A word from Valenza Restaurant
Valenza is a cozy, upscale Italian eatery in Brookhaven. It takes its name from a small village in the Piedmonte region of Northern Italy. Valenza is well known throughout the world for its artisan jewelry manufacturing which has earned it the nickname “city of gold”. The cuisine at VALENZA is inspired by the diverse culture of Northern Italy. Executive Chef Matt Swickerath’s focus is on classic and modern cooking methods using fresh seasonal and local ingredients to create a classic Italian menu with an updated culinary touch. The menu features a variety of antipasti, pasta, risotto and Italian entrees. Valenza has the heart and spirit of a cozy and warm Italian village café in an upscale setting. The dining room features venetian plastered walls with rustic oak and pine woods. Experience the warmth and elegance of Valenza when dining under the antique European candle chandeliers. • "Went to this awesome gem in the Brookhaven neighborhood for my birthday with a few friends and family. Fantastic meal, enjoyed the veal and pork meatball pasta...great bread, great service...AWESOME atmosphere. This is amongst my favorites in this area. Just really enjoyed the atmosphere, decor, food...and the service was top notch"

  • "Great fresh food and a wonderful staff. We've been eating at Valenza for years. We drive 25 minutes to get there but it's our 'neighborhood gem' and go to restaurant when we just want to have good food, good service and a mellow ambiance."

  • "The food an service were outstanding. Squash blossom appetizer was outstanding. Italian food menu very varied and food was as good as we had in Italy. A little out of the way but great neighborhood restaurant in the Brookhaven Aera of Atlanta.the outside dinning area was great"

  • "This was my second trip, and the second time I've been completely underwhelmed by the food. My penne carbonara was swimming in oil. My partner's fish special was fine but nothing to write home about. Overall the food has not been bad (well, the oil wasn't great)--just not very good either. The service was good this time -- the first time I was seated over half an hour later than my reservation. Why such great reviews?"

  • "If you have a Tuesday night where you are wanting a great meal - including a nice glass of either white or red wine - the Lobster Risotto is the best deal in Atlanta. The risotto is delicious and well worth the trip to Brookhaven."

  • "We had a good dining experience at Valenza. We were going to a play, and once we told the waiter that, he made sure to get our food out in plenty of time. Everyone at the table had something different, and all the food was well prepared and presented. Will definitely return for another meal."

  • "Great food; great price; fun... This restaurant is a neighborhood gem that's worth a trip if you don't live in the 'hood."

  • "When Pasta melts in your mouth you know it's fresh and house made. The beautiful Hostess was great letting us sit at the bar for a cocktail before moving to the table. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was on point! The service was spaced and we didn't feel rushed. Definantly will return!"

  • "My friend and I got there early enough for the lobster risotto and a glass of wine - it was delicious and a great value!"

  • "Sitting on the patio here on a summer evening is about as pleasant as it gets -- a very nice change from the loud rooms you must endure elsewhere. The service was excellent as well. As for the food, we honestly thought the salads, breads, and dessert were better than the entrees, both of which (Orecchiette, Saltimbocca) were too oily and not as flavorful as hoped."

  • "Valenza is just one of those restaurant I have to hit up at least once every two to three months. I wish I could eat there more often if time permitted. The specials are amazing, but you can go with any menu item and not be disappointed. The servers are personable, but do not rush your dining experience. You enjoy the experience and feel that you are dining out on the town, but at home in your neighborhood."

  • "Wine list and wine selected were great; beet salad was very good, Halibut was good but veggies tasted under-cooked, Flat Iron Steak was very tasty, but char was very strong and fingerling potatoes where hard to taste; gelato that we had was tasty but was watery."

  • "Latest Tuesday night special is Lobster Risotto - I'm talking a pound of fresh lobster! With a glass of Italian white wine for $24 is amazing value. Always a fun bar area filled with locals. Bartenders are fun, Chef is awesome and service always great. Can't say enough about one of our favorite neighborhood gems."

  • "What a great time and dinner. After an ill-fated trip to Twist the night before, we needed a quiet calm dinner and Valenza was perfect. We sat on the very quiet outdoor patio, and promptly found out that Mondays are half-price wine nights. The appetizers didn't appeal to us so we split a pasta dish and split the grouper special. They didn't bat an eye at us splittig a meal -- excellent presentation and was delicious. In fact, the butternut squash ravioli was some of the best I have had. I recommend this restaurant."

  • "We are from out of town visiting 91 year old mother. Have eaten here several time. One of our favorite resturants. Excellent food good (not great) wine list. Not as noisy as many others. The service was excellent with special carefor the older person. Would like to have seen a. Little broader wine selection. Overall we were very pleased and will return when we are in town"

  • "We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. We went on a Monday and it happened to be half price wine bottle night which made it even more of a deal. I would highly recommend this place."

  • "Valenza is a nice place in a nice Brookhaven area. Located in Dresden Dr, just minutes from busy Peachtree Rd, this restaurant is a neighbourhood gem. Stayed inside, but they have a nice outdoor area. Went for sunday supper (app, main, sides and dessert dor USD 24) and was not disappointed. Our server (Alberto) was very friendly and kept the service running smooth. The food is really good. Nice Caesar salad to start, then a juicy grilled chicken with red bell peppers sided with roasted potatoes, white beans and roasted cauliflower. The desert was also good, with a sharp pannacota with blueberry coulis. Definitely a place worth to know."

  • "Valenza was very accommodating for our group. We were seated at a table near the patio door, which continued to open bringing a burst of cool air each time, which was very disturbing. They shut the door and the servers were instructed to take another route to serve the guests dining on the patio. Secondly, our server, (Alberto - I believe that is his name) was fantastic, warm, and ensured that we had a fantastic dining experience. I will definitely be back, and will recommend this restaurant again and again!. Thank you for making my 50th Birthday a wonderful celebration."

  • "Decided to go here on the spur of the moment because the restaurant we wanted to go to was booked for the evening. It turned out to be an incredible evening of memorable dining. Everything we had was wonderful, but if you go, you HAVE to try the gnocchi. The best I've ever had - anywhere. Even better than the gnocchi I had in Rome! "

  • "Food was great, service attentive and gracious, noise would have made conversation nearly impossible if we hadn't been fortunate to sit in the (single) booth, walked off to the ceiling. A lovely evening with friends visiting from out of town. We'll be back."

  • "I have been here before but its been a few years. I either forgot how AMAZING the food was or it has gotten even better. I LOVE so many restaurants in Atlanta and am pretty critical b/c there are so many great places to go. The food was seriously one of the best meals I've ever had in Atlanta!"

  • "I am not one to ever criticize an establishment publicly, but wouldn't recommend this establishment for a special occasion. Not a personal style of service at all. Under delivers and for a small extablishment, it should be a more personalized experience. Food quality good but nothing special for the price. Place is trying too hard and the management team is not sophisicated in style. Ambiance is the best factor. Indoors has tight seating and is somewhat noisy, but the atmosphere is better than outdoors where you might as well be dining elsewhere. "

  • "great waiter alberto with a nice outside table. good beet salad. octopus salad too salty. excellent wine, gnocchi, and chicken parmigian (sp?). they forgot the birthday candle in the dessert, but the bread pudding made ME forget. we've eaten here once before and both times we've been very happy. highly recommend."

  • "We are repeat customers precisely because of things like - excellent service (this time from Michael), excellent drinks (barkeep another Michael), and the consistently delicious food from Chef Matt. We asked for a specific table when we arrived, which put an extra workload on Michael (our server) who had just been given a table of 6. He handled it with grace and never missed a beat. Burrata, Linguini Nero, and the catch of the day, trout in this instance, were perfectly prepared."

  • "Although we have tried everything on the menu (except rabbit) The orecchiette & saltimbocca are our favs. The thing we love most about Valenza is the staff - familiar faces (great staff retention) they are always pleasant & attentive without being obtrusive A regular haunt that never gets jaded Familystyle dinners on Sunday & great wine specials on Monday nights You have got to try it Outdoor seating is a bonus in spring. • "We just moved to Atl six weeks ago and have been checking out various restaurants. Valenza came as a recommendation from a colleague. I'm not a total "foodie" but pretty close. This place rocked it on all accounts. Great food, drinks, service, cool room. If I could change one thing.... I'd expand the wine list a bit. "
