try the OSSO BUCO FRIDAY."

  • "My evening was wonderful. Everything about this restaurant was enjoyable from the food to the ambience to the exceptional service. I would recommend for anyone to try it..."

  • "While appetizers (that did not required preparation: Parma ham, braseola) and dessert were very good. The main dishes were certainly not what we expected from an "italian" restaurant. Good wine selection a bit pricy. Good reaction of management to the disappointment!"
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "I have not been back since the fire, but I must say that the kitchen was on point the night that we dine. The lobster ravioli was wonderful as was the calamari appetizer. The wine list is superb-I just wish that there were a few more selection "by the glass"."

  • "The restaurant has thinned out in food and desserts. With that barrier coming up 14 Street parking is more difficult. They seem to be leaning more toward fish dishes. Desserts are becoming cookie-cutter. Could not find one Rose' on the wine list."
    Dined on 6/16/2014
  • "Great special dishes for this special day - the four-cheese ravioli was delicious and just the right potion size. And VVV's tiramisu is the best!"

  • "First time visiting this landmark haunt in Midtown and was somewhat disappointed. Perhaps all the other Buckhead Group venues are just so much better. The atmosphere was dated, plain and tired. The noise level was uncomfortable for what was anticipated to be a quiet upscale experience. And the food, well it was delivered too quickly, had obviously been prepared "way" in advance and it looked it. Flavor was good, so the recipe is solid, but the presentation was poor."

  • "Great Father's Day dinner without the kids!!! The waiter was superb...knowledgeable and attentive. The meal was excellent except the ravioli was a little too al dente, however it was flavorful. The whole fish was excellent, the brussel spouts outstanding...and dessert wonderful as was the wine and live background musician."

  • "Fantastic------- noise level minimal which is a definite plus ----- the risotto frutta di mare was sumptuous ---- absolutely goluptious to use an obscure word. Look it up"

  • "Food was very good, but service didn't match. The server was very friendly, but despite having multiple people available to bring food, remove plates, fill water - our water glasses remained empty for quite a while before they were refilled. Enjoyed the live music."

  • "lackluster service, bland ambiance, and average food"
