I've enjoyed UVA on a number of occasions. Generally I would rate the service better however, during this visit we had our meal interrupted 3 times for the server to introduce the next server taking over for them. It was disruptive and unnecessary particularly since it was the food runners that did the work and seems the waitstaff is only required to take the orders and give the bill. Oh, and a glass of water was dumped on my friend by waitress no.2 or was it 3? They were apologetic which is all you can ask. All in all, the staffing seems very unorganized and made the meal feel a little less relaxing than we had hoped.
The food as always, was delightful and we will not give up on UVA.

Really quite a find in NYC. The atmosphere is great. We ate in the back,outside. It's small, intimate and charming. The service was very good. The food was quite good. We had the antipasto for two, both the vegetarian and the meat and cheese and it was all gone very quickly (4 people). I had the duck ragu which was great, Others had the scallops and the Salmon. I'd probably stick to the pasta dishes, because they were outstanding, the Salmon was fine, but nothing special. I'd highly recommend Uva's.

Hello was wonderful, as always! We celebrated a birthday there. The staff is charming and lovely, the ambience is welcoming, and even the other patrons are friendly and warm. The food is the best part, it is top notch. The mozzarella melts in your mouth.

The service was excellent and the food was good.
Started with ricotta and truffle honey bruschetta...delicious!
Had the special appetizer of octopus salad. I've had much better. Overcooked and hard.
Friends had the shrimp, which was good but slightly overcooked, and the scallop which was a big portion and very tasty.
I had a crab salad, yum but needed another flavor profile to make it a perfect dish, and cheese filled polenta in truffle sauce which was very interesting. Def get it to share and not for yourself because its a heavy dish even though its small.
Servers were all polite and proffesional and were there for questions or to refill our wine! Recommend for a small group, no mor ethan 4, or a date night

I noticed UVA opens until 2am on weekdays. I recall it was pretty noisy in the inside so we decided to try outdoor dining and it was really great. There were a number of wines in its wine list but sadly, we ended up getting just okay type wine instead of something spectacular. We had gnocchi and scallops and both were really tasty. The food was not too creamy or oily. Their portions were perfect, not too filling or small and the food was savory. Overall, I had a good experience and good time at Uva. I would definitely go there again for regular night out or dining.

Uva is one of my very favorite restaurants in NYC. I have never ever had a bad meal there. My favorite menu items are the sheeps ricotta and black truffle honey bruschetta and the mezzalune. Delicious! It's also pretty affordable. For $40 I shared an appetizer, has a secundi and a glass of Nero d'Avola! It was great. I recommend it to everyone I know.

This was my first time eating at Uva and it was amazing, I will definitely be back! The place is really pretty and the seating in the back was really nice. The service was great and the food was outstanding. They let me order a different sauce with one of the entree's on the menu and it was delicious!

We had a lovely meal at Uva. The pasta dishes were fantastic, and the portions were good. We also had the vegetarian Antipasti which was delicious, and plenty for our table of 3 to sample.
The service was generally good and prompt.
Atmosphere is lovely. We sat out on the enclosed patio, so we felt like we were dining outside, but were inside, which was cool. The interior of the restaurant is a bit tight and crowded, even for New York, but it wouldn't detract from my dining experience.
We will return.
