Honestly, it's not worth a comment. I do have to mention that we were 4 guests and 2 had enjoyed their rack of lamb. But service was very poor and food as a whole was below average and priced way to high.

Everyone at our table thought their food was delicious. Strangely, I ordered the scallop special, and I say that because I'm not a big fan. These, however, were delicious, and very tender, cooked to perfection. The risotto was also wonderful, some of the best I've had. My wife said her lobster tails had great flavor and were very tender. We also tried an appetizer for the table, which had assorted meats (duck, proscuitto, salami), as well as foie gras and other items. For dessert I opted for the raspberry sorbet, very flavorful, garnished with blueberries, strawberries, and a single blackberry. Only complaint was the number of steps I had to climb, as my health is not great.

We had the unfortunate situation of going on a fully packed night where there was a wedding party. While the food was good-excellent the service and the attentiveness was coldly professional as well as the heightened noise levels. I would assume the ambiance ,etc. would be significantly more evident on another night.

Large elegant room but only 4 tables occupied (off season). Disappointed with food because a) not thoroughly cooked as requested and b) too many flavors covering up the taste of the meat entrée. Although a BYOB restaurant, there was a short wine list by the bottle, including one half bottle of mixed reds, which was very nice. Shirley, our server, was efficient but I thought she was bored, maybe due to the lack of customers.

The four of us split the Fig and Gorgonzola and the crab cake appetizer, both were outstanding. Everyone had a different meal, Seared scallops, Australian Lamb, Short Ribs, and the Australian Sea Bass… all four entrees were simply amazing. Service was absolutely perfect and to top it off, its a BYO.

We dine at Union Park whenever we visit cape May and are never disappointed. The food is delicious with good menu choices plus daily specials. Try the short rib. Our server was Elizabeth who provided us with excellent table service. The Victorian decor offers a nice relaxed atmosphere without feeling rushed. We look forward to our next visit.

It is a lovely setting, in a Victorian-type setting facing the ocean. But the food was inconsistent -- some of it was really good and some of it was only decent. It is all a bit fussy and stuffy, and better suited to the many senior citizens dining there. But I thought the food would be much better than it was for the price. A bit disappointing.

This was our first meal in Cape May and Union Park didn't disappoint. We ate in the dining room which is lovely. For an appetizer we shared the Duck Charcuterie which was being offered as a special. The duck was prepared five ways with the foie gras being exceptional. My husband had a dozen oysters for dinner and I enjoyed the short rib entree. Unfortunately we were too full to order dessert. We will certainly dine here again.

We have been dining at this restaurant for years when vacationing in Cape May. This year I'm not sure it was quite as good as other years. My mother had the lobster which was not served with butter and she would have liked to request butter, however, our server never returned to the table until we were finished eating. I ordered a filet cooked medium that was more medium well and rather tough. It was dissappointing. My husband had the lamb and dad had the scallops and they both thought they were good. The deserts were nothing unique as they had been in the past. My husband and I shared a chocholate layer cake that seemed like it had been frozen..not fresh. Something was just off in the restaurant this time.

The best Caesar salad ever. My NY strip and my wife's filet mignon were absolutely perfect. Can't wait for our next visit. Standard excellence repeated.

The early seating menu is a real bargain. The food is delicious, the presentation looks like the cover of Food and Wine. We look forward to chatting with our server about his homeland of Bulgaria. On a hot, muggy night, there was a refreshing breeze on the porch where we ate. Union Park stands out in a city with many fine restaurants.

We came to the restaurant on recommendations from Zagat's and we were not disappointed. We had 2 of the fish specials (scallops and barramundi) and they were excellent. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented and our server and the staff was very attentive but not overbearing. Portions were a nice size. We also had appetizers, but didn't have room for dessert, unfortunately, but they all sounded wonderful. We went to the restaurant during the week just after labor day; it wasn't difficult finding parking although that may not be the case during the height of the season. You are able to bring your own wine, which is always a plus, but if you forget, they do also sell wine from a Cape May winery by the bottle.

Our second time and was even better. We started with the oysters which were incredible!! Then we had a the salad special which was a warm fig salad which was excellent. I love that they only serve local wines. It's fun to try some new and local. I had the salmon dinner with goat cheese cake. The goat cheese cake was my favorite and the salmon was perfectly done. Moist not dry. Boyfriend got the baby lamb chops and said was one of the best he ever had. We left very happy and are planning our third visit

From the fig, marscapone, and prosciutto ans scallop appetizers to the lobster tail and salmon main courses, one was better than the other. Service was attentive, professional, and not overbearing. We have only been to Union Park a couple times and have sat on the porch which is nice because you can watch the activity around town but next time will try to sit inside because it is very pretty. We split the Field Greens which were very good and just enough. We each had the Filet and it was the best Filet I have ever had. Cooked just right, had great flavor and was so tender. We even splurged for dessert - the ice cream sandwich (not the traditional) and crème brulee which we both excellent.

We ate in 4 restaurants in Cape May during our week long vacation and if I had to rate them in numerical order, Union Park would come in 4th. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't great. The portions were quite small for the price. We passed on dessert because there just wasn't anything unusual or unique about them. I felt like this was a restaurant that was a little tired - they need to "kick it up a notch".

Started off poorly when they poured our chilled white wine into steaming hot glasses that instantly warmed our wine. Loved the food starting out. Great steak and short rib as well as salads to start. However, service felt rushed the whole time. At the end we went with the créme brûlée. I've never seen a dessert come out faster... It was obviously prepared completely ahead of time as the fruit had caused the caramel used sugar on top to become soggy. The custard was also way to lemony. We had hoped to enjoy our desert but had to send it back. The server told us it was made to order and tried telling us we were mistaken about this. Unhelpful. Love the ambiance and restaurant as we have had pleasant experiences and we'll try it again.

Last year had the Kobe beef burger and loved it. This year the scallops were decent but not yummy. My partner left still hungry. He liked his short rib but found the appetizer sized entree portion skimpy for the price. Our starter salad was mundane. For 100 with no dessert coffee beverages or alcohol this was a big let down.

As we arrived in Cape May a bit late, the first evening we chose to eat right next door to our motel, rather than travel further afield, as we did on later nights. The dining room was comfortable if somewhat staid; the meal was served promptly by helpful staff; and the food was quite good. I very much enjoyed the crab cake appetizer and the duck breast with pears and arugula. Would recommend it.

My husband and I took advantage of outdoor seating on the porch with a view of the ocean on a beautiful evening. My salmon dish was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. I also had the caesar salad which was very enjoyable. My husband had the halibut special which was good but both of us decided the salmon dish (regular menu) was the better choice. My only disappointment was dessert. We ordered the cheesecake which was cold and dry as if it had been sitting in the refrigerator for sometime. As we had paid the bill when dessert arrived our server did not return and thus we did not inform him that the cheesecake was lacking. We will be back as our entrees were very good, but most likely will skip dessert next time.

This was our second visit to Union Park and it was as pleasant and as delightful as the first. The service, the ambience and the food were great and the atmosphere made for a nice romantic dinner. Both my wife and I ordered the duck breast. Hers was cooked perfectly but mine was a bit undercooked for my taste. However, that was my fault because we both asked for medium rare which is exactly what we got. I should have asked for a bit past medium rare towards medium. They offered to cook it a bit more for me but I didn't want to have to sit there and wait. In the end it turned out fine. If you go, try the shrimp cocktail appetizer; large and delicious with a touch of honey in the cocktail sauce.
