The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back again!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food! Brought one childGreat food! Brought one child wrong item and had to wait. Very apologetic and paid for the plate. Not up-tight about kids.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food/serviceGreat location if you want a place to have dinner at before going to a show at the Paramount Theater. The food is tasty, and the service was good.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNot Your Typical Hotel RestaurantInnovative menu, sleek décor and knowledgeable staff...what more could you ask for?
The complimentary still or sparkling water was a nice touch. Our server was charming and knew her stuff.
My wife and I shared several small plates: the beet salad was refreshing, and the pistachio nuts a nice change from the usual walnuts.
The mac 'n cheese with bacon and crab (both optional) was good, although a bit too rich. Next time we'll pick one or the other to add to the delicious pasta dish.
We finished with the short rib sliders. Yummy, but I would have liked more slaw.
Overall, though, a solid 4.5 stars.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AM2nd time dining hereThis was our second time dining at Urbane and we were not disappointed. Food is great and our waitress was wonderful about my food allergies. And their homemade ice cream is to die for! I'm not a dessert fan, but at Urbane, the ice cream is so worth it!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThere wer 4 of us for SundayThere wer 4 of us for Sunday brunch. The service was unhurried and attentive. The eggs Florentine, Fritatta and eggs Benedict were all hits with our group!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMModern food, classic serviceOur food and drinks were all very good. The thing that stood out to me the most, though, was the incredibly friendly service from the second I walked in the door. I was a little bit late for my reservation, and they accommodated me anyway with a smile. Our table had several specialty diet requests and all were accommodated happily and with no trouble. We really appreciated the top-notch service and would recommend Urbane.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFun and chic, with yummy craftFun and chic, with yummy craft cocktails. Prix fixe menu was a good option, and mussels come in a meal portion.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMUrbane specializes in delicious,Urbane specializes in delicious, creative, fresh local food. The room is very loud and entered through an awkward, narrow bar area, but the food is delicious, healthy. and unique. My wife and I shared the best crab cake we have ever eaten. The seafood and red meat entrees we have had have all been outstanding.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for brunch or lunch!I had lunch at Urbane with 3 friends before a show at ACT. The location is great in the lobby of the Hyatt. They had a nice menu and full bar. Our only complaint was that our server rarely visited our table and seemed put out when we asked for separate checks, even though she was standing around talking to the host staff.
We had tomato soup, chorizo soup, crab mac-n-cheese, spinach salad, cobb salad, and grilled cheese. We also had wine and a bloody mary. The crab mac-n-cheese was oh-so-yummy! Loved the tomato soup and both salads. Bloody Mary had just the right amount of spice.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMModern Flair, Local IngredientsUrbane has a nice modern feel to the interior...clean metal accents and glass with enough wood to provide warmth. The location is well suited for a meal in conjunction with downtown shopping or a show at the Paramount Theater. The food was very good to excellent. Most items have an "eat local" kind of flair. Appetizers, soups, salads, main dishes and deserts were all well balanced and interesting to the palate. My 13 year old daughter had no trouble finding options that suited her. For a downtown dining establishment, my wife and I felt Urbane offered good value for the money.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHad breakfast twice and wasHad breakfast twice and was a convienient place from grand Hyatt.
