Owners, Susan and Chef Ben Roberts invite you to enjoy our Contemporary American Cuisine where we utilize Classical French cooking techniques with global influences. With our 150 bottle wine list with 50 wines by the glass, Undercurrent has been recognized multiple years by both Wine Spectator and… Wine Enthusiast. We have been rated consistently tops in our class of restaurants. The ambiance is truly one of the nicest in the area with big tables, nice chairs, and ample space for you while dining. We now have a truly fabulous patio area. We seat our patio on a "first come first served basis". Please comment in your reservation notes that you would prefer the patio if available and we'll do our best to accommodate, but it is best to come in early. A comfortable bar is available to begin your dining experience or to visit after you dine. Please join us and let the capable staff at Undercurrent make your lunch or dinner a wonderful experience.

"The server, Allison was very knowledgeable about the menu and made appropiate recommendations based on our questions. The monk fish was prepared as described. The red pepper soup is a frequent offering and was especially good that evening. The wine list has been updated since my last visit and had several noteable favorites, reasonably priced. We were there to celebrate my adult daughters birthday. She says they prepared the best Tequila Sunrise in town!"

"Another very good meal at Undercurrent! We had the osso bucco special, which did not disappoint. The entree had much depth of flavor. Although I definitely have my personal favorite menu items (e.g., the oyster appetisers, and the duck entree), I do appreciate the seasonal menu and dinner specials that Undercurrent offers. My dinner guests from DC were very impressed. We did like the Friday night free uncorking for the favorite wine we brought. If you want a very good meal fit for foodies, go to Undercurrent."

"I had the Monk Fish special and it was very good. My wife had the Osso Bucco special, and she said it was very bland. Even though we had a table reservation and there were several empty tables when we arrived, they sat us in a very small table for two, with one side of the table up against a wall. Service was ok."

"After too long an absence, we enjoyed Undercurrent's team, ambiance and food again.

Chicken soups with leeks and mushrooms was great comfort food, fried oysters with a very inventive slaw and delicious pineapple was simply wonderful and a crab cake with fennel slaw may have been the best we've ever had.

Klaude provided Undercurrent's usual wonderful service on another wonderful evening at Undercurrent."

"Exceptional pairing of foods to wines. Very creative items at this special event for Jarvis winery's delicious wines. The cherry chutney, cherry-walnut pesto dessert and vanilla bean sauce on the braised beef were all EXTRAORDINARY!! What a taste treat!"

"We make a special effort to arrange Friday nights at Undercurrent to enjoy their free-corkage offer. We like comparing fine wines so a number of friends get together to enjoy the combination of our favorite wines and their fresh, seasonal and superbly prepared menu. It is a truly memorable experience every time."
