A word from Undici
Undici is the recreation of a Tuscan farmhouse. The stone, woods, plaster and tile are all reminiscent of an era passed. The cuisine consists of the freshest quality ingredients available at market. This allows us to change our menus daily to provide continuing freshness and change. The menu is truly rustic Italian. All of our pasta,including gnocchi and ravioli, are homemade daily using only Caputo Italian flour.Continued

Restaurant was very noisy - absolutely impossible to have a conversation with the family. basically either had to yell across the table or sit in silence. Ordered a bowl of pasta - Amatriciana - which has few ingredients and is inexpensive to prepare - received a half of a bowl and was charged about $25??!! Asked the server if this was an entree portion and he said yes. Two bowls of pasta, one salad and one glass of wine - $120. Ridiculous. We had better food in Rome for less money, for pete's sake."

The wine list is a collosal annoyance, unless you are very familiar with italian wine, or speak italian. Service was fine, but a little too insistant on filling water/wine glasses after a sip was taken."

  • "Very disappointing evening here.although i booked this reservation well in advance and arrived on time-we were seated for dinner(table of 6) in the bar area. when i asked why i was told that my reservation did not specify eating in the dining room--I have dined in hundreds of restaurants and never before have i needed to specify eating in the dining room.. Secondly the wine list was very large and cumbersome, so my son asked the sommelier for a recommendation within a certain price range---The sommelier suggested a wine well above our range which we went with but it tasted poorly -so for a second bottle we picked a cheaper wine ourselves which was much tastier. Lastly the food was very mediocre -mozzarella was stale and tasteless-"

  • "I really wanted to love it here. I had heard great things. To me, it was just OK. The Arugula and Prosciutto pizza had no flavor. None whatsoever. I can't even say it tasted good or bad.... It tasted like charred dough. The Duck Ragu was fine. Nothing to write home about. The Milanese was just "OK" and the prices were on the higher side. We asked that they recommend a $30 - $40 bottle of wine. They sold us on a $50 bottle. It was good, but we didn't need to spend $50 on wine. It was pretty inside. But I wouldn't go back. "

  • "Menu and specials were great. Unfortunately it was Good Friday and we couldn't eat meat. Made it a bit limiting. Decided on the risotto and gnocchi. The risotto was absolutely delightful. It was very tasty and favorful. My gnocchi was bland and lack any flavor. I shared the risotto instead. No one at the gnocchi. We didn't complain though I'm sure they would have liked out feedback. "

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Undici. Restaurant Week that brought us in. I started my dinner with the mussels appetizer which was ample and filled with nice sized delicious mussels. I had a wonderful handmade pasta called Papalina with guitar string pasta, prosciutto di parma, cremini mushroom, fresh peas, light cream and parmigiano sauce. I really enjoyed it. For dessert, I had biscotti with cannoli filling on the bottom...yum! Our server, Kevin, was very attentive and professional the whole meal. We will definitely be back. My husband ordered the ravioli special with spinach and ricotta which he really enjoyed. The Caesar salad he had was also very good. No complaints at all with our meal. It was all positive!"

  • "Thought I was going to upscale Italian rest , but it was more Mexican as the music was latinish and our waiter was Mexican and could not speak English very well and we just shook head as we did not know what he was saying. We did not know what specials were until we heard another waitress announce them at an adjoining table. The food was good but not worth the experience The only thing Italian that evening was the decor."

Our sever Katerina was possibly the most pleasant and helpful we've ever had. My boyfriend lived in Italy for 4 years so he typically does not like Italian restaurants in America...he can't wait to go back to this one. And not to mention the beautifully crafted building that houses this place. The manager/owner? explained that it was designed to look and feel just like an old Tuscan farmhouse. Try it out, you will not be disappointed!"

  • "Lovely dining experience. Especially a visual treat. However the soft mood lighting was a bit much. Everything including ladies room is very dark so be prepared! Otherwise lovely setting. Staff was attentive with bread and water and exceptional wine list was well understood and communicated by our waiter. Rabbit ravioli was so so but nice portion. Bolognese sauce on pasta was acceptable. Wasn't too thrilled with sauce. Had too much nutmeg for my tastes. Otherwise I loved it and am going back this week!"

  • "I have been a fan of Undici for the last couple of years. Recently, we arrived promptly for our 8:15 PM reservation. When we arrived, we were told that our table would be ready shortly, that several parties were just finishing their meals, so we waited, and waited...and waited for 45 minutes. We were given several excuses, ranging from a number of customers who had finished their meals were "camping" at their tables and holding everyone up. We were also told that they decided to not open their upstairs dining area, so they had limited seating. While they did buy us a drink after the first 30 minutes of waiting, I don't understand the benefit of making a reservation when you are made to wait--for 45 minutes."
