"The food was very good but to be honest the service was not good at all. We stood at the "Host Stand" for a good five mins which is a long time to just stand before anyone even said hello. Than we were sat and picked our appetizer, dinners and waited another few mins. before anyone even offered us a drink. Salad came out really quick appetizer to follow which seemed odd but like i said food was really good. I wanted a refill and my husband was going to order a glass of wine with dinner but our server only came back to check in after we were eating our main course so there was no point. We will likely will go again an take out and eat at home but I don't think we will go and feel obligated to leave a tip to someone that never "Served" us."

"We enjoyed Umberto's after finding it was one of the only places open on New Year's Eve. My husband and I booked the Open Table space just minutes before arriving. The food was excellent; my husband had a tri-color salad and the scungilli marinara, and I had the calamari marinara. The food was fresh and delicious, although it being NYE it took an inordinate amount of time to be served because the restaurant was completely packed when we arrived. If that is unusual for service because of the crowds (the take-out line was out the door!), then I would definitely return."
