chefs put into their menus," says Caroline Potter, OpenTable's Chief Dining Officer. The Wine House, LA's largest wine store, has created a unique and exciting restaurant and wine bar. There are 40 wines by the glass from around the world. Tapas/small plates will complement the wine selections. The style of food is primarily New American, Chef Todd Barrie, formerly of Joe's Restaurant, will be enhancing the menu with special dishes designed to be paired with the wines being featured. All of this in a relaxing, casual atmosphere on the second floor of The Wine House.

After eating @ Upstairs 2 I was embarassed that somehow I had never eaten here! FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED I COULD TELL THIS WAS GOING TO BE SPECIAL! WE WERE GREETED BY ONE OF THE OWNERS, MARILYN, WHILE SHE WAS CARRYING A TRAY OF WINE GLASSES, AN YET SHE WANTED TO TAKE THE TIME TO WELCOME US! SHOWED ME SHE CARED ABOUT HER DINERS. FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE, ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING MENUS ANYWHERE IN LA. TODD BARRIE, THE CHEF A GENIUS. HE CAME OUT LATER IN THE EVENING TO SAY HELLO TO CUSTOMERS IN THE DINING ROOM. THE WINE, AH THE WINE! INCREDIBLE SELECTION AND YOU CAN GET 1/2 GLASS (2.5 OZ), FULL GLASS (6 OZ.) OR CARAFE. AND WHAT A SELECTION AND THE TWINS (2 WOMEN OWNERS/MANAGERS) KNOW THEIR STUFF. Chef Todd's food was wonderful as usual. However, there was a private party in the main restaurant so others had to dine in the much smaller space, Addie's Place. So it was cramped and noisy.
It was annoying when we tried to leave that the rooftop parking attendant had put so many cars on the lot that we couldn't get out until he maneuvered several cars. Took nearly a half hour to leave! BOOOOOOO!!!!

Upstairs Two has been a favorite of ours since it opened...we feel like family when greeted by Marilyn...the staff is knowledgable and friendly without being "in your face. We have given parties at their private dining room, Addie's Place, to raves from our friends...they also do excellent in-home catering...all in all...a neighborhool gem.

I always enjoy being in this room for an extended evening. There is no rush. The service is attentive but never overbearing and the food is served in just the right quantities, and I have always found the wine suggestion excellent. The time between courses might be a little short, but there is never any pressure about the time spent before asking for the check.
