  • "We made our reservation for 5:00pm & we were glad we did. We began with the Wild Mushroom & Spinach Tart.It was fresh & tasty. Our server was excellent & really helped to make the evening a delicious & fun outing. With her help we were able to select 2 whites & 2 reds that went very well with our food choices. Our second course was the Seafood Paella which was again an excellent choice as the seafood was fresh, cooked just right, served with a very tasty sausage, all on a bed of rice. We finished up with the pear dessert which was good but not as good when compared to the other dishes. We enjoyed watching the other dishes arrive at the neighbouring tables & getting their recommendations as we planned our menu for our next visit. , E"

  • "The duck leg was the best duck I've had so far. The steak was perfect and the Bowmore 15 scotch complimented really well. You can smell rain, shoe polish, leather, toasted olives. The poached pear with waffles was a nice light finish to the meal. It may be a bit packed in the location but the food is worth the wait. For the price and quality of food I think Tzin is starting to get closer to Red Ox Inn as one of the best restaurants in the city."

  • "I think who ever decides the menu here is amazing. It is so hard to choose what to have because everything looks and tastes great. Portions are just right and perfect for sharing. The service is extremely good - friendly, knowledgeable and professional. A great night out!"

  • "My boyfriend and I dined at Tzin over the weekend. The atmosphere was great and the wine selection was extensive. It was a tiny restaurant but felt very cozy and romantic. We enjoyed the food but it was definitely not worth the price!!! We won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it because of this."

  • "You come here if you want an amazing experience. The service, atmosphere, and wine and food pairings are top notch. You have the ability to try numerous wines and different foods that will blow you away. Sure it can be "pricey" for the amount you get, but if you appreciate the time and love they put into creating this experience for their patrons...the money doesn't matter. It's worth it and they deserve it. Our suggestion would be to go there and try different things and be flexible. Let the servers help you decide as well as they are extremely knowledgeable."

  • "This is a very small and intimate restaurant. I was initially taken aback by how small, but once we were seated the closeness of the other tables didn't feel as intrusive as I thought it would. There were 3 in our party, and we selected 4 tapas dishes, and then followed with 2 deserts. The menu had a good range to choose from, and we all enjoyed every dish we selected. We were all satisfied prior to desert, but 2 of us were just too greedy, and considering how much we'd enjoyed the other dishes we were eager to try something sweet (we didn't regret the indulgence!). The service was excellent, and we all agreed that we'd definitely have to go back again."

  • "Tzin never fails to impress. Our night was once again amazing, with food and service beyond compare. Most importantly we were happy to see the Bacon on the menu. Get the Bacon. Thanks again to Tzin staff!"

  • "I've been going to Tzin for a few years now, and have never been let down or disappointed. The food is amazing, and the staff's knowledge of the wine list is second to none. It’s a great place to get a way and savor good food, with someone or a little group. Its tucked away, and the people that go there are friendly, well dressed and are there for the same reason, too get away from the rush. It’s nice to get away from the common scene, and just enjoy a moment in Tzin. I will go back, and I hope that you go as well. Cheers"

  • "Food, ambiance and knowledgeable staff were outstanding, I could 'almost taste' the food as the waitress described some of the menu choices. Food was served it 15 mins and was very presentable, tasty and the Seafood Paella exceeded our expectations. A well stocked bar and fine wine selection rounded out an overall great neighborhood gem. A great find and we will definitely be back"

  • "I haven't been here for a few years, I think because so many new places have popped up in Edmonton it just didn't come to mind. Anyways, it was FANTASTIC. The food was delicious, the flavours were wonderful. Our server's excitement over the food was contagious, and she offered us free samples of wine that she thought we would like based on our wine order. I can't say enough. I hope to get back there ASAP."

  • "First time at Tzin. Very enjoyable. Great staff and service. Unfortunately a loud group of 8 sat beside us which made it rather noisey but you can't control other people. After that table left the place took on a very romantic ambience. And we had a wonderful experience. The place is small but cozy. We will definitely return."

  • "Although the entire restaurant can only seat about 20, we received very professional service. We went there knowing the dishes would be tiny but we went for an evening of wine sampling. I left all 3 of my wine selections up to the server and was never disappointed. The menu has a pretty good range of tapas and we ordered the brie along with 2 set menu selections with 3 tapas each. The evening cost us 100.00 per person but we did not hold back on the wine or food. If you go, you must try the bacon!"

  • "We went for a bit of a celebration dinner, had the seafood paella and some desserts. The paella was good, but rather ordinary in flavour combination and not overly vibrant. The desserts were superb though, very delicately put together and thoroughly savoured. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was intimate and friendly. A good dining experience all in all!"

  • "Savoured every bite and the service was truly excellent. It was our first time at Tzin. When we walked in we were a little taken aback at the small space. Glad that didn't stop us from enjoying this great little place. Delightful in every way. Dinner was outstanding."

  • "With only 7 tables and room for another 4 at the espresso/wine bar I am glad I made a reservation on Open Table. We ordered an appetizer of baked Brie with an apples and Saskatoon berry compote. It was accompanied by a thinly sliced baguette. We ordered the seafood paella for 2 as our main. It came with an assortment of seafood including shrimps, scallops, mussels, thin sliced sausage and crab piled in the center of the nicely presented dish. All of this was on a bed of wonderfully flavoured rice. Both dishes we ordered were outstanding. Not a cheap place to eat but well worth every penny spent!"

  • "First impression was great - it's a beautiful, cozy space and we were seated fairly quickly. The server was very friendly and excellent when present, but she didn't really come by to ask how things were, whether we had questions, whether we were ready to order, whether we wanted the bill, etc... I had to get her attention to request these. For a small restaurant, service was SLOW. I can understand allowing time for chatting, but 40 minutes between ordering and the first course? A bit ridiculous in my opinion. The food was mostly very good, but definitely a bit pricey. We had the mushroom/spinach tart, bacon, potatoes, and pear dessert. 5/5, 4/5, 4.5/5, 3.75/5. Overall I'm glad I went, but due to value, it'll be a while before i return."

  • "My sisters and mother were looking for someplace new and different to go for dinner. We don't all get to Edmonton very often and were celebrating. We decided on Tzin and weren't disappointed. The four of us ordered a variety tapas and a wonderful Chardonnay. Tzin is a small intimate restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is prepared in the smallest kitchen I have ever seen in a restaurant and comes to the table hot and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant, a reservation any night of the week is a good idea."

  • "I took my best friend here for a saturday night out, she was visiting from out of town. The atmosphere was wonderful. Close space but so fun for an intimate visit and catch up getting quality service and one on one attention from the servers and owner as she was there talking to every one. The wine and food was spectacular. Great place to take a small group or people that enjoy food and wine. Great over all experiience. I would definatley go back ."

  • "We attended as a group if four. Waitstaff and hostess were very pleasant and had great senses of humour- attentive but not intrusive. Food was excellent -tapas style, so great for sharing. Very tasty and well prepared. Everything was delicious, creative, and nicely presented. Great wine list too."

  • "I have been very disappointed with the Edmonton restaurant scene until we dined at Tzin's. The food is creative and the wine list is amazing, especially if you like white wine. Well done!"

  • "Very attentive staff and great tapas! We went there with two couples and though the space is not large, felt very comfortable. Would recommend a reservation as it gets busy."

  • "I really enjoyed the whole experience at Tzin, from the moment we were greeted at the door, until we were helped on with our coats as we left. Lots of choices of wine by the 1/2 glass or full glass. Food was lovely, service was outstanding. This place is tiny - it only seats about 16 people - so make a reservation. You won't be disappointed."

  • "My best girlfriend and I had one of the best dining nights at Tzin ever! The service was beyond impecable from, owners and kitchen staff as well. The food blew our minds and the wine was to die for. We will continue to come here for more great experiences and tell the world about this little gem!"

  • "Enjoyed the food options/tapas plates. Some interesting selections! Service was very good - and when things were "up" in the kitchen, they were served immediately. The wine list was interesting but disappointed that there were so few Canadian wines on the list...Wouldn't be a place I'd go for a "quiet" or "special" evening out - you're pretty cozy with your neighbours!!"

  • "5 star menu and wine list. Local fare made exquisite by an amazing chef. Wine list is wonderful - and the service is incredible. Loved our experience."

  • "I arrived at this restaurant with very high expectations and it certainly delivered. Every plate was amazingly good and the wine was great as well. Our group was on the large size for this restaurant with 6 of us. It is a tiny restaurant but I believe this adds to the charm and likely to the high quality of the food."

  • "The staff really know their food and wine. Very helpful with suggestions when asked. Thoughtful wine list, and staff are happy to let you taste in order to find the perfect pairing. Food is tasty and creative, locally sourced when possible. Staff an tell you about their producers, obvious care and attention is taken in getting your tapas selections from farm to plate. This is quality food, and a quality dining experience all round. The space is small, so noise level can be higher at times, but it never seemed obnoxious. Looking forward to a return visit!"

  • "Visiting from Calgary and got to visit this little gem before I left. We had the lamb meatballs, the garlic prawns, and the chocolate mousse dessert. Everything was amazing. Our server was also one of the best I've ever had - she had great energy and was very knowledgeable of the menu.I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Looking forward to my next visit!"

  • "Excellent food and service. We ended up spending 4 hours there!!! Attention to detail is second to none, loved everything they brought out. Wish they had a bigger place with more tables so that it would be easier to get a reservation. This is not someplace you can drop in on. Get a reservation a couple days in advance for a weekday."

  • "My wife and I had a very busy week, and were looking to make resos at the last minute on a Friday night. We happened to chance upon Tzin and decided to give it a shot...we were very glad we did! We've been to a few tapas restaurants in Edmonton in the past, none of which really left much of an impression, but we must say that Tzin definitely shone! A nice, cozy spot (very few tables inside), with the chef's cooking right at the front corner of the space. All of the dishes that we had were delicious, fresh, and had great presentation. Our favourites were the baked brie with saskatoon berries, the flat iron stake with caramel sauce, and the baked chocolate mousse! Nice wine list too. Highly recommended."
