"We dined a bit early in the evening, before the crowd came in. We were lucky enough though, to sit at a vantage point where we could see the crowds file in! All size groups from 2 to 25 on a Saturday night! I would suggest a reservation if you are dining after 5:30 pm. The food was prepared perfectly. The filet mignon caused my spouse to say "mmmmmmmmmm" with his first bite. Frankly, I never heard him say that with his first bite anywhere! For me, the beet salad was excellent. The right amount of seasonings, perfect crunch (yes crunch!) and just the right amount of frisee (which I am not necessarily a fan of.) and blue cheese crumbles. Not to mention the large tender shrimp. We both left feeling full and satisfied. Excellent service!"

"We had a very memorable dinner at Union Trust while visiting Philadelphia. The original building was a bank and the interior is gorgeous. The service was top notch from start to finish. And the food was incredible. The bread provided for the table is so good you have to be careful not to fill up on it. You really want to save yourself for their expertly prepared main courses of steak and seafood, as well as the sides. We particularly recommend the mac and cheese as a side. Overall the dinner was pricy, but totally worth it. If you're looking for a deal at Union Trust they offer a $35 dollar fixed price surf & turf dinner on Sundays."

"It's good steakhouse. In terms of food quality, it's hard for me to tell which is better, this place or all the famous national chain (like Chris, Capitol) but definitely comparable. Great interior (I guess converted from an old bank building). Service and ambiance was great. It took far longer than we liked to get the steaks, but it was a Friday night, so I guess it could happen. But EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE. Especially wine. Probably more than twice than you pay to a liquor store (at least for the wines that I know). Great for special occasions, but be prepared to spend a fortune."

"I went here with my girlfriend for my birthday. Ambiance was great and the food even better. However the service was slow and sub par and I was shocked as I heard Union Trust had excellent service. It otherwise marred a great experience."

"it starts out pretty good, but then it goes down hill after that.. after our food come out, we have no more service after that.. no wait staff come back and check on us. after we got the dessert menu, it take 20 min to have some one come back, so we can place the order, and after another 20 min for our dessert to come out. The coffee is not hot, and we need more brown sugar, but then we don't need anyone we can ask."

"Excellent service across the board at this high end Philly steak house. Steaks (Strip and Filet) were very good but not quite excellent. Sides a little small. Prices high (as expected) but not overwhelming. Big wine list. A nice atmosphere. Upstairs bar looked fun, too bad I brought the kids. Not a "kids place" however the staff was very accomodating with respect to high chair and stroller but no kids menu. Overall, a very good night out."

"This was my first visit here, plus celebrating my wife's birthday. I was greatly surprised an satisfied. The staff was friendly from the valet to the hostess. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and never left us alone for more than 10 mins. They even sent out a peice of cake with a custom happy birthday written on it. The bar scene was friendly and fast, this place is a little pricey but worth every penny. The bone in steak was tender and fell off the bone. I enjoyed myself very much and was a hero to my wife for such a wonderful birthday dinner."

"I have seen many lenghty reviews on this restaurant and I will keep it simple. We went there on a random weeknight for our anniversary and were not disappointed. To start the building itself is amazing with a high ornate ceilings and set up for dinning very well. We were seated in a very nice wrap around booth which offered us views of the entire establishment. Our waiter was great, he was well informed, very good at his job and that to me is one of the most important things. The food was great, we had the scallops and bacon to start. And for entrees we had the wild pacific salmon and black angus beef. Both were cooked very well and I recommend no getting the black angus cooked anything over medium! Cause Medium was perfect. Enjoy!"

"Absolutely wonderful experience. Service is outstanding, they are non-invasive but pay great attention to the details. Celebrated a birthday and they pulled out all the stops without us even having to ask. Looking forward to visiting for the buck-a-shuck happy hour soon!"
