Food was very good except for the onion in the lobster salad. Regular french fries would have been preferred to shoe string. The portabella mushroom appetizer was to die for. 2 people raved over the shrimp. We all had different entrees and enjoyed them. The server was a little hard to understand. The restaurant is great foodwise and atmosphere wise.They have updated the decor and it is very nice. We had a large round table overseeing the water. We did have a large group of 10. The ecoustics were the only problem. It is very difficult to converse as the restaurant is very noisy and loud. Perhaps it was because it was a busy Saturday night. Use a GPS to find your way in and out (there are two ways to get in, but only one way out.) There is a terrific view of the Boston skyline. A nice place for a business lunch or a special occasion. I couldn't hear the waiter telling us the add'l specials of the night. W had previously ate in the banquet room in February,during your remodel and had plenty of room between other tables. My daughter's graduation ceremony was shorter than I had anticipated. I called the Venezia and asked if they could seat us early. They told us to come in and they would give us the next available table. We were seated immediately. The staff who greeted us when we checked in were wonderful. The food and ambience was great. There were six in our party and every one of us enjoyed our meal. Coffee and dessert were also excellent. Waiter was okay. Did not come back until we were done to ask if we needed anything or if everything was okay. But, overall, the experience was wonderful. My family and I enjoyed it very much and will definitely be repeat diners.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMan old favorite renewedWe have enjoyed Venezia many times in past years and this year we went there for a birthday celebration and enjoyed it so much that we renewed our determination to go more often. Most menu items are very well prepared and presented, portion sizes are appropriate for lunch, waiters are attentive but not intrusive, and the view is not to be missed. Even though the restaurant seems to be located directly beneath a flight path to Logan, we heard no air traffic noises at all. Perhaps there is no way to dampen the noise but if there is, please do it! Of course a full restaurant can be noisy, but this was bad!

A recent renovation of the restaurant has updated their look and improved the overall ambience. They menu has been tweaked a little as well in terms of presentation rather than the offerings themselves. The food remains outstanding. View of bay is lovely, with ample window seating. Restaurant is designed with floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the waterview. Decor is understated to emphasize spectacular waterview.Food was excellent and service impeccable. I think they do a bit better job at Italian than Seafood. My Ravioli AlForno with Sausage was outstanding, but my guy thought his Swordfish was dry. The strawberry ice cream dessert was an unexpected WOW. They put the two of us in a separate room from the rest of the crowd, very romantic, there was only one other couple there throughout our Dinner. The Waiter was fantastic and the food was incredible and the Dessert too. And the prices are great too, you'd expect to pay more, and we would have.
