Typhoon Asian BistroPretty Asian FusionTyphoon Bistro is a very nice pan Asian restaurant. It is pretty with white tablecloths and a small outside area with tables. The best things we had were the sauteed scallops and the flambe dessert. A Japanese style seafood soup was not too flavorful but the ingredients were very fresh. The chopped chicken in lettuce leaves appetizer was so so and the eel unagi was also good but not the best we've had. Overall, though, the service was excellent and we had a good time. The prices also seem a bit high but it is in the heart of the Back Bay so that's what's normal around there. Nice ambience with a ton of different (colorfully attractive) liquors! Great variety of Asian foods - not just Japanese/sushi. Meal was very enjoyable. Food and service were both great. My only issue was that it seems to be on the small side, so tables feel cramped together. However, this was across from bar... perhaps in the main rooms it is better? Where we were sitting, there was a draft from the front door so it was cold, and we were surrounded by tables with loud talkers so it was difficult for us to hear each other (and not eavesdrop). They put us in the window, so we got a nice view of Boylston. My guy and I really enjoyed this from beginning to end. Great food, fresh sushi many kinds to choose from and tasty fun cocktail!
