  • "Met up for our third date and found everything wonderful. the only issue may have been that our table was directly in front of the bathroom, but it actually didn't cause any issues. Speck and other meats were delicious; waiter recommended a great bottle of white; food was excellent. Scored a 4th date!"

  • "Great choice of Italian wines. My boyfriend and I each ordered a pizza. Mine came with capers, anchovies, and chillies. It was fantastic! Would absolutely come back for more."

  • "We had lunch here twice. It is a very nice spot for a quite relaxed lunch. We had pizza both times and it was a well executed, almost authentic Italian pizza (and I am from Italy, I grew up on pizza). The second time was a bit undercooked bud definitely pleasant. A solid place for a nice chilled afternoon out"

  • "Wonderful pizza, the best kale salad ever and delicious Italian wines! The wine was so good that we ended up buying2 bottles to take home."

  • "Good happy hour deal, always great wine and good service"

  • "Service was very welcoming. The wine list is completely in Italian and lower case font, so hard to read & understand. The anchovy pizza was swimming in fishy oil, and while the top crust was burnt, the bottom was soggy. The next dish, the cheese lasagna saved the dinner. Not a tomato in sight, but a delightful bechmal sauce with kale bubbly cheesy tower. Dessert of the chocolate pudding was rich, good, slightly burnt caramel. Very noisy, needs some noise damping panels to block out the large group of girls cheering for shots. Not sure if I would return."

  • "Delicious food and friendly attentive staff. A hidden gem in a fun neighborhood. We went in for Valentine's and they had a great special menu"

  • "My husband and I went for a low key date night. Service was fantastic - great mix of casual and knowledgeable. Cheese and meats were first class as were the veggie antispasti options. The wine list has something for everyone. We will definitely be back."

  • "Food was delicious, wine was great, but bill was significant. a ton of fun though!"

  • "Great little place, cute, cozy, not as cold / loud as we would have thought given the weather outside and how full the room was. GREAT service, very professional and attentive. Appetizers were AMAZING; pizza was great. My pasta dish could have used a little salt and a little citrus to add to the overall flavor profile, but nonetheless, we had a great time."

  • "Great for Happy Hour. We sampled the salad, pasta and pizza offerings from the HH menu as well as the featured wine. All were delicious. Will definitely return."

  • "Great menu, perfect for a couple splitting items or a group share. I would almost prefer appetizers and wine alone but their pasta, eggplant, and main course options are too delicious."

  • "A nice experience, but not quite the experience I was looking for."

  • "We found Uva Enoteca on a list of places, having asked Google where to find a good restaurant for cheese and wine in SF. It was like striking gold. The cheeses and wine selection were not extensive but that mattered little given the quality of what was offered. Much better to offer eight to ten outstanding cheeses than fifty mediocre ones. We loved our dinner and will certainly include a trip to Uva Enoteca in our next visit to the city."

  • "Charming decor in a low light low key way. Helpful staff who always have good knowledge of the food and drink. And surprisingly kid friendly if you have a kid who likes goat cheese and salumi and has a reasonably good restaurant behavior. We always wonder why we don't come more often."

  • "The atmosphere is delightful and the food is delicious. The menu is a bit limited, but it works nicely if you share a main dish and a pasta between two people - we had the meatballs and pasta primavera. There are many appetizers that are good to share and the pizzas are fantastic."

  • "We live in Hayes Valley and have been coming to Uva since it opened. Initially it was a bit of a scene, which I tend to avoid, but the food was excellent and I was really struck by how great a wine selection they had. Now a few years in, the scene has moved on and Uva still has great food and a stellar wine selection. The service is great, we've had the same server almost every time we've been in, which I think says a lot about the management too."

  • "Two girlfriends and myself decided to head out for a holiday dinner and wanted to head to a part of the city we don't find ourselves in often. I immediately thought of Uva Enoteca as a sophisticated and warm, welcoming restaurant, and after our recent dining experience we were very happy with the choice. Our server had great knowledge of the wine list and menu and ensured we had a great dining experience. We were able to enjoy each others company and it was a perfect place to have conversations but also life our spirits on an excellent wine list! I definitely plan to go back. Maybe next time with a date to take advantage of the also romantic ambience."

  • "Totally underrated in SF. Give it a go, quite good."

  • "We read all ecstatic reviews and tried this restaurant. Found nothing special. The desert (some chocolate in a low glass) was a joke. Environment was bare and not inviting. Service - random. Not our type of eatery. Will not come back."

  • "Parking can be a challenge, so be aware that the cross street listed on Open Table (Steiner) is almost two blocks off. The actual cross street is closer Scott."

  • "This place was a nice date spot for me and my boyfriend. We were seated quickly with our reservation, and the wine list here is extensive. Shared the meatballs and the lasagna, both were delicious and highly suggested. Great mood, friendly service. Nice Lower Haight location that I recommend checking out."

  • "came here to celebrate a friend passing her PT boards. We brought a bottle of prosecco ($18 corkage fee). Per yelp reviews, we ordered both a cured meat and cheese plate, all excellent. We got the mortadella, spicy salame, and smoked prosciutto. For the cheeses, we did the truffled pecorino, humboldt fog, and one of the cow's milk cheese per recommendation of the waitress (it was a medium soft cheese, similar to brie). We also ordered the chickpea salad and wild boar ragut. Everything was really excellent. I'd definitely recommend getting a meat and cheese plate (they are pretty filliing!) The menu is small, but a big menu isn't always needed when the items you do offer are all great."

  • "The food was great. Had the 3meat,3 cheese, honey, fig paste, with bread. Phenomenal! Wine was excellent."

  • "The food was quite alright. The waiter never stopped by our table unless we flagged them down, which was obnoxious" but they were friendly enough."

  • "...it's time for a revisit. They're knocking out one simple, rustic, full-flavored dish after another. The slow roasted pancetta with apples was just fantastic. Check it out."
