"Our (4 adults) first time to Vega. The table was ready for us at the appointed time, and the evening was perfect! This is the small, friendly Italian restaurant we were hoping to find. Beautiful aroma, great menu, careful explanations, delicious food, very good service, and a cozy setting. The prices were where they should be, and we all left with a smile on our faces. "Reasonably priced neighborhood place. Salads were well composed. Mushroom pizza was wonderful. Pasta was a bit too oily. Wines by the glass $9-12 a bit pricey for this level of restaurant. The bread/olive oil were uninteresting. Tables are really close together (too close). If I lived in Bernal I might go back, but since I don't, I probably won't."

"We went for a light dinner -- pizza margherita (love that pizza) and salads. Tuesday is half off for kids night, so lots of kids there (very cute), but a totally different experience (not complaining). Love their romana salad and artichoke pancetta --"

"Vega is a nice neighborhood restaurant with enough variety on the menu to please a group. We had the house gnocchi with sausage & mushrooms & it was very good. We also had a pizza which I found mediocre: the toppings were fresh but the crust,though thin & crispy, was rather tasteless. Service was very good- attentive but not pushy."

"This was my first time there, and I liked it a lot. Had their basic salad which was terrific and the wild boar ragu which was really delicious. The waitress recommended a fantastic wine, and all in all it was a lovely meal. I would definitely go back."

"VEGA is located on a street that feels like small-town America, but it's very much a SF restaurant: quietly stylish, fine food carefully prepared, generous portions, and attentive service. We ate early, but the restaurant filled up quickly on a Monday night. Still, the noise level was manageable since there is no bar area."
