Velvet RoomBirthday DinnerWe chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner because we stayed overnight at the Clift Hotel. We had 2 starters, chickory salad & bay scallops. Both excellent. For entrees my husband had steak and I had Haddock with chick peas in a tasty sauce. My fish was just a tad dry (overcooked), but delicious. Portions were moderate to large -- perfect for us. Our waiter, Nicholas, was THE BEST! He was also my waiter in the morning for breakfast. So professional and knowledgeable. We were surprised that on a Saturday night there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant at 8 p.m. Why? When it was Asia de Cuba it was hard to get a reservation on the weekend.
