Union Park is a beautiful dining room with impeccable service. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. We brought our own wine but there is wine available from a local winery - no liquor license. My only complaint was the size of the table. It was very small and I felt that I had to constantly rearrange it during the meal. Desserts are pricey but very good. This is probably not a good place for children unless they are adventuresome eaters.

We were in CApe May for the JAzz Fest and we wanted a nice, quiet place for a good dinner,, they delivered on all counts. I ordered a venison special, encrusted with cocoa and espresso It was wonderful. The crabcakes were average. It is a bit on the pricey side but worth it. The tuna tartare and ceaser salad were very good.

The scallop appetizer I had was a wonderful mix of tangy and savory and my short ribs were delicious. The green beans were lightly steamed and crisp (just the way I like them) and the profiteroles were generously portioned with rich homemade ice cream. I'd definitely done here again!

We neglected to ask for specials over and beyond the "economy" offering. The waiter forgot to tell me they had venison, which I would have ordered in a minute. The lower-price meal was a bit different but enjoyable and worth the price. Still one of our favorites in Cape May.

This was our first time dining at Union Park and were very pleased with our decision. We often dine at other Cape May restaurants but always enjoy trying something new. The food was excellent and prepared as described. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the preparation of the food. We will certainly revisit Union Park.

I've dined here in the past and, honestly, I was disappointed this time. App of duck ravioli (won-ton style) was overcooked and dry. Entrée of dry-aged NY Strip steak was tough, chewy and not very flavorful. But for the gorgonzola topping and the demi-glace, it would have been close to inedible. Sorry, but this time Union Park was not up to par.

we enjoyed our recent visit to Union Park as much as prior visits. I was leery of the Caesar salad because I don't like anchovies, but our server Jen assured me they were not detectable. I tried it & she was spot on- the lemon garlic dressing was great. The Filet was also wonderful. My wife tried the duck raviolis & the short ribs and was equally impressed. The menu is consistently good. We will be back soon for more!

The foie gras was deliciously prepared with a reduction of balsamic glaze, fresh black fig & poached minced pear. Very good. The scallop special was slightly overcooked making the scallop chewy. Risotto, roasted corn & asparagus added texture & flavor as did the garlic/basil infused olive oil. Nice. The Ice Cream Sandwich, a scoop of Nutella ice cream, homemade chocolate macaroon cookies drizzled with salted caramel. The cookies were well flavored but required a knife. The caramel, while tasty, overwhelmed the ice cream which was inadequately flavored. Just Ok. Service is attentive yet the staff holds to a level of decorum that gives an atmosphere of being standoffish & too formal. Genuine warmness would make guests feel more welcome.

Everyone at our table thought their food was delicious. Strangely, I ordered the scallop special, and I say that because I'm not a big fan. These, however, were delicious, and very tender, cooked to perfection. The risotto was also wonderful, some of the best I've had. My wife said her lobster tails had great flavor and were very tender. We also tried an appetizer for the table, which had assorted meats (duck, proscuitto, salami), as well as foie gras and other items. For dessert I opted for the raspberry sorbet, very flavorful, garnished with blueberries, strawberries, and a single blackberry. Only complaint was the number of steps I had to climb, as my health is not great.

We had the unfortunate situation of going on a fully packed night where there was a wedding party. While the food was good-excellent the service and the attentiveness was coldly professional as well as the heightened noise levels. I would assume the ambiance ,etc. would be significantly more evident on another night.

Large elegant room but only 4 tables occupied (off season). Disappointed with food because a) not thoroughly cooked as requested and b) too many flavors covering up the taste of the meat entrée. Although a BYOB restaurant, there was a short wine list by the bottle, including one half bottle of mixed reds, which was very nice. Shirley, our server, was efficient but I thought she was bored, maybe due to the lack of customers.

It is a lovely setting, in a Victorian-type setting facing the ocean. But the food was inconsistent -- some of it was really good and some of it was only decent. It is all a bit fussy and stuffy, and better suited to the many senior citizens dining there. But I thought the food would be much better than it was for the price. A bit disappointing.

This was our first meal in Cape May and Union Park didn't disappoint. We ate in the dining room which is lovely. For an appetizer we shared the Duck Charcuterie which was being offered as a special. The duck was prepared five ways with the foie gras being exceptional. My husband had a dozen oysters for dinner and I enjoyed the short rib entree. Unfortunately we were too full to order dessert. We will certainly dine here again.

We have been dining at this restaurant for years when vacationing in Cape May. This year I'm not sure it was quite as good as other years. My mother had the lobster which was not served with butter and she would have liked to request butter, however, our server never returned to the table until we were finished eating. I ordered a filet cooked medium that was more medium well and rather tough. It was dissappointing. My husband had the lamb and dad had the scallops and they both thought they were good. The deserts were nothing unique as they had been in the past. My husband and I shared a chocholate layer cake that seemed like it had been frozen..not fresh. Something was just off in the restaurant this time.

We came to the restaurant on recommendations from Zagat's and we were not disappointed. We had 2 of the fish specials (scallops and barramundi) and they were excellent. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented and our server and the staff was very attentive but not overbearing. Portions were a nice size. We also had appetizers, but didn't have room for dessert, unfortunately, but they all sounded wonderful. We went to the restaurant during the week just after labor day; it wasn't difficult finding parking although that may not be the case during the height of the season. You are able to bring your own wine, which is always a plus, but if you forget, they do also sell wine from a Cape May winery by the bottle.

I love that they only serve local wines. It's fun to try some new and local. I had the salmon dinner with goat cheese cake. The goat cheese cake was my favorite and the salmon was perfectly done. Moist not dry. Boyfriend got the baby lamb chops and said was one of the best he ever had. We left very happy and are planning our third visit

We have only been to Union Park a couple times and have sat on the porch which is nice because you can watch the activity around town but next time will try to sit inside because it is very pretty. We split the Field Greens which were very good and just enough. We each had the Filet and it was the best Filet I have ever had. Cooked just right, had great flavor and was so tender. We even splurged for dessert - the ice cream sandwich (not the traditional) and crème brulee which we both excellent.

We ate in 4 restaurants in Cape May during our week long vacation and if I had to rate them in numerical order, Union Park would come in 4th. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't great. The portions were quite small for the price. We passed on dessert because there just wasn't anything unusual or unique about them. I felt like this was a restaurant that was a little tired - they need to "kick it up a notch".
