It was an early pre-theatre dinner, so the restaurant was not crowded and we had excellent service. My wife's filet mignon and my short ribs were both some of the best we've enjoyed anywhere. As we got a little impatient waiting for the bill, our server brings over dessert and congratulated us on our anniversary! The manager also came over a few minute later to congratulate us. The hubby and I treated ourselves to a late night dinner at this Trip Advisor recommended establishment and it was wonderful. Our waiter, Sean, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the menu selections and offered a few personal touches to make our first time experience there one to not forget. The wine list is extensive with several nice offerings and not overwhelming at all. Don't miss the crab cakes! I couldn't decide if it was the quality of the crab or the amazing shrimp bisque like sauce that made the dish wonderful. I don't know if it was the best but it was certainly very good!! The food was delicious! From the bread basket to the chocolate souffle cake! We had the jumbo shrimp and crabcakes for appetizer. The most jumbo shrimp I have ever seen came out and it was very good. You could tell that it was fresh and it was presented very nicely. I wasnt too blown away by the crabcakes but they were still good. For dinner we had the filet, and order of surf and turf and the 'fred flintstone' and everything was superb!! The lobster that came with the surf and turf was so juicy and succulent! Best lobster I have had in a long time!! He practices what he preaches - service was outstanding. We started at the bar with cocktails - bartender was great - very pleasant and made sure we were taken care lf. All steaks were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful (10 & 16 oz filet, tomahawk rib chop and lamb chops). Our group ordered creamed spinach (awesome), mushrooms and the mashed potatoes (these were ok, nothing special). Nice wines - prices as expected for Manhattan. We were well taken care of by a team of waiters yet never felt rushed. The Porterhouse was delicious and cooked to our liking as were the side items. The plate it was served on wasn't very hot and the meat cooled off by the time we got our the final pieces. The service was excellent as our waiter spent time explaining the menu, assisted my kids with their choices, and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I have watched Restaurant Stakeout so had to try it! The location was right off of 5th avenue, which was closed due to the Easter Parade. Our party of 6 was seated on the railing on the 2nd floor and the setting was wonderful for our Easter Brunch. The decor was definitely lovely. Our waiter Costa was efficient and anticipated our every need. Our table sampled the Crab cakes benedict, avocado/lobster salad, caprese salad and steak and eggs. The food was superb, but this restaurant absolutely shines with its service. I've never been treated better. There's a sign above the bar that reads; "The customer is king," and that's exactly how they treat you. We had a child with us who really didn't want anything off the menu, so we asked the Captain if it would be possible to get some kind of chicken fingers or something and he responded; "Sure, we'll make her anything she wants." When her food arrived, she not only had what she wanted, but they were easily the best chicken fingers she ever had. They looked like they were made from scratch with homemade breading that was seasoned just perfectly and the chicken breasts were awesome.
