My friend ordered the shrimp with brown fried rice & snow peas as her entree and that looked delicious as well.

We were a table of 6 and each if us got something different and everyone was quite pleased with the portion and how perfectly prepared it was. The Greek salad was very good and large enough to split. The service was also very good. The donuts for dessert were great!!! Food was delicious and came out very quick. Everyone at our table loved their food selection. We ordered a pitcher of sparkling sangria and it was so good!! It was light and refreshing and complimented our meal.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSo delicious!I've now been to Uproot on 3 separate occasions and I'm surprised to find the food more and more delicious every time I return. It's pretty pricey (roughly $30 for an entree), which would be my only criticism. So I will likely be reserving this place for more special occasions. The menu is seasonal so it has changed since the first time I went, but you really can't go wrong. If you still have room for dessert at the end of your meal I would definitely suggest the homemade donuts! The bar has a great vibe, but when seated for dinner we were glad to be in the back room where it is not so loud. The seared sesame tuna in wonton cups and grilled octopus were delicious, and the ribeye with kale was excellent. I would skip the salad next time, though. This was a nice find through OpenTable. I do think that is was a little pricey. The short ribs and sea scallops that we ordered were great. The chocolate lava cake was also something to end a nice evening.
