  • "The brunch buffet at the Upstream is the way to go for any special occasion. The food is always warm and good. If you can get a table by the upstairs window do so....very nice view. If you prefer a darker location ask to stay on the main floor. Service on the ground floor has always been fabulous! There was definitely not enough wait service on the top floor on Father's Day. The waitress we had did the best she could, but you could feel her frustration a couple of times. The buffet on the upper floor also moves much slower than the lower level one. We waited for quite a bit of time to get to the front only to find a few of the items not available and then had to get back in line and wait for the items we wanted."

  • " Not great, not terrible, just right. The table we reserved through open table, despite saying 3, 2 adults and one Child in need of a high chair, was apparently not clear. We were told since we reserved through online, we only could be given a booth and high chairs could not be placed at the end of the booths. This is understandable, tripping hazard, etc, and the accommodation, a booster seat worked fine for our toddler after a little maneuvering. However, a large group came in as we were eating, a woman asked if they could get a high chair and the server placed it at the end of their table. Annoying. Brunch was good, a few entrees were lukewarm, but desserts and pastries were delicious. The brunch had options for our toddler, always nice."

  • "Sunday Brunch was very disappointing when I took my family. Service was good, but the food was lackluster compared to other restaurants around town. Chicken was tough and chewy; the fish dish lacked flavor of any sense; the potato and broccoli dish was very very dry and underwhelming and the beef carving station was cold and overlooked. Overall the choices were just not that impressive for almost $20. I will say the omelette station did a very good job, but the gentleman making them was quite loud and cracking jokes with other workers. "

  • "This was our second Mother's Day Brunch at Upstream. Great selection and reasonable price. Reservations were mandatory, and that kept it from getting crowded. Never had a line at the buffet. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. My mom really enjoyed it, so it was a great success. "

  • "We dined here for Mother's Day Brunch, although it was hard to tell the restaurant was celebrating any special occasion. There were no decorations, not even a vase of flowers to spruce up the area. The floor was unvacuumed and pool tables crowded the middle of the room. The food was subpar. The potato salad had strange grainy, bloated red potatoes. The beef was tough and bland. The chicken dish and scalloped potatoes were both coated in flavorless panko crumbs. The fruit bowl contained an odd mixture of fresh fruit and thawed frozen fruit, cued by discolored orange cubes which may have been old defrosted pineapple. Sadly, Upstream seemed to put little to no effort into their Mother's Day Brunch. Better luck and prices at a casino buffet."

  • "I know this is a very busy place so I was surprised when I was able to book a reservation for 8 that was available in less than 30 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant, I found out that they were BOOKED and an error in the reservation system allowed me to book my table. The hostess was very accommodating and worked with the manager to find a solution for us. Not everything went perfectly, but the employees and manager did a great job of handling it at every turn."

  • "We ordered steaks. One rare the other well done. The rare steak was good, but well done steak came charred on the outside and red inside. Asked to have it taken back. They brought the same steak back totally black and crispy. Asked the server if he would eat something like that. He answered no. So then we asked why he would bring us food that looked like that, he just had a lame excuse. They didn't charge us for that steak, but my girlfriend just got veggies for dinner."

  • "I have had great dining experiences in the past. But our experience on Valentines Day was average at best. My girl's steak was over done. My steak salad was overloaded with croutons and very little steak also over done. Smoked Gouda & beer soup was outstanding. Cherry crisp with vanilla bean ice cream was very good. It was a busy night and waitress did her best to be attentive, we did not complain about main courses. Meal was average at best. Cocktails over priced. Because of past good meals, we will go to Upstream again."

  • "We had a reservation for Valentine's Day. We had no problem getting our table on time. Our waiter did a great job. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp which were delicious. My husband had the fish and chips and he really liked them. Good flavor, crisp and hot. I had the Raspberry Chicken which was also very good. Beer was great as usual. Our only complaint were the desserts. We eat healthy during the week so we wanted to splurge a little. I had the Red Velvet Cheesecake and my husband had the Chocolate Mouse Cake. His cake was dry and the Mouse chocolate was inedible. My cheesecake layer was tasty but the Red Velvet cake on the bottom was hard and terrible. A sad way to end a wonderful appetizer and entree."

  • "Entree's for our 11 participants were spotty at best for quality. The chicken sandwiches did not come with toasted buns and the rice ordered with them was sub-par to Uncle Ben's. Others at the table indicated that the Philly sandwich lacked flavor and most of the other entrees were marginal at best. Also, the table was not offered bread to go with their salads/soups. The only bright spot was the salmon as those that ordered it seemed to like it. Also, server brought too many sodas to the table over what was ordered but I believe we were still charged for these on our bill even though he took back those due to his incorrect initial order count. Went to Cheddar's last year - the total cost for better food the party of 11 was $50 less."

  • "Upstream, in both locations, is a nice bar and the beer is worth going there for if that is what you want. I have never been very impressed with the food, you kind of want just good bar food but none of it is great. The appetizers are the best part and a few of the soups are good but the rest is nothing special. I wish it were better because they are both great locations and facilities. The bartenders are great but servers ok. The last time there, in the restaurant part, we got plates with gum stuck to the bottom, waiter was nice about replacing but that should never happen."

Ruben's that were ordered did not look good with huge grilled beer bread slices that were overcooked. A number of us had Jambalaya which was really good and quite spicy.   • "This was our first trip to Upstream for the Sunday Brunch. We thought it was all very good. They have made to order omelets, great bacon and sausags, some good fresh scones and coffee breads/muffins (LOVED the lemon scones), fresh fruit, waffles, french toast, and just about everything else you would want on a brunch buffet. They also had lunch items if one wanted lunch. Coffe, juice and milk are included which is always nice. It was lots of good food at a very fair price."
