The food and cocktails are quite interesting with a lot of Scandinavian flair. However, I feel that things were a bit on the pricey side based on the size of the portions. The decor was modern and sleek, and in keeping with the mood of the restaurant. My only real issue was the noise issue with piped in modern music being played rather loudly and getting louder as the evening progressed along with the overall volume of the other diners making it difficult to converse.

Inventive food. Brighter, more exciting flavors than you might at first associate with Dutch/Scandinavian cuisine. Convivial, energetic atmosphere. Incredible homemade bread. Amazing beer list, but not amazing enough to justify the ridiculous prices. Need larger pours or cheaper prices on the beer.

this restaurant was great! The smoked oysters app came out on a bed of lit pine boughs. The charred romaine was delicious--as were the entrees. Had the market fish and the lamb's neck which were good but the beef short ribs were the winner. Would go again!

If you go for brunch, the pastry basket is a must. I am still thinking about the cinnamon roll. I was with 2 friends and we all ordered something different. Everyone was happy with their food. I had the burger and it was delicious! I will definitely be back.

Good food (I had been looking for Dutch pannekoeks for a while, and this solved the craving), reasonably priced, nice staff. My waiter seemed a bit disinterested, but it was just after opening the day after the clocks jumped forward so I'll cut him some slack.

We have been to Vandaag 3 times for brunch and we are always so happy with our food, service, and overall experience. The menu seems scary with a lot of words you don't recognize and ingredients you never heard of but the servers are so nice and eager to explain. Once you know what the foods are they may seem like weird combinations, but they are all delicious: savory pancakes, kale salad, slow poached egg, pickle pot, the lightening pot, I could go on and on! And don't even get me started on their coffee. It is the best in the city, strong, smooth, never bitter, and they serve it in a large pot that they keep on your table for your refilling pleasure and it is only $6! Atmosphere is clean, bright, and noise is perfect for conversation
