  • "I feel Uncle Jack's is on par with the other Manhattan steakhouses; better than some but nothing that differentiate it from others. We started with salds which were fresh and better than average. I had the NY Strip which was done perfectly and my wife had the Filet also done perfectly. The side of garic mashed potato was good.If yoiu are in the Times Square area it is a short walk and a nice quiet place for dinner. I would go back if in the area."

  • "The food is always wonderful. I made the reservation through Open table and I mentioned on the request that it was a birthday. I for got that I even wrote that on the request until our server came over with a dessert with a candle in it. It was very thoughtful. One do the reasons besides the amazing steak and beautiful setting that we keep going back."

  • "We had a 5 PM reservation, which wound up @ 3PM the lunch crowd was gone and the dinner crowd hadn't arrived yet. We sat for almost 3hrs without being disturbed. The porterhouse for 3 (78oz) was delicious, cooked to perfection. The side dishes were large enough to share. They also had nice dessert menu."

  • "Food- delicious steak & excellent quality. Sllightly disappointed that the steaks were undercooked. Asked for med to med well and steaks came out med rare. Oysterjackafella was ok, probably wouldn't order again. Creamed spinach & garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic accompaniments. Service- they forgot to bring out the salad course but were nice enough to comp a dessert plate (completely unnecessary as we were already stuffed but we definitely appreciated them going the extra mile to make up for it). Service staff was overall excellent; appreciated that they were not overly stiff or pretentious. Overall- had a great steak dinner. Appreciated that it was low key and that the food was completely satisfying. Would recommend in a heartbeat."

  • "We went to Uncle Jack's because we enjoyed watching Restaurant Stakeout. Not only did the restaurant look like we expected but the food and atmosphere were only outmatched by the food. Everything, truly everything, we ordered was delicious. Our captain ordered a great wine within our budget (cannot afford a $1000 bottle of wine) which complimented our food choices very nicely. I have been a restaurant manager for 25 years and really have little to criticize. Our captain was tested on her knowledge as we asked many questions, but she knew the answers. Very expensive for us, but was well worth the money spent. We were there for three hours by our own pacing and enjoyed every minute of it."

  • "I chose it to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary while visiting NYC from Ireland and hoped it would be as good as claimed on "Restaurant Stakeout"? I need not to have worried! The food was amazing, From the amazing bacon starter (it will truly surprise you), to the huge and perfectly cooked steak, right down to the cocktails - it was faultless food. And the staff were just fantastic. Great recommendations, attentive without hovering over the table, and our 'Table Captain' even compt'd a drink my wife tried but didn't like after a sip! We have even booked a party of 6 for Mother's Day as it falls on my daughters birthday and I can't think of a better place for her to celebrate her birthday on her first visit to NYC! Thanks."

Comfortable upstairs dining area, attentive service but not intrusive, Head Waiter guided us to the perfect menu choices and the pace of the meal was unhurried but not slow. Iceberg wedge salad was fantastic. Porterhouse for two was fork tender, juicy, and flavorful. Not an inexpensive meal but we would definitely go back - it was fairly priced for the quality of the experience."

We've been several times over the years and it's always excellent and we are always well taken care of. It was a busy night and we sat close to others but we made friends with our neighbors and ended up having even more fun. My only complaint was it was too much food! As always, Uncle Jacks was a delicious and fun night. It's one of our staples for NYC!"

  • "sat for 10min before we got water. Mixed up our order with table next to us. Waiter said he was to busyand had just gotten slamed and made the misstake but whe we requested to speak to the waiter it to 2 requests to get him. We went because of TV Show thinking it would be top service. Asked waiter the best way to have the steak cooked he said med-rare we asked about the way it was going to be served(hot plate) My wife likes it very rare and the plate did cook. I enjoyed the med -rare but remeber the plate does cook it. They did comp our side dish because it came out wrong(it was for the table next to us). We had our side dish for desert."
