A word from Va Beh
Va Beh’s concept is simple: highest quality ingredient, uncomplicated dishes, no pretense.
Natives of central Milano, owners Andrea Alari and Qiana and Michele Bi Bari grew up immersed in the cuisine of Italy's Cosmopolitan Metropolis- “Milano, much like New York is a multicultural city whose palette reflects its diversity. We grew up surrounded by families who had migrated to Milano, a city that seemed to always transcend regional divisions. We are proud of that and wanted to reflect that in our menu.”
Nostalgic for home, they painstakingly created “one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in New York.”
Housemade pastas and desserts, crostini, salumi, are all made even tastier by the enchanting and boisterous atmosphere. Greeted enthusiastically “Buona Sera!” by an animated and gracious staff who both nurture and entertain, the atmosphere mirrors the elegance of the menu with marble walls, communal tables, and wine on tap.

It's very tiny and VERY tight. You have to ask people to move to get to your seat at communal tables. But the food is very good. Just try to get a seat at the bar!

Nice "old school" Italian menu, taste, preparation an service. Just have to watch for the "upscale" recommendations. Go with your gut and be confident with your first pick and you should walk away a satisfied eater and customer!

Food and wait staff were great. Had to keep asking them to turn the music down so we could have a conversation and was so dark you cannot read the menu. Otherwise fun time and great overall experience.

Real Italian food within 100 yards of the Barclay Center. Nice wine list, very helpful servers and decent value. Enjoy!

Such good food, such a little space! Va Beh just has great food. The bruschetta with artichoke is so creamy and full of flavor -- so fresh. Then had the pappardelle with meat ragu -- delicious! Bread and wine just perfect. The huge Barclay Center just across the street from tiny Va Beh -- what a contrast

High points, the food was tasty, the owner welcoming, with glass of bubbles. The also gave us a dessert to share, on the house, may be because it was Christmas Eve. Lows - husbands main came 20 mins after we had finished eating. The low lighting made it impossible to read the menu, so had to order specials. Four people in and out in an hour, felt rushed, like they had more people coming in.

The owner and the wait staff are incredibly nice and welcoming and the food/wine is great; very tiny place but it doesn't feel cramped and they don't rush you- hope they can expand one day; great for a pre or after show dinner (Barclays Center is directly across the street).

If you are going to the Barclays Center then this is a great place for dinner beforehand. Tip off was at 7:30 but were running late and didn't show up to eat until 7. They rushed our order, we had a nice meal, and were in our seats by 7:45!

Food here was very good. Had many of the meats, cheeses and pastas found in Italy. I am glad I tried it. Its right across from the Barclay center so if you are seeing a show its good and close. The owner came and spoke with us also which is a nice touch.

Wow! Who thought eating a garage would be this much fun! Meet your neighbors at the common tables or bar. But enjoy the experience and the food. Great value across the street from the Barclay's Center.
