I love that we were able to make an advance reservation for our party of 11 and we were seated right away. We had four rambunctious kids in our party and UT&K was fantastic and unaffected by the kids, candy-filled loudness! The food was delicious and I especially love the Bacon Bloody Mary, complete with house-made bacon that is oh so good! As someone who is very particular about food & service (which is difficult to find in San Diego although improving...) I LOVE this place and can honestly say that each of the many, many times that my husband & I have eaten there have exceeded our expectations in every way!

Yum!!!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible MealWe've been to Union a few times, but never seem to be able to get a table anymore (that's what happens when people find the good spots). So, using Open Table, I was able to secure a reservation. I am so pleased we were able to get a time that suited us. Chef made a creation of pork tenderloin with cannellinni beans, kale and some outstanding sauce. Absolutely amazing.
It's a rustic, laid back atmosphere with incredible food. Many options for GF diets, which is very difficult to find in any restaurant.
Well done, Union!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLike a bar, but not.Surprisingly not overly crowded on a weekday evening, UNION provided great service and really yummy food for my wife and I. We sat in the "Tap Room", which has a sports-bar feel to it (TV's showing ESPN all around), but it was much more restaurant than bar. Our server, Kellan, was very attentive, and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend both the Bacon Mac & Cheese, and the Homemade Moon Pies (deep fried moon pies, with a shake to dip them in...it's very decadent!).3/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
