VeladoraReal Dining ExperienceThe evening was lovely there was a wedding party in the courtyard which made the space festive and we had drinks in the Pony Room which is a fun and happening space and then escorted to a private booth in the dining area. We have dined here before and enjoyed it very much. The portions are generous and the food wonderfully fresh and creative. The service, our server was Victoria, was delightful and very professional. It was my birthday which made it extra special and two of us are gluten free and we had many choices including desert. Upon entering the restaurant you are welcomed and immediately shown to your table. The seating is comfortable, the surroundings so well appointed, you are able to have conversations without the feeling that other diners are listening in. The food was delicious, the portions a little on the small side - but we didn't leave hungry. This is not a place for a routine dinner out. the spices and perhaps the black beans.......not sure there were any beans under the salsa and eggs but there should be!!

The Pony Bar next door was hopping but the restaurant was quiet and beautifully lit. Our Waitress Victoria was amazing so much fun and knowledgable about the menu and the wines and recommended a really delicious White wine. I had the fig and goat cheese salad.YUM my huband had the pea soup with crab the crab was amazing the soup was a little bland. My vegetarian Quinoa was fantastic as was his special of the day :Halibut. The food was delicious and prepared well and as ordered. The unanimous complaint from the 6 at our table was the very small portion sizes for the excessively high price charged. The value for the price just isn't there. I doubt any of us will return.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved VelodoraWe had heard that portions were too small and that discouraged some from returning we found this not to be true and in fact are very personable waiter, Chip, informed us that feedback dictated they change the portion size and had recently done so. We were quite full and satisfied. And we both enjoyed our meals very much. We love the new booths and how comfortable they are and what a delightful dining experience it was.
