Diner Reviews
  • "We got to wait for 15 min for reserve the items wanted."

  • "I usually don't send in a review after an open table experience. My husband and I love the spices in Indian & Persian Food. This was a real find. We went early on a Sunday evening and are making plans to go back as soon as possible. The food was simply delicious. The menu has a lot to offer and it was hard to decide- everything looked so good. They also had a very good cocktail menu. If you don't try this place and you love this type of food called "Northern Indian", you will miss out!"

  • "Food was good. We were famished & were satisfied beyond expectations. Not sure what to expect when walking in. Prices much higher than the typical Indian restaurants. Live Music at the bar was the extreme LOW point of our experience. Way too loud (esp the female singer) - we prayed for a break but it happened too late; add to this volume the sound of cheering and clapping bartenders.... it was too much to bear. We were in the adjacent dining area so it was unavoidable. Totally clashing. Lights were too bright. Lamb patties tasted more like bean patties. Lamb shank, chicken tika, sesame okra were fantastic. Server Mark was great, Alexi was very accommodating. Keep up the good work, but tweak out the noisy & low stuff."

  • "The sea bass & lamb shank were so good! They were out of the dessert we wanted so we were given free after dinner drinks. It has a great atmosphere."

  • "Finally a restaurant that does justice to Indian food, both traditional and fusion. Loved it immensely! A little overpriced, but great for special occasions."

  • "High end feel with excellent food but priced right. Appetizers, bread options and every chicken dish was phenominal. Tikka ans Masala cooked perfectly and very fresh ingredients."

  • "You basically have four choices for lunch and other than identifying as vegetarian and non-vegatarian, the menu descriptions were meaningless. Very expensive, food is marginal at best, minimal choices, and nothing about it felt like an Indian restaurant experience. I do not expect this restaurant to be open for long."

  • "The flavors of the Indian cuisine are mixed with latin flavors making very interesting combinations. service, at least Daniel who was our waiter was very well trained and made our dinner a pleasant experience. You might want to check very well what you order if you do not like spicy food."

  • "Only 9 days into the start of this establishment and Urban Spice had its act together. Many new restaurants are still working out some major kinks - not Urban Spice from our experience."

  • "To start with they think they are in Manhattan. The prices are sky rocketing, quantity is very very less and quality is like any other average place. We ended up leaving the place right after our starters and completed our main course at another indian resturant across the street. If you really want to be satisfied with your meal than be prepared to spend 80-90 $ person. ... The quantity is so less that one person has to order at least 2 main dishes. I am never going back to this place ever again...."

  • "Everything we tried was very good. My only complaint is that some of the side dishes came out cold. But otherwise, a very nice experience with tasty food! We'll go again!"

  • "We went her for my sister's birthday dinner and were happily surprised by how awesome it was. The food and service was excellent!!"

  • "We tried Urban Spice as a last minute choice on a Sunday night and it was wonderful! It was hard to choose what to try on the menu, but we started with a flatbread that was a cross between Indian and Mexican (hard to explain but WONDERFUL) and a ginger shrimp that was out of this world. My husband played it safe and had the Tikki Masala where I had the Lamb Shank - both excellent. The service was great and everyone kept making sure everything was okay. The flavors are great, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone - this will soon be our favorite neighborhood spot."

  • "Food was excellent starting with the soup (one option for now), Chicken 65 (nice twist to the original), Corn bhel topped with guacamole (warm & nice), lamb curry as well as the prawns entree were very tasty. The veg biryani was ok but the desert trio was "so so". A cut above from the regular Indian restaurant(s) we are used to. Good if you want a celebrate an occasion. $$$"

  • "My with and I went to the "soft opening" on Valentines night. That along with Atlanta being shut down earlier in the week, explained why our waiter may have been a little on the inexperienced side and/or unprepared for the night. While very professional and eager to serve, he needed to brush up a little more to get 5 stars. The food was absolutely 5-stars. We had the Smoked chicken with Cashew sauce, lamb chops, sesame seed okra, and several other dishes; and they were all too delicious to decide which I liked best. These guys have found a perfect combination of Indian with a flare of Mexican. Think curie with a little cilantro thrown in. We will definitely be back for another special night out."

  • "The helping on the dishes was very small: Appetizers and main course. We paid almost 80.00 for a couple, and that was without any drinks"

  • "The food here is delicious. However, the service was a bit comical at times. My wife and I dined together, and they brought out her entree before our appetizer. On two other occasions, they tried to bring us food that was ordered by people at a different table. However, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date. The portions are a bit on the small side (for an American restaurant)"

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. We made reservations and were seated immediately on a Valentine's Day."

  • "Was a little skeptical about trying a newly opened restaurant on Valentine's Day, but the gamble paid off. Food was amazing and service was as well. Took our server's advice and tried the eggplant chaat, which was unique and delicious, as was lamb shank and tandoor shrimp. Desert was homemade ice cream in an orange .. Light and perfect for sharing. We'll be back."

  • "Modern Indian fusion with the heat turned down but flavor turned up. It's a great introduction to Indian flavors in a modern space. Atlanta has needed a fine dining option for Indian food."

  • "New intriguing menu, Indian food with a twist. Tried the Lamb Shank Rogan Josh, and it was very good. Meat falls off the bone and the gravy is very flavorful. Great recommendation. Staff was very attentive and explained the concept, menu and ingredients like pros. Will come often."
