This meal was even more delicious! The wait staff is awesome, the family runs this place with love and care. I enjoyed a Lovely Manhattan straight up, then the addictive stuffed lox with shrimp and avocado. The wife could only manage one of the 2 huge pork chops that are the best we had in Queens and I on the other hand gobbled up the black linguini with seafood - We ended the meal with a guava (I think) bread pudding a la mode - unpretentious and delicious!

My Manhattan friends were impressed by the excellent food, atmosphere and great service. Loved that they had no background musac! and we could talk to each other and enjoy our dinner and wine. The prices are reasonable and they loved the early bird special and uncle Peter's sunday.

I dined at Uncle Peter's with my girlfriend on Mother's Day. It was busy and I was able to make an 8'oclock reservation 3 hours in advance. Upon arrival the restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated within 15 minutes which was not bad. The wait staff was very courteous and attentive. The food was good. We enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi.

We have been going to Uncle Peter's for years and the food and service has always been consistently great !!!!! They have great wines and make terrific drinks and are reasonably priced for all the food they give you. They have desserts that are just fabulous and please indulge in one of their ice creams which taste like home made. We have never had a bad meal or bad service there.

Four of us dined on a Thursday night at Uncle Peter's and we all very much enjoyed the evening. The menu is varied, so it was easy for everyone to find something they'd like. Three of us ordered steaks and one got Chicken Parm and a Caesar Salad. Our steaks were cooked as we asked for them and they were flavorful and juicy. I loved the avocado and tomato salad that topped my skirt steak. We sampled from just about every course, including desserts and everything was great. Recommended restaurant!

We lunched there celebrating my adult daughter's birthday. She lives in the neighborhood and dines there often. The service was very good and the food was really tasty, and cooked to our liking. The area is very busy, so parking can be an issue; although in fairness they offer valet parking.

The wife treated me to a birthday meal at Uncle Peter's with family...and what an evening! We were promptly seated upon arrival (valet parking is available) and appetizers and drinks were ordered. Try the seafood sampler! Our server was courteous and attentive, and the menu quite diverse (Uncle Peter's advertises itself as an Italian restaurant but clearly with a Latino flavor). I ordered the half lobster risotto with mushrooms...one of the few times I ate slowly to savor every forkful! We ordered pitchers of sangria with our meal and desserts afterwards...including a candle on my chocolate lava cake! Uncle Peter's is a small but intimate restaurant and you do get first-class service. Overall we were all very happy with our evening here!

Uncle Peter's is great. The wait service is excellent, the selection diverse and the atmosphere is very conducive to conversation. The prices are reasonable and they give you a really healthy serving of wine for the money. I would highly recommend it. My friend had the steak it comes with a choice of sauces. My fish was excellent, moist, not overcooked and nicely flavors. But the desert was the killer. some kind of cake thing with an interior of sinfully warm chocolate. Pure heaven in your mouth. Top it off with a strong espresso and you have the formula for a perfect dinning experience

Far classier than the usual neighborhood red-sauce joint (but with plenty of red-sauce favorites), Uncle Peter's is an oasis of truly delicious Italian food - and a surprise in its forlorn Northern Boulevard location. Superb and attentive service, plus unusually good wines by the glass, help to make this a really special find.

Located on the border of Jackson Heights and East Elmhurst, this gem is not just a neighborhood gem but for all of Queens. The 'Chopped Salad' is the best dollar for dollar salad anywhere, Manhattan eateries included. The 'Rigatoni Alla Peter" is superb. The "Mushroom Risotto (w. truffle oil)" is always cooked perfectly. The service is always on point, knowledgeable and never intrusive. The owner knows his stuff about wine as well so be sure to take advantage when he's around, and he usually is, you can't miss his smile and infectious personality. I been coming here for years and will continue to come as long as I live in NYC.

Found Uncle Peters via Open Table while on an evening layover at Laguardia. Lobster Ravioli and lasagna were both excellent. Ambiance perfect for a quiet dinner after a long travel day. Only issue was two staff that were both waiters and bartenders. While they provided great service, the were definitely busy and left us alone a bit too long occasionally. That said I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return next time I'm in the area.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 12/31/2012
Under new management, Uncle Peter's greedily overbooked reservations for New Years Eve [31 December, 2012]. My wife and I are frequent patrons of this excellent restaurant located a few blocks from our apartment in Jackson Heights. We were dismayed to find the small entrance crammed with diners who had reservations and who were waiting [more than 30 - 45 minutes] to be seated. It was bedlam, service stretched beyond its capabilities, and we decided to forgo what we had earlier anticipated as a pleasant celebratory evening. We walked down Northern Blvd and found another restaurant which was satisfactory.
