Diner Reviews
  • "Great club. Went there for dinner and ate in the lounge. We opted to try a variety of different plates and shared them among the 3 of us. We listened to the band and in between sets, they had burlesque performer who was awesome. She did her dances in a very tasteful manner. MY wife and I and her friend are in our 40's and we had great time as it was something different from the norm."

  • "Great hang out place especially for a group of People. The food was great and excellent service. The music was louder than I thought but still great. The atmoshoere was young and enjoyable."

  • "I went to Untitled when it opened 2 years ago, had a great time then and decided to go back despite the mixed reviews I heard since. Long story short, I won’t go back: food was average, all the dishes arrived at the same time rushing us to eat fast and live music was too loud (we were right next to the stage). So all in all, not such a great experience."

  • "I absolutely loved this place. We were a party if 10 people and everyone had a great time."

  • "Been here a few times on dates with my boyfriend, girls night out and birthday/bachelorette parties. Took my mom out for dinner and we were in the main supper club room with live entertainment. She loved it although it was hard to hold a conversation since it was loud. It was also very humid out and in the past I don't recall the restaurant being so hot and humid. It was a little uncomfortable. Either way, love this place and I highly recommend Untitled."

  • "A friend that lives in Chicago recommended we try Untitled while we were in town visiting from NC... and we were SO glad she made the suggestion!! The food was outstanding, the ambiance was lively, the service was impeccable... it truly was the perfect evening and a great way to celebrate our anniversary. There was a great band playing, but we never felt as if it were too loud or that we couldn't enjoy our conversation with our friends whom we were dining with. Overall it was a truly wonderful evening... I would highly recommend anyone wanting a fun place to dine where you can expect outstanding service and amazing food, to try Untitled! You wont be disappointed!"

  • "Untitled is always a treat! Unbridled Thursday entertainment was great as well as our dinner! The wine list was spectacular and the cocktails are spot on! Celebrated Mom's birthday and she was treated like a queen."

  • "I really wanted to love this place, but it was not to be. My friends and I figured that splurging on a late dinner reservation (dinner+drink=approx $50 a person) would be a good way to guarantee a decent view of the show. Not so. Though the food was great, there was absolutely NO CROWD CONTROL. Newcomers and bar-only goers are allowed to stand wherever they want, restaurant policy as we found out - no word on this from any source prior even though I'd specifically asked. So despite paying hundreds of dollars for dinner within feet of the stage, we couldn't see a thing. We ended up having to sit on the floor in our suits and evening wear to see the stage. Conclusion: go for dinner OR the show but don't expect both because you won't get it."

  • "Untitled is a great place for dinner and/or drinks. It is like an old fashioned speakeasy with no sign out front and darkened steps that lead you to the basement, but once there it is very elegant. The food and drinks are excellent and there is often a band playing or a burlesque show. Untitled is definitely not your usual restaurant!"

  • "Our friends are really into whiskey and sent us to Untitled. What an awesome experience! I could not stop looking around at the whiskey library, champagne lounge, etc., and we were so excited when the door near our seating area slid open, allowing us full access to a huge room with additional seating and a phenomenal live band called the Right Now. My husband tried the 'Bring Us the Shubbery' cocktail, which was very good, and we had a sampling of Devil's on Horseback, pretzels and the beef cheek and scallops. The beef cheek was our favorite, and if we had been there for dinner we would definitely tried more. Hopefully our next trip times out so we will be there on a Thursday for dinner and burlesque. Highly recommend!"

  • "I've eaten here quite a few times over the past year or so, and they used to have an excellent menu. I don't know if they have a new chef or what, but there has been a notable deterioration in both the menu selections and the quality over the past few months. So much so that I don't think I'll be eating there again any time soon. It's not that the food is bad per se, it's more that it used to be so much better (the wagyu steak they used to have gave me LIFE!), and it is certainly NOT worth the price they're charging for it. The cocktails, too, seem to have suffered in quality. On the positive side, the service and ambiance are, as always, very good. I'll still be frequenting this establishment, but probably just for whiskey and music."

  • "The manager at Untitled was GREAT! I had accidentally made a reservation for 11 people for my birthday for a Monday evening instead of a Saturday evening and realized it when we all got there to check in. The manager came over and was very nice about it and work really hard to find us a space. He kept checking in with our group to let us know if he could squeeze us in anywhere and he was able to about 30 minutes later which was AMAZING since there were 11 of us. Great service, great entertainment, great food, and a great time!"

  • "Is this a bar or is it a restaurant? Although the doormen were rolled up sleeves, ties without the top button buttoned, and un-ironed shirts; my guests collarless attire was not allowed."

  • "Best kept secret in Chicago! Outstanding food especially small plates; always great music and one of the last good and enjoyable places to dance to live and DJ music. Best of all it is not dominated by tourist or by any one age group and everyone feels at home on the dance floor , at the bar or tables."

  • "While the food was good and it was a cool atmosphere, it was way too loud. I feel bad for the serving staff - they must lose their voices every night."

  • "Great place to listen to music. I'm from out of state, but since I've found Untitled when I'm in Chicago, I love to come mainly for the music and great cocktails. The menu is limited, but what they have is good. I've never tried the pig's tail....and never will! There is a dress code. One of the people in our group didn't have the right shoes and wasn't allowed to go in. Live and learn! Overall love this place."

  • "Invited 8 people to join us for dinner. The place is huge, very flattering dark lighting. Great service. We shared the 3-course tasting dinner, which was terrific and tons of food. Wine, while expensive, was excellent. We were lucky that unexpectedly they had a Prince show that night and bought tickets for $10 each for afterwards. Great show. Like all shows they put on. Highly recommend this place. Great live shows!"

  • "This restaurant could be fun with the right people. I came to catch up with my girlfriends after a long awaited girls night out and to celebrate my belated bday. Fail. First of all it is WAY too loud. We couldn't hear each other across the table. It's really difficult to catch up with friends when you can't really talk or hear. Then the food was only so-so. One of the girls is vegetarian and suprisingly there were only a few things she could eat. Also our waiter was less than attentive. He never once asked if we were celebrating anything, or offer dessert at the end of our meal. We almost decided to leave without paying, with the show going on, I really think we could have done it. Overall I will be not be returning anytime soon. "

  • "We had a great night at Untitled. Very cool venue, great food (do the tasting menu), cool bar, vibrant atmosphere and excellent entertainment - brass funk band and burlesque dancer (not at the same time). Would recommend it for couples on a night out and small or large groups. Highly recommended."

  • "Our dinners were very tasty and we enjoyed all 3 of our meals. The wine list was decent and the bottle the server recommended was excellent. The meatball appetizer is excellent. We were there on the evening of 5/24/14. We were looking for some good wine and a good meal, which we got. However, the band that night was terrible. "

  • "If you request a quiet booth in your reservation specifications and they can't accommodate it on that certain night, they should tell you. Instead we had to endure a night of SCREAMING at the top of our lungs. Fortunately, the food and service were great, but the noise was just obnoxious."

  • "Despite waiting a bit for our reservation, it was definitely worth the wait, as we got a great table in the main room. The food was great, we ordered the tasting menu and were quite pleased with everything served. Great drinks as well! The live music was great, and then the DJ was amazing and made me dance in my chair. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a vibrant lively fun night!"

  • "830 reservation, hostess told me it would be 10 to 15 min tops, and I came back every 30 minutes asking for an update. rather than finding a solution or treating me with any dignity she was extremely rude. Was not seated until 945 when I asked to speak with a manager And he rightfully worked out getting us a table - in the back of the restaurant in a corner at a table for two when we had 3. Waiter was horrible - he took our order and 3 other ppl delivered our food by shoving it on our table. When we declined further food or drink, the waiter cleared the table and removed my half full drink as well. Would neither come back not recommend. Left angry and hungry."

  • "I came here for my birthday. We sat in a booth, which was really cool and private. The waitress was slow, overcharged our credit cards, forgot about our salad, and didn't try to make overcharged credit card situation right. I don't recommend this place at all. It was much too expensive for dinner. Maybe go for a drink or two and that's it. "
