Ushio Tei Restaurant offers two private Tatami Rooms, showcasing traditional Japanese-style dining. The large Tatami room accommodates up to 10 people and the smaller accommodates up to 8. Reservations are highly recommended and a 20% service charge is inclusive.

We had the Japanese buffet; not too many varieties of sushi but the salmon and ahi sashimi were fresh and delicious. The wafu steak was perfectly cooked and there was tons of shrimp and vegetables offered.

Went for a small birthday gathering - service was not great (server got our drinks wrong, food was delayed so some people got their food after others had eaten already), ambiance was next to nothing (very bright, unappealing lighting, kids screaming, no atmosphere), and food was just "ok". For the money ($100+ for two people inc. drinks, food, dessert) you can find other, better options.

We waited a while for our entree's when only sashimi and sushi was served for the appetizer. The restaurant wasn't busy at all yet it took about an hour to receive our dinner. When we did get the food the steak wasn't cook as ordered and the chicken was very charred. The food is a little pricey to the cheapest being in the low $40's but i think you can get better food at a better price going to Gyotaku or Blue Hawaii Sushi

My wife and I have been dining at Ushio-tei's buffet for many years now and like always the buffet was awesome!!!! The selection may be small but the quality is very good! I rather have quality food than mass junk! Good quality sashimi, seafood and meats!

Overall the experience at Ushio-tei was very good the Hostess was awesome she switched our dinner party to a more desirable table due a few noisey diners near our original table we were very pleased with the restaurant. The only thing that I found a little off was the rib eye steak was a little rare for my taste other than that it was perfect.

There are not a lot of place to eat at the JW Marriott Ko Olina so we tried this one. It was good fresh food but nothing spectacular. They had a buffet that didn't get replenished enough for all the people who were there trying it. The waiter suggested the buffet but we saw hardly any fresh food there so we opted to order off the menu. I had lobster, was not well prepared and a bit under cooked, very small for the $50 cost. Husband had tempura and steak and he said it was good. Overall it was a good restaurant but I won't hurry back.

the buffet is great and it's a nice mix of authentic Japanese dishes, from sushi to tempura. The service is punctual and friendly. The Disney resort next door can be a bit loud if you're there during one of their entertainment events.
